  1. Back to Q!!! Well I'm sure you would have a easier time finding a place to park than you did finding those keys LOL!!!
  2. We have been dry since leaving the Devils Den State Park. Some stuff in the area but dry & warm.
  3. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a great way to lift your spirits and help control the blood pressure at the same time.
  4. Glad your safe!! We watched that tornado touch down just south of us and then head your way. There was a helecopter tracking it so we actually watched it go through your area. We are going to leave here in the morning and head to Devils Den State Park in Arkansas. I'm sure that will probably just put us in front of the storm again.
  5. Hey Steve!!! Check in with us and let us know your ok. I saw that tornado go through there,,, not good.
  6. Well now,,,, being in the Oklahoma area has been interesting the last couple days. And it continues to be right now LOL!! Hey Steve,,, wave as we go like heck past you on our way out of this stormy area.
  7. LOL!!! Got to love those way early morning wake ups.
  8. Copy on the tunnel width. I also pay a lot more attention to the sides of those darn bridges. A entrance to a narrow bridge should never be on a curve!! Especially if you have a chance of meeting a log truck on them. Don't ask why I feel this way.
  9. I hear ya,, I think we are 12' 7". If I see a 13' I'm going to second guessing LOL!!
  10. How tall is your rig Roger?? Maybe you won't have as many run in's (did I really say it that way!!!) with low bridges.
  11. We finally moved into Oklahoma. We are settled in at the Foss Lake State Park. All we see is lake out the front and passenger side windows. May call this home until we have to head into Oklahoma City to get our new jack. Green grass and tree's!!
  12. Nothing compared to Lee but man this last week has been rough. Mondays travel day was filled with rain and wind and dust. The 3 days in Palo Duro Canyon State Park were pretty good until today when we tried to leave I had a jack that would not come up,,, geeezzzz. So it is now removed from the motorhome but the stupid alarm sounded all the way to Amarillo where we are now getting hammered with wind. Tore the jack apart and it seems the shaft is busted. I guess I will call Atwood in the morning and see if I can get a new shaft and rebuild this jack or if I need to buy a new jack. I have NEVER had any luck going through Texas.
  13. Oh Man Lee!!! Glad your not hurt. Take it in stride,,, what else can ya do?? Hope it all works out.
  14. We moved all the way from Ruidoso NM to Roswell today,, a entire 79 miles LOL!! We are in the Bottomless Lake State Park. It is supposed to be 91 today and then 58 with a low of 31. I think we will stay put until the fronts pass through. And I agree with those folks up north closing that darn refer door. And if we could get Steve to turn the fan off while we pass through his area it would be great as well.
  15. Casino,,, did someone say casino!!?? We are at the Inn of Mountain Gods casino in Ruidoso NM for a night or two. It's free camping until we step a foot in the casino LOL HEY,,, I wonder if they have ice cream!!??
  16. So I'm not the only one that is thinking about just shooting across tornado alley I see. That will be a big change for us,,, moving more than 100 in a week!!!! Almost unheard of for us LOL!!!
  17. The first time we saw the ISS was while at City of Rocks State Park. It was really something. I'll have to look into that Heavens Above thing. Is it a phone app?
  18. LOL!!! Even though I can't swim a stroke I tried one of the torpedo thingies you pull behind a boat. All was good until it came to a stop and I fell off. The boat pilot said,,, swim over here,,,,,. There was NO WAY I could take my hands off of the life vest. I could just see me slipping out of it and going straight to the bottom. I made hime bring the boat to me. He almost had to hook me and drag me in like a fish. Not one of my better memories,, and it was one of those,, done that don't need to do it again things.
  19. Those Sea Eagles seem to be the hot thing. Since we hit the road we have met at least 4 people that have them plus you Steve. I don't swim so I don't think one will be in our future LOL!! We moved from Elephant Butte NM to Alamogordo today Staying in the Oliver Lee State Park. Nice here today.
  20. Dang!!! And we are headed out in the morning headed in your general direction IYQ!!! Maybe I will make a "wrong turn" and head to southern Texas instead LOL!! Hope ya catch a break soon.
  21. Steve said he will be out of town for a few days,, just might be your chance to go in and deal with the ice cream machine. Do ya need any help!!??!!
  22. OK,,, I might have had my fill of the wind here in New Mexico. If I knew I could drive far enough east to get out of it I just might be tempted with a early morning departure.
  23. I've been feeling sort of bad that we have been moving so slow but with the weather the way it is I'm about to change the way I feel.
  24. LOL!! Steve,,as long as there is a air conditioner running loose I guess I'd be ok in the team roping,, thats what I roped the last time out. And yes,, I remember when we both were going through the home selling ordeals together.
  25. We have one topper that is a bit loose so went out during the wind to toss a rope over it to sinch in down a bit. The wind was so strong it was hard to just get over the slide. The last toss put it in the roof again where it got stuck in something LOL!!! It's still up there but I'll get up on the rood to get it loose today probably. I was laughing while doing it because I felt it a challenge. I kept saying to myself,,, just tie something heavy on the end,,, oh noooo,,, this is to much fun,,, it can't defeat me!!! LOL
