Got back to Retama Monday afternoon ...been cleaning everything and enjoying the company of the Retama residents and new friends BillB and his DW Cec .....Trash is glad to be back as well ....

It was 97 here in Retama today.. I think I heard right ..the radio said it was a record for this date !!...got here Thursday night ...because of the drought everything was covered in dust ...Got the RV and Volvo cleaned up checked the truck and found the batteries at 3 volts ...I knew after 5 and a half years I was going to need to replace them ...the trip this past spring to Yellowstone they started out weak but made the trip OK ....so this morning I replaced the batteries ...during the rain .. and got the RV ready and then helped LSU beat Florida ....!!!! Hazel will be here Wednesday and if all goes well we will be in Hutch Friday or Saturday.....Jim

We left Yellowstone Sunday and made it back to Retama ...not many here now ...If anyone needs anything done in Retama in the next couple days just call or PM me .....Jim

Bob ..You're right Beartooth is not open yet ...We had to go out the northeast entrance and Chief Joseph Hwy back to the RV west of Cody ....matter of fact the center road in the park is still closed .....still lots to see and do ...Saw a hugh Grizzly yesterday diging up ground squirels for his diner !!!! Was about 80 yds off the road .....The park has almost no traffic ...we maybe see 10-15 cars all day ....had a great time ....Jim

We are in Yellowstone and spent the whole day in the park ...."Kodak" the DW's nick name ....took pics of deer,elk,buffalo,mountain goats,and sheep ..one with a full curl !!! A lot of snow ...on the east entrance they induced a availanche and it dumped thirty feet of snow on the road ...they got that cleaned up..and down near the lake and the paint pots a sink hole opened up in the road and the Park closed the east entrance road ...I think they are going to open it tomorrow ...We are going to leave early explore the park and spend the night in Red Lodge,Mt.....that means a trip through Beartooth Pass !!!!!!

On the way to Yellowstone ...stopped by Woodland Park to see Jack ..was great to see friendly faces...it snowed on us last night ...low thirties ..32* now...supposed to warm up in the sixties today ...and be sunny ...keeping our fingers crossed for that ..Jack and Danielle are great host and got us parked in a snap we went to diner at the Ute Cafe ..Jack recommended it ..and was very good...came back and crashed ..was really tired ....Tomorrow we'll leave and continue on to Yellowstone......Jim

Left Big Bend Texas this morning about 10a and arrived in Carlsbad about 4:15p ....gonna be here a couple days .....

Have spent the last two days in Big Bend National Park ...Looking at the scenery running on off road trails ... even went down to the Rio Grande to let Trash and the DW cool off ....14 miles of rocks dirt and dust to get there !!!! Having fun ..headed to Carlsbad,NM from here then to Yellowstone....

The Trash Dog is in the Village !!!...Retama Village ....Got here about 3pm yesterday ....all the flowers have recovered that the two night freeze caused this past winter ......and it looks nice according to Hazel !!! Mark,Gail,Larry,Jack,Mike,Mark B,Doug,Phil ...Everything appears OK at your CH's ...Trash, DW, and I walked around the neighborhood this morning .. ITS A GHOST TOWN HERE .... David, Bill, and myself are the only HDT'ers here ... The retirement is kickin in ...sleep from 9pm till 7am this morning ..thats a first in a long time.....felt strange waking up in daylight ... took a second to comprehend .... 70* last night gonna be low 90's today ..be here about 2 weeks then back to take care of some business then headed north ..... If any Retama residents need anything while I'm here just let me know .....Jim

Neal look forward to seeing you guys .....On the truck ..make sure its not one million five hundred thousand miles ....and do like Jack always advises ...have at least five thousand put aside for emergency funds above your conversion cost .....have the truck checked over before you buy ...preferably a VIS and a DYNO also a good prebuy inspection .... If you check it out you will be ok even if you have to fix a few minor things ..... Jim
