Joe- You need to head south again, the moss may be growing on you soon!!

We are in Leadville, Colorado, the highest incorporated city in the US and it still got in the 80's the other day. Real nice at night. We need to go to Texas to visit the grand kids but it is stormy and hot there. Slowly heading there anyway.

Nope, to dang hot here for any moss to be growing, was 77 here yesterday and supposed to get hotter today.

  2. Hey Steve,

Not a problem, I dispatched a plane from the local base to come down there and pick up all of your Baaaaaaaad Whiskey.  They will bring it back to my place for "Safe Keeping".  That way you won't be able to hurt yourself with it while you are recovering.  You will be able to pick it up when you and Carol next visit the PNW.

Ha Ha Linda, especially a bear with a beer!!

If that bear has a beer, I want some  BAAAAAAAAAAAAAD Whiskey.:D

So how is everyone doing, been kinda dead around this thread for a while.  I'm just plugging along up here in the PNW trying to dodge the rain storms that just seem to be never ending this year.

    Oh HAPPY MOTHERS DAY Ladies.

Joe -  Anymore we fill the tank and run off the pump all the time. Much better pressure.

    Jeff   :)

    Hey Jeff,

That is what I normally do.  I filled the tank with RO water before I left, but didn't check the pump.  So ended up using the campgrounds water, which isn't bad.  Now to get the pump replaced and then will work on the heating unit.  Since no plans to use the MH till July, no big hurry on the heater.

Glad to hear your having fun with your toys.

Thanks Steve.  We appreciate that.  We sure are taken by the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport but we are looking to buy something 4 - 5 years old.  And not white.

What, now that is just wrong.  After all White Cars Matter to.:P

This "Shake Down" outing with the MH just came to an end a day early.  Got woke up about 5am to one heck of a racket.  Quickly tracked it down the the Fan Motor on the front heater.  So am trying to make do with just the back heater till it's late enough to get hooked up and leave.  Trip started out bad though.  As I was setting up I discovered that the Water Pump had died.  Now a furnace, going to end up as an expensive start to the season.:(

Thanks Joe. I'm trying to shake the curse. Haven't had rain for a week. LOL!

    Travel safe everyone.

    Jeff    :)

Hey Jeff, your welcome, always willing to lend a hand.  That said, old man winter just doesn't seem to want to let go up here in the PNW.  We get 1 day of sun followed by 2 or 3 days of rain.  Beginning to get to a whole lot of folks up here.

So we decided to go Camping.  LOL  Sitting in Grandy Creek TT just enjoying being out in the MH for a few days again.

    Travel Safe everyone,

    Joe

  7. Dang, that little vacation to the Oregon Coast ended yesterday.  Now back home and time for reality to set in for a bit.  Need to get the MH packed up as we are heading out for a week at the Grandy Creek TT starting Friday.  Opening weekend for that campground.

On Saturday a couple of the guys in the group and myself will be going to Paccar's Open House.  Always a fun event getting to crawl all through the newest Kenworth's and Peterbilt's.  Should be good for a few pictures to drool over later even.

Had 1 bad time on our trip.  On Thursday we went Beach Combing, saw that there was some really nice wave action going on a little further down the beach so I spent about 45 minutes crawling over big rock formations to get into position for some pictures.  Only problem was the battery in my Camera died after the first shot.  Since I only have 1 battery for the camera, that ended things for the day.  But don't tell Carol I let that happen.

  8. Sounds like everyone back in the mid west and southern mid west is doing ok right now.  Glad you all have weathered the storms.  Sure doesn't seem like a good place to be this time of the year though.  Of course up here in the PNW we have been feeling the effects of the "Jeff Curse" since last October.  That said, today is looking to be one of the days we live for up here, SUNSHINE.  So we'll head down to Newport and visit the Aquarium today before packing our bags to head for home tomorrow.

    You all travel safe,

    Joe

I've seen those t-shirts too.  However, Oregon does have a summer with very little rain. The problem is people don't always visit during the right time of year.  Summer doesn't start until late June or early July in the PNW running usually through the end of September.  I said usually because this year has not been usual anywhere.

Well today is pretty much back to normal here in Depoe Bay.  Not raining, but cloudy and windy, which makes for some really nice wave action on the rocks below our unit.  As for this year, it has been the COLDEST winter in the last 32 years.  and is real close to being the wettest also.  So what the summer will be like is anybody's guess.  As long as I can get the boat out for a few messes of Fresh Dungeness Crab I really don't care.   And besides, EVERYONE knows that it RAINS ALL THE TIME UP HERE.

Blame me for rain but don't blame me for other weather like tornado's, hurricanes, blizzards, etc.    Joe wet, gray, drizzle, and rain has been our experience with the Oregon coast during our 2 visits there. Not sure we ever saw the sun shine while we were on the coast. Stay dry.

    Travel safe everyone.

