  1. Good to read your note, Lee... we are still planning to arrive on Monday. Will do the boondock thing there, also... won't need hookups. So, get to feeling better and we'll see you in a few days.

Tom and Diane: I'll still be here when you arrive. The Low's are having a Rally starting the 27th of March. Normally they close to the general public during the week of the rally. You should be ok on the 18th though but we are filling fast. There were several spaces left tonight when I came back from dinner. My trailer is in the Boonedock area right behind the dump station along the border of the maze. Bring lots of juice stories about the rest of the gang to talk about. Deming is a little short on GOOD restaurants but I'm sure we can find one that will do.

I've been feeling a little down the past couple of days. That congestion problem has rared it's ugly head again but it seem to be going away. I sure hope so. I don't do much but sleep when I have that bothering me.

  2. Hi Freddy & Delcie... glad you made it safely to The Ranch. We envy you visits with Diane and Glyn... we so enjoyed a short visit with them at the fairgrounds in Tucson, but won't make it to Roswell before they leave the Ranch. We will be in Roswell a couple of weeks... dentist, pet vacs, accountant, etc. And, finally getting the tow package on my Trailblazer so we can tow it behind the motorhome!

We are certainly looking forward to seeing you both in Colorado this summer! You may remember that we mentioned having a son and his family living across the lake from where you host. Expect to be there around the first of June... will be in touch and have some visits!

We are leaving Benson on Monday... hope to see Lee in Deming, and make a few stops along the way, before arriving in Roswell around March 23rd. After a couple of days at Bitter Lake Refuge, we will be at the Elk's Lodge for a couple of weeks... nice place. Let us know if we might see you in the area.

Best wishes... travel safely! Dianne & Tom

We made it to the Ranch yesterday, arrived late but they let us in. We sure enjoyed our week at Deming, Had two meals and good visits with Lee. Will stay here a week or so, Plan to spend some time with Glyn and Di while here. We think this is the friendly's park in the system and enjoy our time here.

    LIFE IS GOOD!!!!

    Freddy and Delcie

  3. Hey Lee... we have decided to leave Benson on Monday, March 18th, and will come to Deming if you will still be there. Might we stay the night at the park you are at? LowHi, right? We've been there before... are there empty spaces? I'm sure you can recommend a restaurant and we could have dinner together and catch up a bit. So, let us know and we will look forward to seeing you next Monday! T & D

I got my brakes readjusted this morning so I'm ready to pull out anytime I want. Tom and Diane said they may be coming here on the 20th. If I knew for sure I'd pay enough rent tomorrow to make sure I was still here when they get here. I've changed my mind about going to City of Rocks SP. But I may go to Poncho Villa SP instead but that is not important. I can stay here as long as I want to. Tom and Diane fill me in as to your schedule so I can adjust mine accordingly.

I took a cowgirl to Dinner tonight and had a Fillet Mignon that was so dender I ate it using just my fork. Delicious.

  4. So sorry to hear you have a family tragedy to deal with... will keep good thoughts for you. Travel safely!

well next week we leave las vegas !!!!! BUT WE HEADING EAST ?? we have a family emeergency and we have to get to myrtle beach sc as fast as nellie bell can be pushed.. bad ending maybe for a long winter.. brother in icu , may be put on life support next week.

so not looking forward to this long haul.

    we will keep in touch

    mike and deb

  5. I/we love to read your stories, Lee! If you are still in the Deming/City of Rocks area around March 20th, we'd love to catch up with you... NO pizza! Keep on having fun!

I met with Freddy and Delcie for dinner tonight. Boy did we have a long talk. It's a wonder they didn't throw us out of the restaurant. I sure like those folks. But all your ears should be ringing at about 100 db.

