In February 1862, fighting broke out along the Tennessee and Cumberland rivers. Both sides quickly realized this route would be a major military byway. The Battle of Franklin was fought on November 30, 1864, in Franklin, Tennessee, as part of the Franklin–Nashville Campaign of the American Civil War. After breaking for lunch in Franklin, head to Nashville on the same road used by the soldiers 150 years ago. This package includes, as time permits.
