  2. Dave - What is the color and which engine? Is it the Eco-Boost V6? I'll still offer to babysit the Jeep. LOL! Back in Colorado. Jeff
  3. Toni, there might be a limit on how much you can bring over the border. We aren't big wine drinkers either but......... Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  4. Have a good time on the cruise. Tina isn't sure about taking the long drive to Alaska but a cruise sounds good to her. We should see a lot of wineries this summer traveling in the west. It will give us another excuse to stop. I think it would be a good time. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  5. Maybe you would let me keep the Rubicon exercised while you are cruisin' in the new ride. LOL! Jeff
  6. I wish the others would join in. Maybe they are sitting in one spot too long. Even sitting in one place there has to be something going on but I think a lot goes on Facebook and not here. Jeff
  7. [quote name="Steved44" post="845666" timestamp Does it have a locking steering wheel? Why would you ask? LOL! Hey Dave I have A "classic" Wrangler I might trade for the Jeep you are going to leave behind? Jeff
  8. We moved to Prescott Valley, Az. from Tempe, Az. A hundred mile drive but quite the change in temperature. I actually ran the furnace to take the chill off. It was about 50 degrees in the RV. First time in along time we've run a heater. What a change from Tempe. Here for a few days then on to the Grand Canyon for a couple. Hope everyone's broken hands heal soon so we can get some posts on here again. LOL. Be safe everyone. Jeff
  9. Glad to hear that you are on the move again and the great report from the doctor too. Be safe everyone. Jeff
  10. Sorry to hear that your Niece and Nephew stressed you out so much. You are still able to make your own decisions. Also you give us a good reason to stop in Deming. Have a safe and stress free trip to Rapid City if you have to go. Be safe everyone. Tina and Jeff
  11. I can get it to rain where ever we go. I washed the Jeep yesterday and it rained here in Phoenix last night after the dust blew in. LOL It wasn't that much rain just enough to mess with the wash job. We met Jim and Sandie for lunch today. Great to see them again and lot of good conversation. Be safe everyone. Jeff
  12. If the Granddaughter wasn't graduating high school next week we wouldn't be here, My outdoor thermometer is showing 103.6 in the shade. Weather channel says 101. The rear AC is making funny noises trying to cool things down. But it's a dry heat thank goodness. LOL! Jeff
  13. Our last day in Yuma and it's suppose to be 102 degrees. Tomorrow moving to Tempe for 2 weeks and it's a little hotter there. Had a good week here. Both of us had good check ups at the dentist in Algodones and Tina got glasses there too. We've washed and waxed the rv and rode our bikes and made a daily visit to the dog park with Cali. Wow can that dog run. Also had to eat a In-N-Out burger yesterday for lunch. Lee you sound pretty good and like Lee said " Keep up the good med reports". Be safe everyone. Jeff
  14. I was wondering if everyone had broken fingers or something. Unbelievably quiet. Happy Mothers Day! We are in Yuma and it's pretty empty. There are 118 spaces where we are and there probably a half dozen of us here including the host. Lots of elbow room. LOL. Going to Los Algodones today and getting a new slide topper awning tomorrow. That's great news about Diane and Roger we've had enough rain. If you want more rain come hang with us. We had 2 cloudy days in Lajitas, Tx and a few sprinkles. Driving over here to Yuma we went through a couple of rain showers in the desert. Can't seem to get away from rain and wind. I haven't washed my RV in months. Be safe everyone. Jeff
  15. Not sure if it's the heat or because we just arrived in Arizona. LOL We had a very good day with Tom and Dianne then dinner at their house with Dave and Nancy last night. It's so good to see them again. We'll probably see each other later as we head toward Colorado. Glad you are doing better Lee. Get your strength back soon. Be safe everyone. Tina and Jeff
  16. How you doing Lee? Monday morning we drove to a repair shop in Sierra Vista, Az. The brake pedal has gotten soft. The rear brakes were in awful shape. They replaced rotors, calipers, pads and oil seals. Left the shop after 7 pm to drive to Tucson. When we arrived in Tucson we discover one of the oil seals was bad and leaking all over the right inside tire. I called the repair shop and sent pictures. They hired a mobile service to come to the rv park and fixed it. We were 90 miles from the repair shop. We hope it's fixed and won't know until we leave on Friday. We saw Dave and Nancy today in the rv park and going to Tom and Dianne's tomorrow. Be safe everyone. Jeff
  17. Tina and I have stopped in Deming over night to see Lee. He is looking and sounding real good. Says he hasn't had a seizure for a week. His niece and nephew left yesterday morning to get things taken care of on the Navion in Iowa and South Dakota. We went to dinner at the Adobe Deli. It's quite a place in the middle of nowhere. He says they will all head for Charleston, SC in the middle of May and he'll go to assisted living there. It's been very windy (mostly a head wind) driving the last 2 days and it looks like the wind is suppose to blow into the weekend. Moving on to Douglas, Az. today. Be safe everyone. Jeff