The weather hasn't been the best today. 25 to 30 mph winds and a pretty good rain storm. The rain kept the wind from blowing dust so that suited me just fine. The gang from the ranch went to a pizza place about 10 miles out of town. I am sure glad I went elsewhere with Freddy and Delcie. I don't think my stomach could stand any more pizza this month. I've already been out there 3 times with the cowgirls. Sunday the gang is planning to go to Hatch, NM for BBQ and music. At the card game last night I mentioned that I might go to Hatch Sunday also but if I do I'll drive because I don't want to stay all afternoon. Immediately I had 5 cowgirls ask if they could ride with me. Well lets see I can put one in the passenger seat and two on the jump seats, one might ride on the hood as a hood orniment but where could I put the fifth one. May she could drive and I could stay home and enjoy the peace and quiet. Hummm. I don't even know if I'm going or not yet. I think my reputation for picking up the tab is getting to be too well known here. Naw, I know it's my good looks. LOL

  6. Well, hello all... seems time for us to jump in on the Denver discussion. Appears the Denver area is a happening place for many in April and May. As some of you already know, we are planning to be in that area, also, from mid-April to mid-May. Kids in Ft. Collins and Cheyenne,WY... a gem & mineral show in Denver 4/29-21 (like Tom needs more weight/rocks in our rig?). Anyway, will be fun to get together with those of you who are also there! Let's stay connected! We are having a ball here in Benson with Nancy & Dave, Lynn & Roger... now, just last night, new friends from Boot Camp have arrived. And to think, we wondered what life would be like out here on the road [alone] fulltiming! You Q people gave us a great start, and all the connections since have been amazing! Many blessings!

  7. Wind started here about 10 am and lasted until dark 30. Nice this morning. (26 deg.) We are heading to "The Ranch" today. It will take two days to get there. We are in Naco, Az. Good Dentist on the other side of the fence.

We will stay tonight in Las Crusis, NM. then to (our winter home).

I know D has been posting, but I will chip in and say "Great to meet everone at Q".

    Safe travels

See you next year, if not sooner

    Glyn

And, we SO enjoyed our time with you both at the fairgrounds in Tucson! Thanks for taking the recliner from us... hope it is working out for you... and we love the tv trays! Sorry you will be gone from The Ranch by the time we get to Roswell, but sure look forward to more visits down the road! Be safe, and we wish you great adventures! Dianne (Tom, too)

  8. Thanks for the update on your weather at North Ranch. Here at the fairgrounds in Tuscon Tom and Dianne got an early start out before the bad weather hit here. Started out this morning at 48 and now down to 35. Glyn, of course, had someone to meet at the TTT ten miles closer to town so I hope he is enjoying being stuck at the truck stop with all the other drivers. At one o'clock now just snow falling, oohhh, ahhhh how pretty. I left Alaska to get out of this stuff. Well at least I won't have to shovel this as Ranger reminds me it will be gone soon. Right? Hope everyone else is safe and warm until this is over around here. Diane

Hey... just sent you an e-mail and see your post. Sorry we missed you this morning, but sure enjoyed time with you both, and Lois & Bill, at the fairgrounds. Yes, snowing like crazy here in Benson, and just started about 1:00. Now, 30 minutes later, the ground is covered... and it's "real snow" and sticking! Once the weather clears a bit we are looking forward to our time at Saguaro SKP Park... Nancy and Dave here, and Lynn and Roger, also. Should be some fun gatherings! Best wishes to all! Stay safe, everyone! Dianne & Tom
  9. No... we won't hide! Will be fun to see you both again... we are out back in the dry camping area, and only one other rig here. So, be careful on the road and we'll look forward to seeing you Monday! D & T

Tom and Dianne, Glyn and I leave Q on Monday headed to the fairgrounds too. Then Costco for a fill up. This gives you plenty of notice so you can hide before we get there. LOL. we'll look you up when we get settled. Have you found a place for everything yet? See you soon D and Pa too.

  10. We are thinking that WE need to park next to Toni and Doug! They had us to supper one night in Quartzsite, so we know she is a good cook... but, such a deal! I would be happy to buy the ingredients and make a similar arrangement. Toni... this may be a good way to suppliment your income :) You are one smart cookie, Linda! Enjoy!

