  1. feeling for ya!!! Good luck with all that...we just did our 13 day Elkhart stint in the parking lot at Thor for the "tweeks" and still have to go back. :{ Need to visit the paint factory again and get a section of the coach repainted. Our awning still does not work at all and that's after 3 motors and 3 modules, and a visit and troubleshooting with an Engineer from the awning company - Carefree of Colorado! We will spend some more time there in May. Hopeful to get everything wrapped up then. They do treat us very good when we are there. I do think we get a lot more accomplished at the service department then dealing with separate dealerships for warranty issues. Don't hang too long! We are bound to have winter some time!!!!
  2. I heard about it on the news today! wow, someone has Psst Mother Nature off for real! Hurricane Sandy and Earthquakes. From the sounds of it no real damage this time. Watching Sandy unfold....glad I'm in the middle of the country. Everyone on the move be careful out there....so sorry you guys having blow outs and fires! Guess there'll be some pretty good campfire stories this year. Toni...where are you guys now? Headed for Casa?
  3. I have a feeling that Notre Dame's undefeated record is about to come to an end!!! :}
  4. Hope everybody moving from the storm's path, or moving to get clear of freezing white stuff....travels safe!!! Now that we're at home I don't track the weather east and west much....sitting here in the middle of the country....we're dealing with "NO MOISTURE" of any kind, except lots of fog in the mornings and tonight's low 25. It's plenty crisp in the daytime now...one needs a jacket...and I spend a whole lot of time inside....or inside the car...and if it's foggy and yukky.... I just don't go!!! Jeri and Terry I hope your trip is difficulty free from here on out! Everybody take care!
  5. Good that you're moving! Think it's too late to send oars! We mentioned that you do have an instant source of transportation tho.....you have the boat!!!!
  6. Sounds to me like you need a closer tower! 4G really is nice. I'm a spoiled brat.... won't stay anywhere without service anymore. I used to not have good service here, but at least it's 3G now...we got a closer tower. I'd call Verizon and ask when they're getting a new tower or 4 G. At least you'd know then. :}
  7. Unfortunately if the tower in the area isn't 4G you won't have 4G either. It goes back to 3 and some places won't get 4G this year. We are getting 4G an hour from here this week....but we probably won't get it this year at all. Bigger places are getting it first. I doubt if Yuma will even get 4G this year. It really does make a big difference when you have the signal to begin with.
  8. Good thoughts and travel prayers going your way! Our friends left from Jackpot today and will be there at Mesquite tonight too! Have a safe uneventful trip!
  9. So glad you're in the good ole' USA! I have saved my copy of the mag for you! Our other Canadian Friends will cross the border in the morning! Wow.... everybody at once, and now we're in Nebraska..go figure! I wish you'd send that rain this way! We are terribly dry. The desert looks greener than it is out here! :{ Have a great sleep!
  10. So sorry to hear this....our good thoughts and prayers are headed your way! He's in good hands...both yours and the surgeons. We all hope this is the end of it.
  11. Well, at least you're not seeing it in June!!! That's what we did last year, and I saw about all I needed to see, and got a great big dose of heat and humidity! Not for me.... Makes me like Yuma even more in the winter. I can't take that in the summer either! Have fun and keep us posted on how it is!!!
  12. We will be in Yuma til the end of March. Will plan on coming up to Q to visit!
  13. Oh I was so afraid i ran off!!!! We left Yuma on Sunday morning! Sorry bout that. Now we're in Nebraska. I saw the 97 forcast and said "that's enough for me!" I've spent all summer trying to outrun the heat and wasn't thinking I'd stick around and roast in October! Actually we left there early because of some bad news at home and needed to get here quicker. We'll be back out there right before Christmas!
