2gypsies
John Day Fossil Beds Nat'l Monument in east central Oregon is perfect for quiet touring. Hwy 26 is OK for any size RV. Clyde Holliday State Rec. Area campground is great for a stay! https://www.nationalparkstraveler.org/2021/05/national-parks-traveler-checklist-john-day-fossil-beds-national-monument Quote Full-timed for 16 YearsTraveled 8 yr in a 2004 Newmar Dutch Star 40' Motorhome and 8 yr in a 33' Travel Supreme 5th Wheel
StargazerAL
Hi 2gypsies, I'd second that recommendation. I like the layered hills (mountains) in the area. Might add to make sure you have supplies as it is more isolated. In an RV you usually have enough supplies to last you the duration. Did a bit of rock hounding in the eastern part of Oregon.
