  1. Came with my We boost, has brackets and a base. I have never used it. Make me an offer. PPS: I'm not sure how tall it is.
  2. I'm still looking for this exact generator if somebody spots one!
  3. how to find the rafters on my 2000 itasca suncruser RV to mount my solar panels
  4. Thank you. And yes, assuming I have installed all things with right wire and fuses, the MPPT will stop the solar from charging too much and the house Transfer switch and inverter/charger will stop the generator from charging the battery's too much and the alternator has a gizmo to stop it from over charging the batteries. So once all is in place it will all take care of itself!
  5. I might ask this questions. With solar panels and a simple mppt controller can I simply hook to my batteries and then start my rig or generator and the controller will not allow feed back on my solar system? if the answer is no then can you show me the switch I need so I can ?
  6. Great suggestions, Thank you Follow up. I found David & Son's Truck Repair Brawley, CA. Great work and good prices.
  7. I have an opportunity to buy a 6.5 emerald, looks like it will fit in the space. Would this bigger generator work with my present system without having to change other components? Inverter or transfer switch...
  8. I would simply like a solar system that can charge the house butterises all the time. Plug and play. If I turn on the generator, start the engine or I get on shore power, it does whatever it needs to do to with no attention on my part.
  9. Solar is a hobby to some, a religious experience to others, and to a minority it is a way to make electricity. Now that is funny!
  10. I read a lot about how simple solar is. I understand it can be as simple as solar panel on roof wire to charge controller and connect to batteries! I know about shunts, connecter blocks, fuses and all the other stuff to make it safe. But my questions is? Can it be as simple as the first line of my statement? If I hook up a panel and a charge controller to my batteries will the rest of my system still work as usual or will the solar need something like a Transfer Switch? *
  11. Thanks Guys, it turned out to be a miss placed fuse under the dash! I have no clue but it's working now....
  12. Thanks for the tips. I will get to work on this and keep you posted.
  13. I have a 2000 Suncruser. I have a low beam light not working but the high beams all work! I tried to replace the low beam light, but it also will not come on. Is there a fuse?
  14. Thanks for the advice, Guys, I came up here from The Red Cliffs on 14 and with a 25 mile per hour head wind it seemed to be all up hill. So, I'm hoping to be going downhill and wind at my back for a hundred miles. Thanks again and Safe Travels.
  15. Ok! I have taken your advice and taken the Tehachapi Pass, now I am at Lone Pine and wish to go to Las Vigus Area. Should I go through Death Valley or go back to 58 and 15 to get there. I'm interested in any experienced from someone that has taken both routes?
  16. Ok Thanks for the enlightenment. This is information I can use. Thank you. And I don't like mountain roads as a matter of fact. I'll have to look again at Flattest Route.
  17. My Flattest Route seems to favor 178 for grades?
  18. Bakersfield to Lone Pine? Hwy 178 or Hwy 58 and Hwy 14 to 195?
  19. I am starting to get a feel for my issue with all your comments and suggestions. My rig does charge the batteries at 14 volts, so my problem after years of traveling in this unit has only become an issue for me when off the grid for a week or so. I do use a 1000-watt generator and plug the rig directly to it to charge our toys and was hoping it would keep my house batteries up. But you're never too old to learn. So, my cheap fix will be to only boondock for three or four days at a time. I'm old, my rig is old, so I am not inclined to spend the money to fix what for the most part is not broke. Thanks for all your impute.
