  1. Hey Carol - welcome to the area. That's one of reasons we like our park - the sites are pretty good sized. Fit the fiver, the truck and the boat. Let us know where you finally settle.
  2. Hey Lee - I'll be making my spaghetti in Q. Is that worth the extra 50 miles?
  3. Okay guys - there is NO quad in Jim's future unless it's riding Jeri and Terry's. Remember - we already have two boats, a motorhome, a fifth wheel and a truck. No more. Well unless we win the lottery of course. I keep forgetting we need to buy a ticket first.
  4. We are back in AJ after our Rally. Had so much fun and so much food. Probably will stay put now until January. Carol A. - any idea when you're going to be here? Horrible winds for tomorrow with lost of dust storms.
  5. Oh the joys of RV ownership. Jim was hitching up this morning so we could head up to Camp Verde and our front landing jack snapped off. We called one repair shop and they said it would take a week to get the jack in. No good. We then tried Apache Junction RV Service and Supplies. And just when you think customer service is dead, along comes Tom. These guys have gone the extra mile for us. They didn't stock the right jacks but they made a bunch of calls and found some in Phoenix. They didn't have anybody to go get them so off Jim went to pick them up. Called Tom when he got back and Tom came right over to help install them. We decided to just replace both of the front jacks. So Jim and Tom are currently hard at work trying to get us ready to go again. We won't be leaving today - definitely not going to fight the rush hour traffic. So we'll head up early in the morning.
  6. Hey Steve - that's the same thing Jim and I did today. Not sure we can contain ourselves with all this exciting stuff. Heading out tomorrow for a Chapter 45 Rally in Camp Verde. Got 24 rigs signed up so it should be a great time.
  7. Hey - all you guys in New Mexico. I just read an alert about a winter storm moving into your area next week. Take care out there.
  8. We are in Apache Junction. It's in the 90's - hard to believe it was only 31 this morning when we got up in Flagstaff. Jim's looking forward to doing some fishing next week.
  9. Freddy & Delcie - we stayed at the Corral also. It worked out perfectly because we didn't have to unhook the boat. We're in Flagstaff tonight at Black Barts. They let us take two spots so we didn't have to unhook the boat. Think we'll be back in Apache Junction tomorrow. Way hot down there.
  10. Lee - tomorrow is Columbus Day so I don't think the Post Office is going to be open.
  11. Weather is lousy. No snow but rain, and wind, and rain, and wind and more rain. And cold. We did see snow on the mountaintops surrounding us this morning. Those of you who are still north, keep an eye on this weather. It's supposed to be nicer again this week-end but not sure how long that will last. Millie has wings and our girls are growing web feet.
  12. Thanks Jeri - I was thinking maybe Lake Pleasant.
  13. Diane - we're not taking the RV through the tunnel and over that direction. We're going to just take the truck and go see that area. I'm trying to keep us on pretty "calm" roads since we are so long. I'm trying to plan on how we're going to get through Phoenix to Apache Junction. May take the long way around.
  14. Eric and Karla - congrats you guys. Glad to hear everybody is doing good. Lots of fun. Lee - so good to hear you are feeling better and not in so much pain. Nice that you're not looking at that ceiling any longer. Carol A - have a great time at your rodeo. But I know you will. Just try and stay out of trouble. The weather has been beautiful for our first day at Zion. Tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous again and then a cold front is coming through. Can't believe I'm using that four letter word.
  15. Hey Dave - Jim is on that cardboard and water thing too (at least once in awhile). We are in Leeds, UT for the next week or so. Off to Zion or somewhere tomorrow.
  16. We're making progress. Tonight we're at the fairgrounds in Spanish Fork, UT. Not as nice as last night but it works for an overnight stay. W/E for $10.
  17. Made it to Blackfoot, ID tonight. We are at the fairgrounds and this is a great place. We're the only ones here, don't have to unhook the boat and the girls get to just run free through the grass.
  18. I didn't think about the getting lost thing. You guys definitely need the GPS. Good luck down in Phoenix. It is 10:30 here and I've had my shower but I'm not dressed yet. Love it. Excited doesn't even begin to describe how happy I am to be on the road. But it's been so long since I've posted I had to post twice to make up for it. Glad you got a new chair, Lee. Jim definitely feels better when he's sitting in his recliner with the sleep lever on it. lol
  19. Houston, we have left the drive way. Tonight we're in Butte, MT. Hoping to see my great niece while we're here and do some sightseeing. Must haves are a pasty covered with gravy and a pork chop sandwich. Butte is well known for both of them along with drinking and the big pit. Feels so wonderful to be back on the road again.
