  1. safe travels you guys.... looking forward to Arizona.
  2. OOps....I was thinking Lavins~! It rained here all night long, a gentle soaker. Woke up to really foggy...and now it has burned off and the sun is out. Fall is most definitely in the air here! We are headed to the Service Parking Lot at Thor...this will be yet another adventure. All prayers are appreciated! Hope for not too many days. We are also going to the Motor Home Hall of Fame and Library while we are here. Should be a good day and great way to kill time while waiting.
  3. thanks! Better try to call them. We made it here this afternoon. After set up and supper it's too late. We have a factory appt Monday morning, will go to the factory parking lot on Sunday. Then our life is not our own for a few days!
  4. You guys are becoming experts of lots of talking in a very short time!!! lol We have been on the road every day this week. We are in Utica Il. tonight. Headed for Elkhart tomorrow. We were going to drop south and miss Chicago, but for all the extra miles, I think we're going to buck up and go through the belly of the beast after rush hour tomorrow. We will make sure to take the toll roll as I think the traffic is less that way, and we will get right to the campground. Traffic today was credited with keeping us awake and aware! Forecast for rain tonight, we'll see. so far no clouds. Hope we have a good weekend in Elkhart. We'll get acquainted and then head to the Thor Factory early on Monday morning. This next week will be a real adventure. Hope everyone enjoys a little cooler weather and it is really nice to see some quieter campgrounds now. I still miss Montana! Later all... Good luck in jackpot!
  5. It's been a long weekend already and I probably won't know what day it is for a week! The Monday holidays always do me in for a bit. We left Kalispell on Friday. Travelled back down 95 to Missoula and the heavy smoke of the forest fires. Then east to Manhattan Montana to some friends that have a hook up for their coach and we stayed for 2 nights. We really had a ball...talked and ate and ate and talked, stayed up late, went to a Farmer's Market in Bozeman...ate.... drove to Virginia City and walked the streets, took the Historic Fire Truck Tour of the town. Experienced a rain shower... enjoyed their company immensely. It will be too long until we see them again, as they aren't coming to Yuma this winter and that's where we met! Today was a great day for a long ride. We left Manhattan and stopped in Billings at Cabelas to stretch and I had lunch. I think DH had a peek at some shotguns but came out empty handed. We saw a dead bear cub on the highway this morning by Livingston. We travelled down the road towards Buffalo Wy, were passed by a couple of NEW Prevosts. I mentioned that they probably belonged to a star. They were tagged from Tennessee. We finally stopped at a Scenic Overlook and they also pulled in. They were empty and we struck up conversation with the drivers....young men who contracts with stars and hauls them around. Just got done with a Lady Antebellum tour and Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney tour. They were headed to Sturgis tonight and I'm glad we only had 30 more miles instead of 200. While we were chatting, we witness a girl in a black car speed by, and POP the pass. front tire blew and pieces and parts flew everywhere! She did a great job steering to a stop and didn't wreck, but couldn't drive the car away. Having enough excitement for one day, we're ready to hit the hay, get up and do another 350 tomorrow! Happy Labor Day every body! Our goal is Sioux Falls tomorrow night. This coach travels much easier and we don't get nearly as tired and stressed. As Freddy says....Life is Good!
  6. Your ears must have been ringing! We were talking about you guys this afternoon and wondered if you were back yet. Glad the fridge held up....We are ready to head out in the morning. Will still be in Montana tomorrow night, and then on east on Saturday. I'm going to break a cardinal rule and travel every day of the Labor Day Weekend. I hate it but it's a necessary evil. We will be stopping for a day in Sioux Falls to take care of some business. Glad you had fun. Isn't it fun when the world is your oyster?
  7. Yay! We're back up...yep I was about have DEs Delerium Escapeez! :} I hope you like that MiFi...I have one. I really like it. I'm hoping that Yuma is 4G when we get back. Little ole Kalispell MT is 4G and is lots better. I'm really glad so many will be hanging out and moving around Yuma and Q area. Hope your new tires are good ones, we are getting ready to pull out in the morning and had to air up one this morning. Will stop at the tire place first thing and have it pulled and fixed. Our big journey starts in the morning.
  8. I'm all in with that! You forgot to mention Dates! :}
  9. That's too bad that the food was bad at the restaurant. One thing I have learned from a bad experience with Mexican food, if there's no cars outside and the location is difficult, DON'T bother. Your experience description was sad and hope you don't find one of those again! Goes to show, you can't always depend on the Reviews either. Sometimes even word of mouth is wrong, depending on the day. I was disappointed here yesterday as well...about the rain situation. We were forecast to have rain and we didn't get ANY! I'm ready for fall. Headed to do damage to the wallet at Wally world this morning. Oh boy!
  10. We will be in Yuma again as I already put a deposit on a lot last season. I loved it when you all were at Sidewinder Road. Jeri and Terry and Freddie and Delcie were there quite a long time in the spring before we all left and we had some more fun! Yuma has become my winter home. Familiar and easy! Weather has been great there and I'm all for that!!!
  11. Must be little invisible gremlins helping eat up all your groceries! It happens around here too!!! Bout spit my tea out reading about carving your heart! Note to self: Do not read IYQs posts while drinking liquids! Glad you got the A/C business figured out. No fun when it's that hot. Electric mysteries can be dangerous too! Things are starting to quiet down here too. Much more action on the weekends. We made a run up to Cranbrook B.C. yesterday and visited some friends. They drove us around and showed us their town,rv park and many golf courses. Saw 26 deer and most were by the road last night coming home. Home safely with no dents. Today we went down by Swan Lake and saw 4 deer, and 4 turkeys. Stopped at a self-serve dog wash and KayCee got a bath! Tomorrow will be a supply run here too. Hard to believe that the summer is coming to an end. We got rain last night and our temps still warm up to 80 in the afternoon, but down in the 40s & 50s at night. Feels really good.

