We're in Winnemucca and it is finally warm enough for me to put on a short sleeve shirt rather than a sweatshirt.

Linda - gorgeous bride. And those pictures are just great.

Sandie - If you are still in Clarkston go over to Lewiston to a place called Effies Tavern. The biggest burger you'll ever eat. Tina and I shared one and it was very good too.
Travel safe everyone.
Jeff
I saw that place as we drove through town but Jim has been really sick (we think it was the oysters he had) so we didn't make it Effies. We're headed out this morning and he is finally feeling better. Next time.

Good Morning Jeri and everyone. We have cloudy skies here in Clarkston, WA but no rain. Need to keep moving further south towards the sunshine. Hope everyone has had a wonderful summer.
-
you caught us and we did. We still own the mh and plan on traveling but not always out of here for the winter. I will be posting soon on what we've gone and done.
Wow

Every time I look up into a beautiful night sky, I will remember IYQ. So very grateful to have known him and shared part of his life. Lee, we miss you so much.

I am just devastated by the news about Lee. He will never be forgotten.

We finally signed the closing papers on the house in Billings so no more drive way parking for us. Thank goodness.

Just got back from the vet's office and dropped $420. Couple days ago, Willie stopped eating and drinking and could hardly walk. Thought at first that he might be missing his two girlfriends (Diane and Dianne) and just in a funk. Turns out that had slipped a disc in his spine and they discovered other joint issues. Gave him a steroid shot and some anti inflammatory pills. Bottom line is that he's getting old like the rest of us!

Check out DodgersList on FB. Lots of fantastic information on IVDD. We learned about it when Scooter went down. Getting old is not fun for humans or pets. Good luck.

Happy Anniversary Freddy and Delcie. Here's to another 44 great years.

Didn't realize that you guys are near Helena. We've stayed at the fairgrounds there several times when visiting my old room mate. In fact, I think that you guys came out and visited!
R
That's right we did. That was a few years ago and I'm lucky I remember last week. So come on out again next summer.

Love catchin' walleye and love eatin' 'em! Hoping to get up that way next season. How's the campgrounds there?
R
There are lots of BLM and state campgrounds with no hookups everywhere. We are at the KOA near Townsend, MT which is really a fishing camp. Weekends are incredibly busy. There is really only one RV park in Helena - Lincoln Road RV Park. But if all you need is electric - the fairgrounds is much cheaper. That's where John and Sharon stayed when they were here. I'm pretty sure we'll be spending another month here next summer so Jim can fish.
-
Had fish for dinner last night - walleye. Sure was some good eating. We still have enough for another dinner and hopefully he'll be catching more.
-
Time to start thinking about hitting the road - kids are heading back to school. I can't believe school in some areas has already started. YIKES!! As retired school teachers, we are sure glad school didn't start until closer to Labor Day.
We plan on heading to Gettysburg around the 12th of September and then roam down the East Coast before heading West. Hope to be in Houston for Thanksgiving with our daughter and then on to Arizona for the winter.
Safe travels everyone!!!
Definitely looking forward to seeing you guys in Arizona. Good times.

We finally made it to the Canyon Ferry Lake KOA. Now if the weather will calm down, Jim will hopefully be bringing home dinner a few times.
-
looking for a motorcycle rider? Saw an article about the guy trying to break a driving on water record that didn't make it. The water being Canyon Ferry Lake. He even had a life jacket and a safety rope. Sad news. But what was he thinking?????? And a night too.
Glad to hear Jim is getting out fishing. And I love walleye.
We don't have plans yet for winter. Maybe AZ, maybe not.
What's really sad about that motorcycle rider is that just a week before he had ridden his bike 17 miles across Canyon Ferry. 19 years old and I've decided 19 year old males don't think.

We're sure hoping to be back in Arizona for the winter. All depends on that house selling. Sounds like good times down that way. We're in Helena and starting next week we will be in a campground right on Canyon Ferry which is Jim's most favorite walleye fishing spot. Guess what he's going to be doing.

We're having a tough time today and really appreciate everyone's kind thoughts and words. Jim is keeping busy working on the house and hopefully it will be on the market by the middle of the month.
-
Lee - so very sorry to hear that things aren't going like we had hoped. Always remember how much we all love you and are thinking about you. And if they don't have an ice cream machine - you just make sure they get one for you.
-
All plans for winter are on hold waiting to see what happens with our house sale. Still hoping to get it listed by the middle of July. So other than working our rears off - it's really boring at our house.
Haven't heard from Lee for awhile. How are you doing?
-
Definitely not wine drinkers at our house. But I've always got our Diet Mountain Dew and water to share.
Made it to Ely, NV. And boy did we leave AJ at the right time. Going to be 108 to 112 there this next week-end. Hopefully a little bit cooler when we get to Montana. Glad to know everybody is safe. Been some bad weather out there.
-
Lee - sure hope you're having a great trip to South Dakota and that you are just relaxin' and enjoyin'.
We finally got out of town. Jim got a great report from the cancer doc yesterday and we left town this morning. We're in Wikieup for the night and it feels so good to be on the road.
-
That makes it nice, you can go there again and be excited again. I can have as much fun as I had yesterday never getting bored.
I may have to make a fast trip to Rapid city to get my drivers license renewed. I got a letter saying I could do it on the net but it is confusing. Monday we will call and check it out. If I have to go there one of my cowgirls said she will drive me up there.
I am not going to my Nieces place in Charleston. I told them I am not leaving and they are on thier way home. I am staying here in Deming till I croak. I'm not giving them the Navion. I have signed the Hornet over to the Low Hi RV Ranch but have been told to continue using it as long as I wish.
Lee - I'm glad you're staying in Deming. I'm hoping we can come back that way when we come down from Montana and this way we would get a chance to see you. Glad you are feeling so good. Keep those cowgirls happy.

"we had fun trying to remember where we had been in the country!! Memory is not what it used to be!! Got to run..... Steve"
And that is why I do a blog. Because I really and truly cannot remember where I was even a month ago. Sure am looking forward to moving out on Wednesday.

We are back in Apache Junction. And it's definitely "warm" here - 95 today. Once we got the house sold, we really had a great summer and lots of fun on our travels. But it feels kind of good to be back and settled for a couple of months at least. Now to start the round of doctor appointments. And all that kind of fun.
