  1. I have a 2000 Suncruser with a backup camera. I would like to be able to turn it on while the engine is not running and also not have to turn on ignition. I would like to quietly see what's going on out back without having anyone back there know I am peeping.
  2. Any suggestions or tips to getting safe spot to park loaded car downtown on a weekday?
  3. I use to run ham gear and understand horizontal or veridical but not two 45's!
  4. I have a Weboost directional antenna. I have noticed another rig with two of these antennas on it, one was horizonal and one vertical. Is horizonal a thing?? Im asking because I have dropped mine down in the wind yesterday and left it on, and it seemed to still function and maybe even better signal! Just a fluke or is horizonal a thing?
  5. Thank for the info, I will tell you two stories I have about Commins service shops sometime when we are setting around an open fire.
  6. I'm thinking, I would like to find someone that would do this work for me here in south Texas. Maybe someone would recommend someone?
  7. So, for a simple boy we are suggesting that on my Owen/Owan my trouble lies in wether the throttle is fast or slow?
  8. My 22-year-old Owen 5000 Generator is producing 140 Volts of power when at an idle. Once I turn on my heat pump with both compressors on the voltage drops to 110 volts. If I turn off one compressor it will show me in the neighborhood of 120 volts. First questions: If I can keep it under proper load is all well and good? Second question: How do I cure the problem?
  9. Ok thank you one an all for your suggestions and tips! It turns out it was the ATS, and I have it fixed....
  10. Picking your brain! If 140 is too high on generator line at the ATS will that mean the switch will not jump? Does that mean I should look over the generator first? What exactly would cause the generator to produce too high of a reading?
  11. I have ordered the box so it will be a couple weeks before I get it.
  12. O man Dallas is too cold for my old rig and my bones! But we are at Summerville Lake area for the Holidays. After January 4 we will be headed down around Victoria.
  13. I need someone to blame here! If you were in Texas maybe I can get your help?
  14. My hope was to find someone that might give me an idea of what I would need and where I can find it? Example! Excel RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Electric Ignition - Vent Free - 38,000 Btu Excel RV Water Heaters EX93FR (etrailer.com)
  15. So is changing this box out the consensus of this group with the information I have provided?
  16. Hot water heater is failing. Does anyone have any experience with on demand electric and propane water heater. Will a unit for 2 or 3 hundred work for two of us? Has anyone installed this on there own?
  17. Parallax Power Supply (ATS501 120/240 Volt 50 Amp Transfer Switch | Generator Transfer Switches So this is it right? PS: The meter reading I get from the generator is 140??
  18. Ok I checked the ATS with a tester. I seem to have elect between the house and the pedestal, no elect on the third wire. When I turn off the pedestal and start the generator, I have electric on the third wire but not on the house. So, I am guessing you guys are right my six-year-old ATS is not work! Next problem my ATS doesn't look like the ones I see on Utube! My question now is this the right ATS for my 50amp house, it looks pretty light weight to me, and it has more wires than the Utube ones I have looked at. And before you ask I think I am seeing 120 between white to red and black. And 240 between red and black. !
  19. I have a meter and plan to get to work on this project as soon as I get figure out how to replace my check valve on the city water. It's not easy being me.
  20. I have not yet set to work learning how to read the test meter, so I am still doing the armchair guessing. I have a 22-year-old generator that I have been told the rear bearing is chirping and also been told that its quite expansive and might be impossible to change this bearing. So run it till it stops has been my advice! With that in mind I now have the possibility that if it is the generator then will I buy new boards and other electrical parts for a failing generator? Then with that bit of history in this project I replaced the ATS six years ago. So where would you put your money on what is most likely the Culpert?
  21. I'm looking for a rebuilt or to even rebuild the one I have! Any suggestions or links would be appreciated.
