Rather B Fishing
Hot water tank has a mixing valve which mixes cold water with the extra hot water from the tank to bring it down to what a tank would normally produce. A 10 gallon tank then produces a volume like a 16 gallon. Is there any special process to winterize with this valve. This spring we were getting just a trickle of hot water. It improved over a couple of weeks. The cold water being supplied to our unit was very cold but as it warmed up so did the hot water flow. Could this have been a factor? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Could this have been a factor? The temperature of the two water supplies will impact the resulting mixture. The mixing valves can become contaminated with minerals from the water and need cleaning and most of them are adjustable. How do I clean a thermostatic mixing valve?
