  1. Naw, we only had 13.1 inches of snow but the blizzard that brought it in was a mean one. Couldn't even see the rig parked next to us for about 7 hours. The day after, it hit 55 and Sunday it is supposed to be 60+. Wont be any snow by Monday me thinks.
  2. Pulled into Rapid City KOA this afternoon after a 1230 mile run from Texas with stops in Abilene, TX. Oakley, KS where Larry missed out on a free meal cause he was in Hutchinson and next on to Cabela's toy store in Sydney, NE. Abilene, TX was 97 degrees when we were there and Sydney, NE was a rip roaring 24 degrees. Hit snow, rain, sleet and a whole lot of other weather getting here. Fuel prices were #4.09 at Flying J in Abilene and Julesburg, CO. $600.00 got us here fighting the head winds of 25-35 all the way. If you sre still in the south, stay there for another week or so. Got a lot to do tomorrow to get the rally registration on its way. Stay tuned for tomorrow evening (Monday).
  3. Command decision was made and we will be in the Texas hill country in Frederickburg until about March 24 or thereabouts. Looks like Las Vegas will have to do without us for awhile.
  4. Alamo Fiesta in Bourne, TX seems to be real popular. Pulled in about 4 PN today and found the gang waiting for us. Smokey/Pam, Bob/Sharon and Al and Darlene Watson. Of course, dinner out was necessary. Will be here a week while looking around the hill country of TX.
  5. In Burleson, TX just south of Ft. Worth on 35W till Wednesday AM then down to the hill country and check it out. The RV Ranch campground here in Burleson has new sites measuring about 75-80 long and wide enuf for two rigs. Big storm moved thru last nite and this AM. Found leaks around skylites and antenneas I didn't even know I had. Should have a report on the rally by Thursday.
  6. Pulled into Wichita this afternoon and was met by many earlybirds. Gots lot to do in the next few days. For those who arrive from the northern tier states, bring shorts and warm weather gear. Supposed to be 90 tomorrow (Sunday)
  7. Larry: I have the Garmin set to take me through Oakley after Salt Lake City. May be there Friday evening or maybe Saturday. Depends a great deal on weather/traffic.
  8. Will be leaving West Yellowstone 9/16 and head for Salt Lake City for 3 days then on to Wichita. Should be in Wichita no later then the 23rd. Post office box is closed so no more registrations at this date. See you all there.
  9. Bob: Stockton is not too far from Lodi so you can truthfully say that you're "Stuck in Lodi Again" like the ol country song. Gets kinda sorta warm there so we will pass this time of the year.
  10. We are now at West Yellowstone KOA in West Yellowstone, Montana until Sept 15th.
  11. Haven't seen Bob and Becky since last year in Salt Lake City where they were doing the research thingy. Tell them we said howdy.
  12. Dave and Sue: Thought that may have been youse guys. We took a little side trip through the Bridger place there and just took the road where it lead us. Didn't even know there was a KOA there but do now for future reference. Had the mail forwarded today and found a recall notice for Valerie's "V" star so get the pleasure of waiting to get that fixed, probably Monday the 13th.
  13. In Rapid City at Hart Ranch till the morning of the 16th. Then west to West Yellowstone for a gig at the KOA there.
  14. Out of Las Vegas on Sunday morning heading north on I-15 to SLC. Figure a couple of days to get there.
  15. Pulled back into Oasis in Las Vegas until 4/27 then head north for the summer. Kinda sorta looks like West Yellowstone, MT from 5/18 thru Sept 15. More on that later.
  16. Will be at Riverside RV park in Laughlin, NV till 3/20.
  17. At the fairgrounds in Chowchilla, CA for a week at the minumum, possibly a day or two longer. Will have to hide and watch and see what happens after that.
  18. In Sacramento, CA at Cal Expo until 2/20 at least. Maybe longer. Have to hide and watch and see what happens.
  19. In Morro Bay, CA for a week. Left Tucson with the temps in the 70's and 80's and arrived here on the coast with temps in the 60's and forecast of rain for the next week. Can't seem to get warm and stay that way. Been cold since last October.
  20. At Parker, AZ Elks until 2/3 then to Voyager in Tucson til 2/6. Figure on being at Cal Expo in Sacramento for a week starting 2/13.
  21. Bob/Diana: Be looking for ya to show up. Flying J has parking for you and also Pilot at exit 33 will have room also. Don't even think of going to Silverton, they will run you out of the parking lot. Been chased out of there twice in 2 months. If you go to CA this weekend, be advised that there will be 3 hour delays on I-15 at the Cajon Pass. Smokey/Pam: Believe you have our number but you can call Oasis at 702.260.2000/option 3 then dial 3747. Got the phone hooked up this time. Ususally forget about it.
  22. Pulled back into Oasis in Las Vegas today and will be here till 1/30. In the neighborhood?? Stop by.
  23. Out of Las Vegas this morning and in the Lakes RV park in Chowchilla, CA this evening. Little over 400 miles in one day and for us that is a chore when 200 is a long day. Be here for awhile anyway till we find out what is going on with the youngest daughter.
  24. Pulled into Oasis in Las Vegas (again) this afternoon and will be here till January 5 when it looks like we will be headed back to Chowchilla, CA for an indeterminate period of time.