  13. Well, with our upcoming trip half way across the country and back I am getting excited to get underway. We will leave the 31st and head east. Our time here in Montana has been wonderful though. We went to the NW Montana Fair and Rodeo this week. People said it wasn't nearly as big as it used to be, but had plenty to see and EAT. The rodeo had World Class Riders, and an Indian Relay Race on Horseback that I've never seen, and the riderless horse really won! We have met another couple that just retired last year, he was a Homicide Detective in Fresno Ca. and she was a Nurse Practicioner/midwife for 30+ years. Very great couple and they winter in Yuma also! The guys have guns and ammo in common, so they will get together this winter and go shooting. Today we are going to get out and wash this rig. Suppose to be hot here. I've got laundry going and need to pick things up. Tonight, a couple of college girls who we met in Glacier Park - have been camping and hiking in the Glacier Back Country all week, we told them to call and we will go pick them up, bring them back here for the evening and I'll take them and their huge packs to the airport at 5 in the morning. I would like to think as a parent that someone would do that for me! I'll bet their folks are pretty worried. Two girls alone in Bear Country not too safe! I hope they call. It's the weekend so we will leave the activities for the weekend warriors. Well, I've procrastinated enough. Wish I could wiggle my nose and all would be done. Hope everybody has a great weekend. Toni, Good luck with the yayhoos. I have dealt with many partiers in the hotel and don't envy you!Be careful. Things here pretty uneventful! I like it that way.
  14. Happy Anniversary you two! We miss you also!!! Hope you have a great day and evening. We are going to the NW Montana Fair and Rodeo! Summer's 'bout over and then it'll only be a little while before we see ya again!!! Yippeeeee!!!
  15. I updated my Blog last night. Got some pretty cool pics from the surrounding area, and actually saw a bear in the wild eating Huckleberries in the bushes! Stoked me up and I'm ready to go to Glacier tomorrow. my blog addy is www.kayndan.blogspot.com Have fun and safe travels everybody!
  16. Don't know what happened to my reply to your post, but anyway..........glad you surfaced again, thought maybe you'd been playing in that disappearing cream a little too much! Sorry about the sat. but I really like my MIFI so far and haven't been anywhere that I haven't had service so far since I got mine in May. I'm sure it can happen, but there's lots more Verizon territory and lots more towers all over the place. Hope you like it. The only complaint I have is the battery doesn't stay up good enough, but if ya have elec. no problem. IYQ is missin ya too....he's pretending to be you all the time!!! Glad you're ok and having a good time. The thing about service is Nation wide I think. I have had trouble getting any appt up here. We are headed to Indiana and the Thor factory when we leave here. Will be in Elkhart the 10th of Sept. Probably for a couple weeks and then head for Arizona. Take care a safe travels.
  17. Missin you too! Glad you're ok....we'll catch ya somewhere along the line. :} take care you two!!!
  18. I second that thought! I asked some kids selling cherries today when school starts? Here its after the 1st of September. We'll be gone by then. For most of the country, it's coming up and I was in hopes that this would be about the last vaca weekend! Hope hope. We are sitting pretty tight, conserving on the money and recouping from the downsize. I second your weather report. I'm holding my breath that when we head to Elkhart Indiana the storms stay at bay! Next week will be a little busier. A trip to Glacier, a trip to Libby, Thursday night the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo.. so I'm resting up. Today we took a little ride and I saw a black bear munching on the Huckleberries right by the road. Cherries are about done. Party on crew! We need stories for the winter!!!!
  19. Good luck with all that stuff! So much to look forward to! Congrats.
  20. nice to see you're having fun, keeping busy with all those gals and they're keeping you out of trouble! Sounds like some brisk activities...next thing ya know, they'll be having ya up on a zip line! Take it easy and watch out for that hiney muscle! We were sittin around this afternoon and the sheriff drove around and around. Finally came in...I gave him all the opportunity to pick me up I could!!! Hope he found who he was looking for!!!! We're enjoying the sites and weather here. Will be taking a site seeing, wildlife hunting drive tomorrow. Never know what we'll come across!!!
  21. Getting a little confused or (a lot confused, I admit!) I changed my avatar pic, and profile pic, and this time the pixels aren't too big, and all the changes were accepted...and the old pic keeps coming up! How does that work? Sorry to bug about this, but thought I had it!!! Sorry.
  22. Our days are marching by. Have been to a wooden boat show, drove to Swan lake looking for wildlife and had dinner with Jim and Sandie before they took off headed east. We had some company yesterday, a couple came from Cranbrook, BC to visit. They winter with us in Yuma and had to sit out this last winter because of his back surgery and now this summer with her having three eye surgeries. Hope they can come south this year. It was good to see them. Today is hazy, a little warm but nowhere near triple digits. We are getting some satellite issues dealt with tomorrow, then will plan some trips to Glacier National Park. I am playing around trying to change my Avatar and picture on here again. Hope it works, it saved the changes this time.
  23. We landed in Kalispell yesterday afternoon. Been kind of a whirlwind since! Went for a real nice supper with Jim and Sandie last night. Had to talk fast though...we stopped for an Ice Cream downtown for dessert! More Talk talk Talk...quick.....they got to see our new rig up close for a few seconds...before they were off to get ready to pull out this morning. We slept in and then had errands most of the day. We got it to shower a little.... washed the car this morning! :} It is thundering as I write this and we'll get some more sprinkle tonight. It's 61 tonight and feels sooooo good! We will calm down now and take a breather!Just hope all the fires don't make it over here.
