  1. I had good intentions to come over there, but the time and money thing got in the way. :{ Did not plan on another "Down" payment this summer! :{ {{{BIGGER HUGS}}}
  2. Sounds great! I don't know what site yet...something in the back....we should be there in good time, hopefully. You pick the place! I'm really ready to be there. Sorry you're leaving so soon. We will be there for 3-4 weeks. One of my favorite places in the world... glad we'll get a couple hours anyway! I'll let ya know when we get there!
  3. Sandie, We'll be up there next Wed...at Rocky Mtn Hi....are ya still gonna be there? Maybe we can get together? Sounds like I'll have to get my slippers out!
  4. Thanks!!! I mean Gracias....and that's about all you'll get out of me...except a couple of cuss words and things that I won't say!!!! I hope we have good luck with this coach. So far there's been the usual new rig bugs and some that are pretty frustrating, but this at least is covered to the hilt with warranties, and an extended warranty, so maybe for quite a few years we're covered. Hope you get up to some cooler territory, I think the whole bottom half of the country is burning up! My yard in Nebraska is done dealing for this year. At least I'm saving money on mowing! Even when we were in Boise, we had 6 days over 100...and they said that is really rare. I've been doin a rain dance every chance I get. We need it everywhere. Hope you have a good weekend.
  5. Playing around a little tonight and trying to change my picture. It shows on my profile but not on my post. Maybe this one. If not, will look again tomorrow. Not sure I like this picture anyway!
  6. Finally able to take a breath! Just a note to let you all know it's been an interesting month. So sorry I haven't been around. When we started north to head to Oregon/Washington, our Betsy started giving us trouble. Isn't that usually the way when the extended warranties run out? Well, that was the case. We had the huge rig, pulling the huge car...and we had NO power. Sometimes down to 25 and up some pretty steep grades. We finally made it into Idaho after changing fuel filters, and being in a truck shop...then we went to Cummins and they diagnosed our problem and the part was between $3500-$7000 and no guarantee that it would be fixed or stay....so we decided to start looking. We sat up at a park and lo and behold....the fridge went out!!! Completely. No warning. Leaked out all the fluid....Done. After calling a repair man and looking at Camping World, they said that putting in a residential was the way to go...and to do that we would have to take out the windshield! There goes another $3500. No thanks. So we browsed through a dealership...found a coach that I liked, suprisingly enough they gave us a better trade than anyone offered us around Yuma last year! So, bit off the whole chunk! Bye Bye Betsy...hello Teddie. 2013 Thor Tuscany with 4 slides. We took possession on June 30...and it's been a whirlwind ever since. I've been busier than a little one armed paper hanger. Needless to say...with all the extra expenses, tax and license that we're just doing, the extra vacation funds are gone. Cut some miles off and headed back to the east. I regret not being able to be on the coast. We had lots of little things to do with the dealership that took longer and chewed up the time we alotted for that part of the country this year! We have been in and out of the dealership so my blog post is likely to be "How I spent my Summer Vacation at Dennis Dillons RV Center" We headed out from Boise on Sunday and we are now at Moses Lake WA. We are still going to go up to Kalispell for August and then head back down. I am enjoying my new house. Not likeing the extra work and time and expense much....but just couldn't put that much more in and still have a very old rig. Not just nickel and dimeing, $5000 and $10,000. Just life going on here now. We just sat through a severe thunderstorm. Hope it's over. Should be a very nice weekend. We will get out and do some touring if it is. Things will get back to normal one day soon. I'm playing catch up now!
  7. I haven't seen any rain since Jan. or Feb. and then was just mudballs. Sorry you guys are getting it all! Maybe we'll see some when we get farther east. Yes.... I'd like to see your article!!!! I'll pm ya my email on Facebook....I was sure you had it. Not sure of the plan for us this week. We have to get in somewhere and have the coach Turbo looked at. That may be a very expensive undertaking and will determine what we do the rest of the summer!
  8. Take care and try to stay cool...no....breaking down on that road would be no fun at all....nothin out there! Can't believe you're down there already! If ya get fed up...head north a little into the Rockies! That will give ya a break in the heat for a bit anyway!.... Just too hot down there!
  9. We made it to Idaho! It got up to 85 here. Such a relief...We stopped in Springville UT for a couple days and we had drove in such heat that our living room slide wouldn't work. Called a repair guy and ofcourse when he got there it had cooled down over night and worked right off the bat! We're having Turbo Issues though and they haven't gone away. I have a dog with Tracheal Bronchitis, had her to the vet today. Also went to Shosone Falls and took a walk by the Snake River here in Heyburn where they are hosting the 37th Annual Speed Boat Regatta. Watched a couple of the qualifying rounds and came home. Tomorrow we are getting up early and heading for Sun Valley and the mountains. Only will be about 72 up there. It will be in the 90s here the rest of the weekend, but it really doesn't feel that hot. Sounds like everyone is experiencing Summer at it's finest! These are the days that stories are made of, complete with memories to be shared over the winter camp fires! We'll be heading on East on Monday.
  10. Just left Las Vegas in the Rear view..... as fast as our wheels will go...we're headed north. It was 100 at 9:30! suppose to have some wind....don't like that, but we're moving on out! Still have about 370 today to go!!! We're headed NORTH! Yay!!!!! 80 is a dream.....

