  1. Have all who are posting here been to the Lippert factory in Elkhart and took the informative tour. What we  observed is that a lot of the welding is done by machine no human involved We actually did not have frame flex that is a broken weld or frame on our two Lippert frames. We did have the side wall separation from the aluminum  frame that looks a lot like frame flex .We have seen actual broken lippert frames but do not know what stress caused them. " (I have a Hensley Trailer Saver and morRyde’s Independent Suspension) they will l go a LONG way toward making a trailer frame live a long and healthy life ... a fully articulating head on hitch is a must."  We have all of this. Lippperts does state that t hey build frames to the manufacturers specs.I do not think they would build a frame that did not meet all safety specs. That would be very bad for business. We just state our experience with Lippert and any other manufacturer when posting.

  2. Motorhome /5th wheel  defends on your travel mode .I prefer a MH as IMO they are easier to drive, park, etc as  I drove OTR charter bus for awhile. We have never had a MH as our mode of travel is more geared to a 5th wheel. We have no problem with campgrounds.

Florida requires every permanently placed RV-in an RV park- to have wheels and be licensed annually. Insurance is optional. It's said that wheels law is so other trailers can be pulled away if one catches fire. Virtually all would have to be pulled like a sled. My cousins trailer hasn't had the tires checked in over 20 years, makes the must have wheels law ridiculous IMO.

We are in Florida suggest you see an agent that sells Insurance in Florida . I tried to pull out a RV here that had been sitting for years .I thought it would come apart had to have a tow truck do it. Florida insurance is "different"

  4. When in tow and in travel we look for convivence in fueling such as easy  in , easy out and RV friendly . We primarily use FJ/Pilot with the RV plus card. We are truck and 5th wheel 54 feet long so we need some room to fuel. We have never had a issue with FJ/Pilot and many of them have restaurants  at a fair price. if needed.

  5. We purchased the largest 5th wheel we could afford. It was a new  06 3400 Montana. We now have a 2013 3402 Montana same conditions apply. We decided against full timing but are long timers. We have logged over 150K miles since 2006 but are now slowing down. We now  winter in Florida. We had the usual  issues with the 5th wheel but Keystone treated us fairly while under warranty and we purchased a ESP plan that as worked well for us over the years. We have not had any what we would consider major issues  over the years.

We are now considering a park model or single wide for our Florida property

We also keep ourselves in moderate climates  year round so no problem with to hot or to cold

I've never heard a positive opinion on Keystone.  I guess you're the first.  With those resources, YOU should make a list too.

And why so salty and aggressive, it's just a trailer.

Here  is your first one .I have appositive opinion of Keystone. We  have had two Montana's by Keystone both had some issues that were handled by Keystone  or our dealer  with not a problem.

  7. We do not have a problem with out Norcold double door RV fridg. We did have a cooling unit fail and replaced it with the Quality Amish unit. We had to pay the difference  between the OEM unit and the Amish unit our ESP paid the OEM replacement price.

We are long timers and have never had a issue with thawing while in travel. The fridge is on all the time except for defrosting and cleaning.
