Tucsontech
We are traveling North on Interstate 5 and wanted to spend some time at Lassen Volcanic National Park. We have a 26' Class C and a tow car. Would appreciate any advice on the best road in and out of the park along with recommendations for the best "1st come, 1st served" campgrounds
bruce t
In 2016 we drove from Redding on hwy 44. No issues with the road. It's an interesting NP. Some sections of road are steep and windy but nothing that really rings any alarm bells. Can't help with campgrounds. regards

JCZ
All the roads look to be good at this time..... https://www.nps.gov/lavo/planyourvisit/conditions.htm Summit Lake Campground is back to nature! Beautiful and right next to a little alpine lake that has an easy foot trail all the way around it. We stayed there in a 32' fifth wheel. 2017 Grand Design Momentum 376TH pulled by a 2014 Ford F-350 Lariat, FX-4, dually, longbed