I'm at Craggy Wash north of Lake Havasu City parked next to Doug & Toni. We've been making deals. I buy ingredients and Toni cooks. Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, carrots, and ice cream the first night. Ribs with hand cut French fries and pumpkin pie the second night. Lasagna with Caesar salad and carrot cake tonight. And I get to take home some of the leftovers! I keep walking around singing, "Heaven, I'm in Heaven."

    Linda

  11. Hi... we miss you both! And, hope that we will connect before long... moved to the Pima County Fairgrounds today for a week, and then on to Benson to stay put for awhile. Sounds like you have had some nice visits , and hope the computer thing worked out. Take care, and look us up when you can, please! D & T

We seem to be stuck in Q - and that is all Good - Well - sort of :

Mike ordered a computer and when it arrived it did not work - so now we are waiting on a replacement. Then I planned a trip to Florida using air miles - by the time I arranged the eye Dr appt for Mike === the price of tickets for flying went up $200 each plus all our miles- Good thing we plan in jello - now we will hang in Arizona til April then onto Denver- and will fly to Florida for Mike's eye surgery from there.

Pa and Di showed up after the boot camp which of course leads to more campfires, food and stories!!!

Plus we drove to Yuma and saw Freddie and Dulcie - fun time in Mexico and at the casino!!

  12. Light rain most of the afternoon today at Gilbert Ray Campground near Tucson. Fun to have Lynn and Roger arrive here and we so enjoyed having them for supper and good visits. Then, they had to walk home in the snow! Yes, I said snow! But, the sun is to return tomorrow and nothing but clear blue skies in our future... yippee! All is well... we are blessed!

  13. Greetings Q friends... we are now at Gilbert Ray County Park near Tucson for a few days. Expect to be in the Tucson/Benson area for awhile. Just a week since we began traveling with the new MH... will take us awhile to get organized and familiar with this rig, but we like it. Boot Camp was great at North Ranch, and fun time with Deb & Mike, Diane & Glyn... you all were right about how great it is to come across people you know! Did the "Smart Weigh" and found we were heavy on one side, so did a little redistributing to even our load. It was great to get lots of tips and information. So, thanks again to all of you for helping to make our first experience at Q a positive one! We love being part of this "Classless Class" and look forward to seeing each of you down the road. Stay in touch!

  14. So great to be with some of our Classless Class again after a week parked on asphalt at the rv dealership. We are happy to have spent this evening with those here at Plamosa Road, and send best wishes to those of you we spent time with at La Posa South... such a warm, welcoming bunch of people and we look forward to many future visits! Tomorrow we head for North Ranch to attend Boot Camp... much to learn about our new rig and we are truly happy campers!

  15. Sounds great. And, THANK YOU ALL for making us "newbies" so welcome in this group! We have had a wonderful time, enjoyed each of you, and look forward to reconnecting down the road! We feel very blessed!

Sitting around the campfire last night here in Q, a discussion was had about the fact that our group is no longer the Classes of 2008 and 2009. We now have members from 2010, 2011, and 2012.

A couple of the folks from the Class of 2012 commented that they had felt hesitant to post on the Class of 2008/2009 thread because they felt like they were intruding. Because of that we decided to start a new thread - The Class-less Class. Double meaning intended for some of the group - and you know who you are!!

This year we have 20 rigs parked out here in the desert and a lot of knowledge and stories have been swapped around the campfires. We want to continue that camaraderie in the future with the Class of 2013 and beyond.

Please let me know what you think of this idea. How about the name of the thread? Any input is greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the new thread.

  16. OK... lots of you have given us good advice and instructions, so I am trying this now. Thanks for making us so welcome in your group... lots of good people and fun times! We are happy to be hanging out with you all!

Time to head out for the campfire and talk about everybody who isn't here.
