  1. What political post please?

  2. It was rocking here last night too. Really upset Jin. He wouldn't settle at all.
  3. You have a point. Anytime visibility is below what yor confortable with you should wait it out.
  4. A few years ago I was caught in a blizzard in the high desert. An 80 mile drive from Yucca to Desert Center to Palm Springs in snow and ice. I guess you Easterners would take in stride. Even with chains and AWD it was kind of scary. In my life I can only remember driving in that weather a few times. Mostly in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mtns and hi-desert. It's all relative to what your used to. Flip the coin, try driving when it's 120* and there's a major sandstorm on the other side of the windshield with visibility close to zero.
  5. Ya gotta remember these people never see snow. 350 days of sunshine a year. That was a once in 30 year snow in Phoenix. I've lived in the desert all my life and seen it snow before. Guess what? I think we're going to see more snow in the desert valleys in future years to come.
  6. To brighten your day. If it can be said to happen on such a beautiful stormy day. Sitting at North Ranch the much vaunted and forecast storm came through, A mixture of rain then snow coming down quite heavy at times. A rare event indeed at our elevation. This has been very enjoyable even it it is cold. Storm will be here all day and tomorrow back to the same old 350 days of sunshine every year. In the meantime should imusic is good, classical or Pink Floyd?
  7. That was interesting. Deleted double post that got in..
  8. This seems to be a bad week for everyone. I ran into a access problems with Jin and rumours abound. People don't get it either, he's not just a dog I drag around because I like to have my dog with me. Got the flu like a lot of us and and now it's going to dump freezing rain and maybe snow on us tomorrow. If your near Yuma you're going to get nailed they say. At least some Escapees were able to lead me in the right direction to fix my netbook computer. Thanks. Ain't life a joy.
  9. Well they are expecting snow in AZ as low as 2500ft, North Ranch, and freezing weather in Yiuma. Grab you're coats it's going to get cold again.
  10. I;m sick wityh whatever crud is around. Joints hurt can't move well. This is not the life of an RVer. Go out and have some fun. Avoid getting sick.
  11. Sorry that happened Freddy. While there's not a lot you can do about it the frustration of it happening is enough.
  12. I should track you guys on a Google map. I'm still not ready for boondocking. No genset and while I don't watch a lot of TV gotta have my Pink Floyd.
  13. that was neat. A couple of class-less people came up to us and said high at the bootcamp. Neat stuff. Very proud of Jin for his behavior in 3 days of instruction. This is not the usual type of thing I take him too. Of course thanks to all the people who wanted to pet him but resisted. I can see them putting their hands in theie pockets metaphorically.
  14. So it all starts tomorrow. Jin and I are in space 8 by the clubhouse. I'm not sure what to expect and am excited about meeting you guys.
  15. By the time we all reach this age most of us should be able to tell some interesting tall tales. That is everyone except me, guides are expected to tell taller tales and they have to be true.
  16. Standing around this afternoon with Glyn the driving instructor a jeep sometinh g or toher with a shell pulls up, guy leans out and says "I know you, your Ranger and Jin" as he points to the dog sitting in the car. I should point out I am not Ranger and Jin. I'm Ranger and he's Jin. *exits mumbling* 40 years those dogs have been my partners and now I'm sidekick to the dog.
  17. Long shower? You mean a Hollywod shower? Ain't no such thing... it's a myth.
  18. OK since I'm cloas of 2012 I guess I fit in somewhere. Besides it's how I keep in touch with Jim and Sandie. Arrived back at North Ranch this afternoon. I have an equalizer hitch on and it helped.. Should really see if I can find someone who knows how to set one up. Also is the rain I discovered leaks. The warranty list on this rig nos now very long. Going to brew some old fashioned trouble for both the dealer and manufacturer for the floods from above and below. I can understand a short pick up list but not one as long as this one is.
  19. @ Jim and Sandie are you guys going to be there through the end of February?
  20. I've used Kaspersky for years. Never had a problem with it. The advantage I find in Kas is it uses far fewer system resources than the others. I also have Kas in the server.
