I pour in some vinegar & let it sit awhile, then continue to use it periodically as a preventative measure.

    Same here.

I just had this problem for the first time.  Poured some vinegar in the bowl and let it set for an hour or more then used a toilet brush to clean the opening as described by Randyretired.  In my case, I had to do it a couple of times, but the bowl is now holding water.

  2. The biggest problem you may have with ordering online is getting it through Canadian customs.  Assuming that it will *make* it through customs, it could take up to two weeks to get, so keep that in mind if you decide to order.

Since you need prescription food, I'd contact Canadian Customs before crossing to make sure they're not going to have a problem with it.  And -- keep the food in it's original bag...don't dump it in a container, even if that's what you usually do.

  3. X2 what 2gypsies said!

I can only add...don't be in a hurry.  While the Alaska Highway is a good 2-lane road (except for the aforementioned areas of construction), it is not a road where you'll be able to do 65 mph or more.  Besides the construction, there will be areas of frost heaves which are like going over speed bumps -- not something you want to do going very fast.  Most of the frost heaves are marked by small flags along the edge of the road, but I wouldn't count on the fact that every single one has been marked.

    now i am confused????????

    where is camp?

just out of town or miles away?

do to days off could not get this week off, but will be there by wed (thursday am latest)  next week. thought just south east of town by a couple miles, but now? it is north east about 15 miles out?

There is no BLM area around Q that is 15 miles out, either free or LTVA.

Here's a map that shows the location of the free BLM areas around Q:

    https://www.rv-camping.org/quartzsiteaz/

The Plomosa Road area is maybe about 5 miles north of the intersection of Main & Central (AZ-95).  Mile Marker 99 is about 5 miles south, maybe a little farther.

The four LTVA areas are located between Mile Marker 99 and and I-10 on both sides of US-95.

There maybe other phone  manufacturers that provide the same service provision, so it's worth a look.  PdaNet is dead.

I think most, if not all, of Verizon's smartphones have this feature.  I know all of mine...mostly Samsung...have had this feature, as does my Verizon Asus tablet.  In fact, it's the only way I get online.

You'd have an awesome time if you parked at Boomerville - the Escapees Birds of a Feather group, the Boomers. ... Turn-by-turn directions to Boomerville:

Just an FYI for anyone headed out to Boomerville:  They've changed locations and will no longer be at the area that 2gypsies gave the directions to.  They will now be off Plomosa Road near the area where the Escapees holds their open house.

  7. One option, too, is for one of you to drive the motorhome and the other drive the car with the kid in the car.  Perhaps not an ideal situation, but certainly doable and safer for the child.

Although we don't travel with children, we do travel separately and have walkie talkies to keep in touch.

I need to know if I would be considered "homeless" (no address),

You have to have an address, even if it's just with a mail forwarding service.  Where are you going to get your mail if you don't have an address?  Insurance companies and banks, for example, are going to insist on an address.  That's true even if you do all your banking online and go the paperless route.

If you get an annual site at some place like Tall Chief, you'll have an address (I'm sure they must have some provision for accepting residents' mail).  Washington State does not accept only a mail forwarding address for such things as driver's licenses...you will need a residential address which you would have if you get an annual place at either an RV park or a mobile home park.

    Thankfully they gave notice.

From everything I'm reading here, it appears they have NOT given notice...too many customers who are just finding out about their closing from discussion forums like this one.

I have a feeling she will NOT be informing her clients directly, and folding up as quietly as possible.

That was my feeling after reading all of these responses.

  10. We used to belong to C2C and RPI.  I don't recall which membership we had, but I'm pretty sure it was the Classic.

When we were fulltimers, we never stayed in any one spot for 2 weeks except during the winter, when we'd land someplace for 3-4 months.  And we never made reservations even 60 days out...we don't plan that far ahead.  The only reason we even made reservations was that it was required, but we'd call just a few days ahead.

If you think you'll want to stay in one place for 2 weeks, and you want to be able to make reservations more than 60 days in advance, then go with the Deluxe membership; otherwise, I'd stick with the Classic.

The service address update on the app pulls my location from my phone.

So, you can't request certain locals?

When we head south for the winter, we change to the Tucson locals once we hit a certain area in Nevada (we can receive Tucson locals as far north as Pioche and as far west as Pahrump).  Going back north in the spring, we change to our home locals once we reach a certain area.  If the app gives you locals only from your current location based on the location from the phone, that would totally screw up our system. ;)

Of course, for us, it's a moot point since we are not fulltimers any longer and have a home account, not a Dish Outdoors account, so wouldn't be able to use the app, anyway.  However, I find using Chat to be quick and easy.

There are cases where it is not only legal but even required that someone have 2 vehicles registered in different states.

Right.  When we were still fulltimers, we kept our fifth wheel on a lot in Arizona year around for a couple of years while we traveled in a truck camper.  Because the fifth wheel remained in Arizona, we licensed it in Arizona.  Our truck and camper were licensed in South Dakota, our state of domicile.

Here's his letter of apology for doing this on 'the spur of the moment'. How old is this guy anyway?

    https://ryan-andersen.org/

But then there's his swapping out of license plates on his truck!  That doesn't sound "spur of the moment" to me.  And, as others have asked, who carries extra license plates with him?  Or were the instructions to the kid to steal plates off another vehicle?  I'd sure like more details about this aspect of the story!

Read the fine print on signing up for the one free year.  It automatically re-enroles you.  But the big kicker is that by signing up, you agree not to sue them in the future.

You will not automatically be re-enrolled.  From the link RV gave in his original post:

"3) Clarification Regarding Automatic Sign-Up to TrustedID Premier
We are not requesting consumers’ credit card information when they sign up for the free credit file monitoring and identity theft protection we are offering to all U.S. consumers. Consumers who sign up for TrustedID Premier will not be automatically enrolled or charged after the conclusion of the complimentary year of TrustedID Premier."

You also will not be waiving your rights:

"5) Adjusted the TrustedID Premier and Clarified Equifax.com
We’ve added an FAQ to our website to confirm that enrolling in the free credit file monitoring and identity theft protection that we are offering as part of this cybersecurity incident does not waive any rights to take legal action. We removed that language from the Terms of Use on the website, www.equifaxsecurity2017.com. The Terms of Use on www.equifax.com do not apply to the TrustedID Premier product being offered to consumers as a result of the cybersecurity incident."
