  1. I'm sure you guys will have a lot of fun and laughs around the campfires.  Wish I could be there with you, but not in the cards again this year.  Hmmm maybe if I do a rain dance, or 3, you won't be able to light the desert on fire.  Naww that just wouldn't be right.🍸

We are in Yuma, Az for the winter.  Come on over, highs in the 70's this week.

    Jerry and Janice

While it's not quite Yuma, we will be in Tampa area of Florida for Thanksgiving.  Only supposed to be in the low 80's there.🌞

Just returned from 10 days in Hawaii where it was in the mid 80's every day.

  3. I also just had cataract surgery.  Right eye was done long ago and they did it for distance, so when they did the left eye last month I told them to do it for distance also. I do not need glasses to drive, etc now, but I am ordering glasses with progressive lenses so that I don't have to carry readers with me and will continue to wear glasses.  That will help me remember that most of the things I get involved in REQUIRE eye protection.

  4. Hey Guys,

Good to see that some of the group is on the move.  LOL  Hope Sandie is over her cold by now though.  That said, sure don't hear much from the group anymore.  Have been thinking about everyone a bit lately and wondering what everyone is up to.  Also wondered if anyone has heard anything of Denise?  Seems she just dropped off, and out, of everything a while back.

Current plans have me in the Yuma area sometime this winter.  Lots of short trip going on for us but mostly up here in the PNW.

  5. Cancer Free is a GREAT thing.  Really glad to hear that about any and all the members here.

We have been sticking pretty close to home this year.  Just to many projects in the works to get away much.  We did manage a visit to Ft Flagler recently though.  Joined some friends for a BBQ there.  As I was eating I realized I had a picture of someone taken from almost that exact same spot 4 years ago.😃

Current plans have me visiting the Yuma area this winter, most likely in the December timeframe.  Then a bit of time on the Oregon Coast for some Storm Watching, followed by more projects here at the Homestead.

I'm thinking you mean us?  We'll be there sometime -- maybe end of May or maybe June.  We have big remodeling projects to do on our place.  So, if you're heading down, bring a hammer and your credit card!  :)

Yep, you be the one's I was referring to.  As for the Hammer part, not a problem.  Credit Card is already getting hit with my remodeling project here.  But I do hope to get down that way sometime this year.  Might not be until September though.

4 hours and 54 minutes but you could alter your route a bit and come only a little way out of your way.

Wow, that's a bit of a drive.  Not sure yet when the trip up that way will be, could be during the winter though and that's a stretch in the snow they get up that way.

    Enjoy your new place though.

  8. Thanks, as for the picture it was pure luck.  Saw the first jump but couldn't get the camera up in time, on the second jump I waited to long and just got the splash, but the third time was charm.  According to the Ranger at the Whale Watch Center there in Depoe Bay, these big boys jump 3 times then seem to disappear.

Toni, how far from Lac LaHache is Naramata?

Teri, are you guys going to be at your place in S. WA this summer?

Long range plans, written in the sand, are for me to be in the Yuma area in December this year.

  9. Wow, seems like lots going on with everyone.  Linda entering the Construction Trades, Tina and Jeff about to move into their new house, Steve and Carol getting a new place, and Toni and Doug talking about setting up a new home base.  And that doesn't begin to cover the rest of the group traveling all over God's Creation.

As for me, I'm still parked up here in the PNW.  We have made a couple of trips to the Oregon Coast in the last month or so, but stayed in Condo's.  My poor MH is probably stuck to the ground by now as it hasn't moved in the last 8 months.  And now it's time for this boy to go back to work for a while.

I will share this picture I got while on our last trip down to depot Bay, OR.

  10. That is great.  Well we have been getting lots of rain here on the coast, not sure how much has made it to the area of the fires though.

I do go through Alturas, a bit longer route, but much easier to travel on.

We have located a couple more really good places to eat out here in the general Seaside area.  Checking out another one tomorrow.  Probably a good thing we are heading back home on Friday or I would need to start thinking about getting some bigger britches.  LOL

  11. I sure hope that Jeri and Terry got out of the PNW before this batch of storms moved in.  Trying to sleep last night was almost as bad as it was back in 09 when we were in Mexico Beach.  Difference was that back then it was steady all night long, here it was different showers about 30 minutes apart all night long.  Almost has to be some flooding around the Seaside area today.

Oh well, we are warm and dry, so let the weather do what it wants to do.  The PNW sure needs the moisture.  That said, we are going to head into Astoria today and visit the Maritime Museum again.

    Travel Safe,

  12. Hmmm I've only owned my Tiffin since 2010.  While I like my coach, should I trade it off I will not replace it with another Tiffin product.  Oh, and it hasn't yet made the trip to Red Bay.  I have found far more competent folks, in my opinion, to work on it much closer to home.

Way to go, now just keep that coach headed south.  We are in Beaumont, Texas visiting our grandsons.  In the high 90's and very humid.  Come on down and see how the part of the country lives.  We are leaving for our place in Tennessee soon. Little cooler there.

That is a really good idea, but the coach is not here.  We are doing the Timeshare Condo thing.  Hmmm 90's and humid doesn't really sound that good.  It did get warm here yesterday though, got up to 73?
