Transmission shift pad light stays on with engine shut down and ignition off?

Hi all, has anyone experienced this? Ive been driving all day and sitting in a cg and the N is lit up on my shift pad. I have never seen this before....any suggestions?

Did you verify that you are indeed in Neutral?

Hi....i guess I should be a little clearer. The engine is off and the ignition is off. The shift pad should be off...no lights....I have lights. This is not good and I am wondering what could be wrong. I have tried turning the ignition on and off a few times and even wiggled the key but the shift pad just stays lit up.