  14. Hello!!!! Glad to meet ya! We are Danny and msKay....more informally "Foofy and Goofy" We are from the class of '08 and travel 10 months of the year, with Sticks n bricks in Nebraska and a lot in Yuma AZ. We are planning for Alaska in '13 but another great thing about our lifestyle is that plans are written in Jello! Hope to meet ya either in Q or out on the road. Only some of us are crazy!
  15. So nice to hear you're having a good time and enjoying the sights (and the cowgirls!) We also enjoyed the day yesterday around Williams and the Grand Canyon. An absolute Stellar Day. The Canyon was clear and I got some good pictures. Enjoyed a great picnic lunch in the park and explored several view areas that we hadn't seen. We paid a visit to Bearizona in the afternoon, and had a few laughs walking through the baby animals. If you get a chance, this place really has improved since our last two years. It is a work in progress and they add three new displays every year. The weather is perfect here....I'm dreading going to Yuma on Tuesday,as it still is very hot, but we need to get our chores wrapped up and head for Nebraska. One of Dans good friends and fellow fireman has been diagnosed with mega bad,inoperable cancer....so we will trek home for a bit of sadness this year too. I love the fact that we're all out enjoying the country as much as we can, as we just never know. He is old enough to retire and well enough off. Just kept plugging one more year... and now he's medically retired. Have fun everybody... it's required!
  16. So sad....thoughts and prayers go out to all these families. Lots of new RVer's in Heaven...where there's always a campfire and never a flat tire! {{{ HUGS }}} to you all....we never know when our last trip will be, so lets drink it all in! They would all want that for us.
  17. hope they get ya fixed up! Just don't stop in Idaho! Dennis Dillons or Cummins in Boise! You will have to blow the dust balls out of your wallet and still not be fixed there! Have a wonderful trip but you may start meeting up with freezing and rain and that "S" word going that far east! It's time to head west and south young man!!!!
  18. Sounds like a lot of us are getting some serious road miles in....I thought going from Montana to Indiana and back to Yuma all within a month's time was crazy! We will head out of C. Springs in the morning and try to make Albequerque by night. We are still on schedule to be in Yuma next Monday. I just wish it was not quite so hot yet. There's snow on Pike's Peak today, so winter is on it's way! Everybody travel safe and have fun with some new and different experiences this year. Looks like IYQ is going up in the air to woo the Cowgirls today!Hope you're all having a great fall week!
  19. Have a wonderful ride tomorrow! We want to hear all about it!!!!
  20. We are set up in Co. Springs for a few days, actually it's Fountain Co. at the KOA....nice place, convenient and familiar. Dan has a golf date....I have a imaging appointment at Penrad... have some shopping to do. Seems weird that my son and family doesn't live out here anymore. We still have a good hunting buddy and our Financial Advisor is here. Thursday we will be on the road again. Not really looking forward to the overly warm temps of the desert, but looking forward to Yuma.
  21. I just got my mail and the Escapees Mag, way to go on the article...nice picture too! Will save my issue for you!
  22. Hi All... After two ten hour days and a four today on the road, we find ourselves camping at the Yuma Colorado Fairgrounds. Not a bad place at all! Due to a Pedal on the Prairie, over 1000 bicylists pedaling today to Wray, tomorrow to Burlington and then Sunday finishing up at Wray...there are no RV spaces at the Wray RV Park this weekend. Tent's too them all! We met all those riders today. Woo.... lots of bikes. Lots of law enforcement. So the new RV park here that I had made reservations at didn't have 50 amp. service, so I called the fairgrounds and the guy that runs this place was great. Got this site lots cheaper too..... I will rest this weekend and do 3 weeks of laundry, after being camped out in the Thor parking lot with limited water. Dan will grant me peace and quiet tomorrow while he goes and participates in a Golf tourney with his oldest brother in Wray. Monday we will mosey on to the big city of Colorado Springs and then after that on South. Fall is definitely in the air!!!
  23. I just went to the class map and it loaded right away.....
  24. thoughts and prayers with you all..... no matter when, it's always hard. Rely on your good memories to get you through.
