Did you go ahead and sign up for Escapade? Anyone else sign up yet?

Actually, my computer hard drive bit the dust. I haven't had the "real" one for almost a week. I've been in withdrawal mode. Thank goodness for the little substitutes.

Something has changed. It used to be I'd get an email when a new posting was made on this forum but now it's stopped and I don't. Hmmm. Does that mean I'll have to check back on my own without being prompted?

HAHA That was funny. I guess we could buy him a Santa hat and he could make the rounds! I'm guessing he'll probably say "NO".

I was thinking maybe a Christmas get together or lunch since so many will be in the area the week before. Right now I probably won't be going to the PNW for Christmas. Terry may fly up a day or two before and back the day after. I need someone to transport all the packages we've wrapped and it's cheaper for him to fly up with them than to mail them!!

Right now the plan is to go to Escapade, maybe. I know there were a couple others thinking about it including Freddy. We've not been able to really make too many plans out of this area. Terry's mom has had a few more issues. Plus with Justin's dog, we aren't quite as free as we had been. Justin may be deployed to the Persian Gulf (again) in January. If not, he's talking about flying out to Phoenix for a few days in January. We don't know a thing yet. Let's get together when you get this way over the Christmas holiday ... maybe we can have our own Christmas party!

Boy! Do I ever understand that ! We're kind of in the same boat. However, we do have reservations elsewhere for January but no idea yet for February!

It was nasty in Mesa last night too. There was lots of rain and wind. Ick! Hopefully, that's behind us now and sunny skies are ahead. I really hate it that we can't watch the NFL games we want to. Dish convinced us yesterday to sign up for NFL RedZone to watch the Seahawks. We saw about 10% of the game as it switched back and forth to other games. We cancelled it just about as fast as we signed up for it. Of course, that was probably a game we didn't want to watch anyway.

Well, at least you know your brother is finally speaking to you and has been jealous. You may have more in common in the future now. Maybe you can get someone to check on your father going forward. At least I hope there are options for you.

If Jeff and Tina are rain magnets, they must be around the Mesa area because we got rain overnight !!

Believe me when I say we really, really dread this trip.

Freddy - I have complete confidence that Delcie will keep you in line during your recovery. She's had years and years of experience. I'm sure things will go well and we're looking forward to seeing you in the spring. Keep us posted where you're going to be and when. Good luck on Monday.

They aren't keeping repairs up. Laundry/bathroom smelled like sewer. We won't be back. We're outta here tomorrow.

Maybe you ought to warn the Hills that the Lairds are there! We're on the road again .... tomorrow.

We're not "happy campers" with the Thousand Trails park in Vegas. It's a real mess. The storm damage from 8 months ago is still laying around the pool area. We have 4AM noisy neighbors and we even had to use a shoe horn to get into our spot. We'll probably be out of here in a few days ... have to meet with cousin first and then we're on the road to somewhere .... probably. Weather is supposed to improve. It's been nasty too.

We pulled out of Barstow about 8:00 this morning. I'm betting we passed each other on I-15. We're in Las Vegas now ---- don't know for how long.

Just thought I'd add to that .......... we're currently under beautiful blue skies. The sun was shining yesterday and the temperature was actually warm during the day. However, we did have to turn the furnace on this morning after leaving windows open last night. It'll be another beautiful day as we continue our slow trek south.

We aren't anyplace yet but it sure feels good to see blue skies and sunshine!