  12. Happy Father's Day to all you Dads roaming around out there! Hope Everyone has a fun plan for today and a safe one too.... We Got up really early this morning and I treated DH to a Father's Day Breakfast at Denny's and we washed the car!!! Not the most romantic thing in the world but wanted to do it before the car is burning up, like now! We will spend the rest of the day laying low to combat this extreme heat, and I have some chicken and burgers to throw on the grill later on. We will get up mighty early again in the morning and head up the road and head for cooler territory! Hope to make Springville Utah by tomorrow night. The plan was to stop and tour Bryce and Zion....however..... I stirred the jello again after looking at the weather forecast for this week, and just can't stay! That will wait for another time. Tues will be 119 at Zion!!!
  13. No kiddin! I agree! We are heading out in the morning. It got up to 113 here yesterday! Will be about the same today. Will just drive tomorrow and hope we get north enough to have a little relief, at least at night! Good luck with your Oral Surgery tomorrow..... Happy Father's Day today!
  14. Glad you're enjoying that part of the country. We stayed at Parker's Crossroads too. If ya have that FBI hat on...don't forget yer sunglasses!
  15. BTW.....if you can....box up a good helping of that damp and cool and ship it right on down here! i'm really HOT here now!
  16. Really.... Keep Freddy and Delcies location in mind for a while. Think those forest fires in New Mexico are bad and the one up in Colorado by Fort Collins is horrid! Denver is enveloped with smoke! Travel safe... We stayed there and dined at the #2 Cracker Barrel last summer about this time. Great area.

  19. We're slowly and certainly headed that way! Have to be in Baker City Or. on the 3rd of July....and will stay there a few days and then move on. Will see what the weather is then! 109 here this afternoon.... :{ I'm not sticking my nose out. we sat out and visited with another couple until noon and that's the extent of my day!
  20. Hello All! I feel like I've been in Exile!! Lots happening with us. Finally sat down and read back a few pages. I had to re enter my user and password. As I write this, a crew is washing Betsy... we are a big dirt ball from all the desert blows. After the deer event we found a body shop in LVegas. They took off the bumper (whole front) of the car. We were ok to drive to Pahrump. Yeah right. Ended up along the road... DH ( MacGyver) with a piece of rope and screwdriver anchored the wheel well guard after it got a hole in it! The rest of the 42 miles at 35 mph was no picnic. Now we have to drive the 70 + miles back the same way! Tomorrow we get it put back together. Will leave here before 6 am. :{ The triple digit heat is here for the duration...no rain in sight. I'm sooo ready to go north. If I can talk DH into it, we will pull out before our month is up, which is Monday, but not likely. Monday where we are stopping is suppose to be 109. I'm getting de ja vous from last year! YUK> Toni, so sorry bout Parker. Hope he's a better guy now. (((Hugs to you all))) IYQ...take care of yourself...don't head too far west....the heat, fires and storms will get ya!Freddy and Delcie probably could use some company though! We are on being wowed with some sights we haven't seen before. I'm ready for some cool and damp! I'm going to stay in and update my blog today! No real reason to be outside at this point. Life will be better when we get the car back together!
  21. Don't see any one posting today! Hope everyone was busy doing fun things. I'll bet your day couldn't have sucked as bad as mine! Ol' Foofy hit a deer about 1 o'clock this afternoon on a straight away in broad bright sunlight! Not good but could've been worse! Only damage to the bumper...a basketball sized dent on the drivers side. At least that's all the naked eye sees for now....being Saturday nothing open to know! Anyway...delayed plans....not leaving for Pahrump on Monday now.... headed to the body shop instead! all up in the air! Ain't life grand?
  22. Check all that Utah beauty out and tell me if theres something we shouldn't miss. Will spend some days in Cedar City on our way north in the middle of this month. Hope you enjoy it now and no more "excitement!"
  23. We've been really busy and now my Reunion and Memorial Weekend is over....we are winding down and starting to pack things up here again. We will be leaving on Monday heading back to Nevada and then on north on the 16th.Still trying to get used to this new computer. It's not the same! Yay Jim and Sandie. Glad you're on the move once more. I'm ready to move out and move on and see some sights. Glad we get to go back through the Rockies again. They were really beautiful the day we came from the west. I'll try to be better now with reading and posts. Miss all you guys... hope you're all gonna have a great summer.
  24. Sounds like you have a great place to be for the summer. We're headed up your way - the long way...after visiting the coast of Oregon and Washington.... we have Res. in Kalispell at Rocky Mountain Hi for the whole month of August... will be up in the park several times I imagine...where are you working? Maybe we can stop by and say "hi!" while we're there at least!
  25. We are doing the opposite side of the country! Think we got this all covered! Right now we're having some excellent weather here in NE. if the wind would just go away. It's been great today, but the dust blowing here most days reminds me of AZ! Glad to hear you got your tire fixed. I got new computer this week and we are tons busy running with kids and grands and I can't hardly get a breath! We'll head back west shortly after the 1st of the month. It's been a nice break. My class reunion is next Sat. Got Danny a Kindle Fire when I got computer and I don't hear a word out of him much...he did look up and say to tell ya Hi! Enjoy! Miss you guys!
