Delcie's laser surgery was a success. We both have caterac surgery in early Dec.
LIFE IS GOOD!!!
Freddy and Delcei
So happy to hear this. Life is good!!!

Jim.... glad the surgery went well and you are on the mend.
Everything went really well and he's home and asleep in his own bed now.

The Dixons may not do Q this year. In fact we may not go anywhere besides AJ this year. This summer was really hard financially and we need to recoup from that. Then Jim has more surgery on the 9th of November. I'm sure he'll be feeling good by January but we are not going to push it. Now this isn't to say that we might not change our mind. You know how plans go in this lifestyle.

I have always used Firefox and have never had a problem. Now tomorrow I probably won't be able to see the pins.

We are back in AZ for the winter, 3 months in Ft McDowell, then 3 months in Yuma. Planning of a summer of racing in the Mid West, starting with the Indy 500 in May. John has his cancer scans at Mayo this week, pray everything goes well.
Cheryl - sure good to hear from you. Prayers for John. Cancer scans are so scary. Jim has another coming up also. Sounds like a fun summer.

Just checking in so we won't be discarded with the quitters. Currently in MI and heading south the first of Nov.ish..... Going to KY. to finish the Bourbon Trail first, then maybe Smokey Mnts. or not....it's up to us and the weather but we will be south enough before it snows here in the midwest. Looking forward to seeing anybody from the group in FL this winter.

Good to hear from you. Lots of folks in Florida this winter so hopefully you all can have a get together.

Meant to tell you - Denise is here in AJ also. She has been really sick (like she was in Q a couple of years ago) with a cold but we saw her at Walmart today. She is still far from well but is improving. We'll be doing a lot of checking on her as she's going to be here for a few more weeks.
Jan - keep posting. Glad you're getting back on here.

So glad Carol is okay. I know all about those gall stone attacks. More painful than anything else ever. Like Toni - I had mine removed in my early 20's.
We are in Apache Junction. We ended up sitting on the side of the freeway for 8 1/2 hours. The service guy came from who knows where but a zillion miles away and then he didn't have all the parts we needed so he had to go get them. Good grief. By that time it was almost time for the sun to go down and we were a little frazzled. We pulled into Sunset Point Rest Area for the night. So many trucks and they are noisy. I can handle road noise but not this truck parked next to us. Thank goodness Jim can sleep through anything. Came on home this morning with duct tape holding the cap on the wheel. Exhausted but safe.
Compared to Lee's "adventure" this was nothing. Just frustrating.

Finally got out of Montana. It was 31 when we got up this morning - definitely time to move south. We're in Rexburg ID tonight (I went to college here a zillion years ago). Tomorrow further west to Craters of the Moon.

Thanks Jeri
Delcie has a new Yorkie, 13 weeks old and a live wire, Her name is Echo Hope everyone is having fun .

Can hardly wait to meet the new member of your family. And see you guys too, of course,

Jim is fishing. Happy man. We're at a fishing access campground just outside of Ennis, MT. It's right on Ennis Lake and it's free. My kind of campground. No over the air TV but good Verizon signal. Slowly starting to make our way west and south.
-
Hey Lee - sure am glad you are still with us. That is downright scary.
-
So fun to spend a couple of hours with Toni and Doug. One of the best things about this lifestyle - you just never know who you're going to meet up with along the way.
-
I, too, remember that "pool" that Jeri and Terry had outside their rig in Florida. I also think Joe had to wear his rubber boots to get out of his rig to walk the pup.

I know that Paul, for one, subscibes to the "I want my home and my transportation to be separate" . What he means is, after he drives 200-300 miles in a day, he doesn't want to just swivel his seat and be in his living room. He likes the fact that when we are moving from spot to spot, we are in the truck, and when we set up the house, we move into the trailer.
Its not about the separate vehicle for driving around town. Many people don't care about the separation, but some do.
Sue
After having both a motorhome and a fifth wheel - we agree with Paul. Separate works for us. We are currently at Makoshika State Park in Glendive, MT. No phone, no internet, no TV, no hookups. Beautiful and quiet. Have to drive to town (maybe 1 1/2 miles) to get service.

So disappointed - the clouds have moved in and the moon has disappeared. Hope somebody somewhere takes some good pictures for me to look at.

If my brain worked that hard it would have to take a Steve for the next three weeks
Lee - let me tell you, we slept really good that night. It was not easy.
-
We had so much fun the other night. We took the kids to the Grand Escape here in Billings. They lock you in a room and give you 60 minutes to decipher all the clues and get out. It was a fabulous fun time. We didn't escape in the 60 minutes but we were close. If you ever get a chance to do something like that - go for it. Really makes the ole brain work hard which, I guess, is good for it.
-
Denise - thanks so much for checking in. Sure hope that new medicine works so you can enjoy life again.
-
Jeri - I think your weather is headed this direction. We are going to get an early start tomorrow because they are taking 45 to 55 mph gusts starting tomorrow afternoon as YOUR front moves through. We're headed to Billings to get several appointments taken care of and to see the kids. Seems like we just got to Helena and I can't believe it's time to move on.
Lee - tp is the one thing I never let us run out of. So you can borrow some of ours if you want to head up this way.
-
I'm almost missing the heat of the Phoenix Valley. Only 37 here in Helena this morning. That is getting way too cold. However, it is supposed to warm up again starting tomorrow. By warm up I mean into the 70's and 40's.
-
Freddy and Delcie - we will be in AZ this winter so we're sure hoping you come our way for a visit.
-
We get to move our peg today. Moving a little further west to Pocahontas State Park for a few days. I'll stay there while Ed gets on a plane to fly to California. His sister had been ill and he was hoping that she would hold on until he was able to get there, but that didn't work out. So the family is planning a memorial service and he will be there for that.
Then it will be on the Amazon.
So sorry to hear about Ed's sister. Hugs to him.

Hey Sandie, Why'd you leave so early? We landed in Apache Junction for the night tonight. We found the oven we want at the Sears Outlet in Gilbert for $1300 less than anywhere else. The scratch is on the back
monday we rent a small Uhaul to get it back to Havasu.
Meanwhile we'll check out Payson and Apache Sitgreaves NF.
We really needed a break from the heat but sorry we missed you guys. Jim was really worried that his Montana boat wouldn't remember who he was.

Happy Thanksgiving from Apache Junction, AZ. So very grateful for all my blessings, family and friends.