  18. I heard there were earthquakes near you also yesterday. Hang on y'all.
  19. We drove up to Van Horn, Tx. from Lajitas, tx. O my was it windy. Between Marfa and Van Horn we slowed 3 times to let dust devils/ storms blow across the highway. Weather guy say tomorrow will be better. I was hoping the third time would be the charm with the old Jeep in the Big Bend area. We drove from Lajitas to the westside of the National and over to Presidio through the State park. Last night drove over to the Starlight Theatre in Terlingua for dinner. This morning go to start the Jeep to hookup the tow bar and the battery is dead. Only needed to move it a foot or so to hookup so we just rolled it. Bought a new battery in Alpine. That's the last trip to the Big Bend area for the old Jeep. 3 strikes and you're out. LOL. Not only travel safe but be safe everyone. Jeff
  20. The plastic coating on the coaxial cable for my over the air antenna started flaking off. Rain got inside down in Miami and shorted out the connection going into the rv.. We had to reroute new cable from inside at the switch box out to the antenna and a new cable to the antenna. Had to replace the new cable to the antenna in Canton, Tx. a few weeks ago when over the air reception went bad again. Now I've put split loom tubing over all the coaxial cable to the OTA antenna and satellite dome to protect it from the sun. Got to have my television. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  21. Glad to see you post again. Sounds like you are getting better except for allergies. Can you post where you are? We are in Marathon, Tx. We have been to the Big Bend area 2 other times and our Jeep has broken down both times. This time (third time is the charm) we hope to explore the Chisos Mountains and the State Park before heading farther west. Silly things - Yesterday went across a railroad crossing on US 90. It was so rough that my convex mirror on the drivers side popped out. It was hanging on by the heater wires. Before I could get stopped it fell of and broke. Bummer. The other day I pulled out a drawer and discovered a heat vent hose torn apart. Well our furnace had quit working a month or so ago. So I duct taped it back together. For the heck of it I tried the furnace this morning and it works. Idon't know if it was the rough railroad track or fixing the vent hose but I am happy. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  22. Phoenix mid May then Loveland, Colorado on July 4th. Our late summer plan is to see the Pacific Coast from North to South. We did South to North in early summer of 2012. Too gray and drizzly. Don't know if we'll be in Phoenix for Christmas yet. Lots of places we haven't stayed in the Southwest. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  23. Any news from Lee? Our plans are to be in the southwest for the winter. Also will go to Porto Penasco, Mexico for a week in Feb. We've wanted to spend some time in Borrego Springs. We liked American Girl Mine Rd. west of Yuma. I think 2 Class-less couples are going to be in Casa Grande from mid Oct. through mid Jan. We can't get a way from rain. Gees. Rain for the next week. Everywhere we go big rain. Plan to leave San Antonio area Monday after a visit to the generator shop. Hope to start drying out soon. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  24. Yesterday morning I took the motorhome to be inspected. 24 mile round trip. I just assumed that my inspection from last April was good for a year. I was wrong. My wife had taken care of the registration last October. The person at the inspection place didn't know about self certifying while out of state. They said it was pointless for me to have it inspected because the inspection was good for 90 days. They even suggested to try to change my registration month. After phone calls to Polk county and they could not tell me how to handle it. They gave me a number that was someone in Harris county. My wife found the information online about self certifying and inspection when you get back in the state. Later in the afternoon I returned to the inspection place and got it taken care of. Even then the person asked it I was going to retitle the motorhome. I said no. It was because I had self certified last October out of state. Another 24 mile round trip to get it done. So be careful the inspection place may not know the rules. Jeff