    Jeff    :)

    Hey Jeff,

Well that's because the sun never shines on the Oregon Coast.  Well except for us folk that live in the PNW, Sun is shining right now and it is BEAUTIFUL out there.  Going to be a really pretty day here today.  I'd post a picture, but everyone would think it was Photo shopped.:D

    LOL!!!

We thought the curse has gone. Haven't seen any rain since last Thursday in Tucson.

That's because you sent it to the Oregon Coast.  We had to spend ALL day inside just watching the rain and the waves as they crashed on the rocks just below our balcony here in Depot Bay today.  I told Sharon that it was Jeff's fault.

  12. Well it sure looks like the new format has done more to kill these forums than anything else ever has.  Postings are way down and these pages have had nothing for several days.  Funny, but I visit another forum that is hosted by the same folks as this one and there hasn't been any changes to it.  Just my .02

  13. Wow, what a nightmare getting the Ice Cream Machine cleaned up and hidden again. But now I know where it's at and can visit it from time to time.

Back home on windy Whidbey Island, just contemplating what kind of mischief I can get into, or stir up, around here now. Since it's not raining RIGHT NOW, I guess Jeff must be back down south with all the rest of you guys.

Been a pretty rough morning, having coffee and all, and it's a bit early for any of that Baaaaaad Whiskey, so guess I'll just have to settle for taking a Stevezzzzzzzzzz

  14.

Joe, if you are crossing over to get your Bad Whiskey supplies, please let us know. We would love to see you. This depressing stuff gets depressing.

    Hey Toni,

Aside from everything else going on for you guys, the weather sure hasn't been helping. I am sure that Jeff is telling Tall Tales about where he has been hiding out lately as it hasn't stopped raining here on the coast since yesterday morning. Oh well we just put on rain gear and took a 2 hour walk on the beach anyway. Sharon found some really nice Agates and I got a few good pictures. Then spent the rest of the day in Sweats here in front of the Fireplace. Sure is going to be hard to leave this morning, but Duty calls back home.

It would be good to meet up, but I no longer go to Canada for my Wine Supplies. A couple of years back the company decided to shut down their Retail Store there on Annicis Island, so I'm stuck with paying the much higher prices down here locally. That said, Sharon and I have talked about going up to check out a couple of places we have heard about. Lee Valley and Nomad Homes. One a Wood Workers Supply store the other a Modular Home Builder that we saw on Extreme Homes. However it is just in the talking stages right now.

  15. Dang it, I thought I had that ice cream machine secured! I'm going to have to retrace my steps and see where I went wrong :o We did manage to sneak into Redlands California without the rain clouds finding out, so we'll see if that holds. Nice and sunny and 72 today so i'll take that to the bank. Steve

HAHAHAHA we figured out the Ice Cream Machine and now it works just fine. Had a big ole bowl of Death by Chocolate out of it yesterday. Since we have to leave here tomorrow though, guess I need to figure out somewhere else to move it to so WE can keep using it from time to time. Now if I could just get it to serve up some of the Baaaaaaad Whiskey.

Jeff was surely up here all day yesterday, Rained far more than not so we just pretty much layed around here in front of the fire place all day.

You all enjoy that warm weather down there and let me know when you want to cool off, I'll send some more rain and snow that way.

    Joe

We are supposed to get in the 40's tonight. We also had heavy rain and hail today , enough to look like snow on the ground. Jeff has an amazing talent in regards to wet weather. Jeff also had healthy beer last night also, looked healthy anyway. I know my beer was healthy.

    Jerry and Janice

Well the weather up here just keeps being unpredictible. We took a drive over to Westport, WA yesterday and only got rained on during the time we wanted to be walking around. -_- About 5 minutes after we gave up on that, and headed back out of town the Sun came out and stayed out the rest of the day. Now the town of Westport really only has one thing going for it,FISHING. Has something like a 600 slip Marina and boasts the largest fishing fleet on the coast. A very slow walk along the downtown area would take maybe 10 minutes.

So it was back to Ocean Shores for a late lunch of Cheese Burger Soup and Potato Bake Bowl. MMMMMMMMMMM

As for the Ice Cream Machine, found out the person that hid it jammed the setting to Licorice Ice Cream. Not bad, but it sure causes some interesting things to happen latter.

Now Jerry, I BELIEVE YOU. Oh and I believe Jeff also. Beer is Healthy, it's that Baaaaaaaad Whiskey though that really helps one out.

On edit, I think Jeff is flying back and forth between the PNW and AZ

  17. I am in Mesa getting my Air conditioner fixed on RV at Gene's RV repair. It is raining on me as I got too close to Jeff, We did enjoy a great meal at the Organ Stop Pizza with the gang in the area. Jeri, Terry, Jim, Sandy, Jeff and Tina. Speaking of ice cream, some of the gang did have a sundae but I am not telling who. haha

Yep, figured Jeff was somewhere nearby. I remember Organ Stop Pizza from an earlier trip to that area. Had a great time there and would return again if ever in the area. No need for air conditioning here right now, but heaters are another story. Coldest winter in 32 years up here. We are planning a day trip to the town of Westport today. Hope it didn't snow to much last night. B)
