Is yours going to be anything like Porter's Party Place? I think they have to run away from home to get any peace and quiet.
Linda
LOL!
We love having company in the yard! We were alone for the first time since early Nov. last week and we didn't know what to do with ourselves! Luckily we have people coming back on Sunday!
oh, and for those times when we DO need to escape, we will do it in style! We took delivery of a new truck camper today. A little smaller than the one we had, but new. We will still keep the 5th wheel for longer trips.
-
Actually apparently the first arrivals were today, and it wasn't Steve!!
ah well, I just need the coordinates and I am happy!
-
Usually the first person there picks a spot suitable for our size group. Steve and Carol might be the first ones there? Not sure.

Hey, just a note that for those of us that will be in Quartzsite, our annual quesadilla/margarita night will be January 23rd....woohoo!

We had a great time at the Porters Party Place and it was finally over yesterday. It was quite a site as we had 4 rigs surrounding their house plus one of theirs that had to be moved to get everyone out. We had double fun because our first RV was there too. Randy and Liz bought our Allegro bus (BessyBus 1) and also joined up with our group, so we can keep up with our old friend. She's still going strong.
We got back to Yuma with no problems, but later on in the evening it all went downhill. I was just getting ready for bed when i developed a nose bleed. I had one like this about 18 years ago and still have PSD from it. Wound up in the emergency room at 1:00am and that was a complete zoo. They had only one ER doctor on duty and the waiting room was packed. Some had been there over 8 hours and still hadn't seen the doctor. I did manage to get a nurse to help me, but still could not get the bleeding stopped all the way. We finally left about 5:00am and by 10:00 finally got it to stop. I remember IYQ had a episode with that in Demming and it was hard to stop his too. Now we were worn out and finally got some rest and all seems to be ok. They definitely need more doctors employed at the Yuma hospital. Now it's time to watch a OKC Thunder game and vege out! Steve
Wow Steve, hope you are ok now. How frustrating to sit in an ER so long.
we had a great time with our "yard full" and look forward to seeing everyone in Q.

As we close in on January I wanted to put it out there that Paul and I will arrive in Q likely on January 23rd. We cant get there sooner because Havasu has a balloon fest the weekend before and we have people coming to the house.
Anyway, we will do quesadillas and margaritas either the 23 or 24 for anyone in the group who is still there.
so far, looks like a good group

That's one of the reasons I hate facebook! Everyone disappears from previous communication channels. Once again I am missing IYQ; he did a good job of keeping this thread going.
Linda
Although there are certainly things to dislike about Facebook, unfortunately for other platforms, its VERY easy to share updates, pictures and random thoughts, and have a "conversation" in real time. Being able to post a picture from my phone, with the flick of a wrist, so to speak, makes it much easier than posting on a forum. To me, that's just too much of a bonus to ignore. Just because its different, doesn't make it bad!

We are keeping the motorhome. We'll still travel some but need it for weekends at the racetrack too.
Pats = Evil Empire. LOL! Hi Sue.
GO BRONCOS!!!!
Travel safe everyone.
Jeff
😇 jealous, Jeff?
haha.
I can root for the Broncos, and the Packers, as long as they aren't playing the Pats 😉

Do the Pats have fan clubs in most major cities like the Browns have the Browns Backers? Any place I have ever been has had a Browns Backers club that meets at a bar with a patio that shows the games. Despite the awful team the last 20 years, the fans are still rabid and those games are well attended. I have to imagine every time has displaced fans and have those clubs.
I feel like the Red Sox have that- everytime we have gone to a game outside of Boston, there were tons of fans dressed in red sweatshirts, but seems like most places love to hate the Pats so we don't see that as much. But then, i don't pay that much attention, since i really focus on watching the game.

Pats are doing better now, and just watched the 4th quarter of Bears vs Packers, go Pack!!!
gonna go out on Sunday morning and find SOMEPLACE to watch the Pats play!!!
we are back home in Havasu so the Elks is a likely spot!!
-
Sandie, i feel your pain - we made a quick trip down to Havasu to check on a few things. Ugh. Lots of driving but needed to be done.
Freddie,
please(!!) keep us posted on how you and Delcie are doing!!

Well, as a Bostonian (GO PATS!!!) i don't want to talk about last nights game. The Chiefs brought their A game, for sure.
i will say that I think the group has morphed over to Facebook to a great degree.

Congrats on the house building, Jeff!
Gonna have an RV spot for us visitors? Haha
We do like having a place to keep all the toys

Hey freddie, we were happy that we got to spend a little while with the two of you on your way through Deming- wish we had known we were parked within spittin distance a little sooner! Glad you two are gonna take it easy this summer.
Time to relax!!

If we can actually free ourselves up from family obligations, it is our intent to head to the PNW this summer, at some point. My ideal plan would be to loop around from east to west, maybe Idaho up to Washington and then south or if need be, up thru northern CA up to WA and then back south.
fingers crossed that we get to go at all. The last 11 months we have been running from crisis to crisis, ugh. In some ways I just want to stay home and veg out but I know as soon as the temps hit 110, I will get hitch itch.

Lol good thing you didn't come Thursday for Margaritas! With the bad weather, we moved quesadilla night up to Tuesday. If we had known you were thinking of coming we would have let you know! I think Thursday was the rainy night that we all piled into our rig to play Farkle! We were planning on going over on thursday for the Margartias but the weather didn't look good so we stayed in Casa Grande. Even in the rain, I know the bunch of you had fun anyway. Stay dry is not normally said in the desert, but applies in this case.

Lyn, there are a few people left but the crappy weather scared lots of us away early. We decided to head to Yuma since the class seems to have already separated. Tried to call Tony and couldn't get thru. Does anyone know if the area she is staying in is full? Think that's where we are headed.
I think Toni is boondocking, so there should be room. Try messaging her on facebook if you can't reach her by phone....

Well I guess we're in the "Class of 2021" since we are just moving to Fulltiming.
We have spent the majority of the last 9 months in out TT as CG hosts for the California State Parks, first at Cuyamaca Rancho SP and presently at So. Carlsbad State Beach. During that time we have maintained our stick built house in San Diego.
We put the house on the market yesterday and anticipate being out by 5/1 when we return to the mountains for our summer hosting gig. We also upgraded our trailer to a new 5er with more room and amenities.
Now it's time to figure out the biggies of the new lifestyle such as domiciling, health insurance, etc. probably this is backwards to those of you that are good planners, but it n 53 years of marriage it seems as though this is the way we operate! After all we started our life together by planning a full fledged church wedding in two weeks
Actually you are "class of" whichever year you start fulltiming- so if you started fulltiming in 2017, you are "class of 2017" . You can look for forum threads that pertain to your specific year if you'd like.
