ALLOY
Welcome to the forum. Good to have you here. Not cooling in the fridge is a common issue. Kirk W
No cooling at all in the chill box area? Might you have knocked the thermistor off of the cooling vanes in the freezer? It might do that sort of thing if it was left dangling on the wire in place of where it should be clipped to a vane. Mind sharing with us how you defrosted it? Did you just let the ice melt, or did you help it in some way? Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Jeanette711
Thanks, Kirk, I allowed the ice to melt while a pan of warm water was in the freezer. I’m going to ask a knowledgeable friend to look at the thermistor wire.

You did the defrost in the proper way. I thought that you might have pulled ice off of the vanes and so pulled off the thermistor as well. The cooling of the refrigerator is all controlled by the thermistor that is in the freezer. In an RV refrigerator, the coolant travels through the coils in the freezer first and then through those in the chill box area. The freezer will always cool first. It typically takes at least 6 hours to cool back down but if it has now been 24 hours and isn't cool, there is some sort of a problem. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years......
