I would ask a tax guy rather than a forum! 😉
I’ve said that before. Ask the people who know for sure.

Like the comments said the daughter is about as sharp as a marble. The driver should be charged as well as the daughter, but with what.

I know it is not Airstream's fault and you know that it was not Airstream;s fault but I am willing to bet that the family on their own or with the nudging of some lawyer will bring suit. I did notice from the picture above and verifying on the Airstream website that that door is a "suicide" door, at highway speed I doubt the woman could have held the door closed once it opened.
100% agree with you

N.Y. Vehicle and Traffic Law 1228 – Riding in house coach trailers
Current as of: 2023
No person shall drive a vehicle on a public highway while drawing a house coach trailer occupied by any person and no person shall occupy a house coach trailer while it is being drawn upon a public highway.
That’s a nice way of saying none of them used common sense. Just wondering if that was a first trailer for them. It’s sad but not airstream’s fault.

Maybe if they didn’t make you move they could just charge you real estate tax every year like a mobile home gets. That probably wouldn’t make you happy either. If you don’t want to move just buy a mobile home.

By the way 82 out of Alamogordo has steep climbs and a lot of tight curves. The length limit is 65 I think. That’s why we took 70
-
We skip around to try to see different parts. We did the 190 route twice once going to Waco and the other just to take the smaller highways. Next year we’ll probably go another direction to and from Benson. 70 to Alamogordo was scenic.
-
Yes took 190 from 10 just past fort Stockton to Waco 2 years ago. We stay on truck routes and had no problems. I liked 70 to 380 better. Stayed out of the El Paso mess. We’re you just at Saguaro in Benson?
-
We just left Benson on April 11 and stopped at a blm just west of Alamogordo. It’s a lake for the Air Force Base( hollaman). Then went up to 70 to Rosewell and stayed straight through and it turns into 380. Great drive we stayed in a picnic area pull off one night too. We followed 30 to Greenville Texas but once you get close to the falls area you can take one of the state highways south. The Hobbs area roads are ok but I would stay away. The raids are dirty/oily from all the oil work around there but the roads are good. I need to look at the map because I think we have taken 190 off of 10 also. I will look but if it is it is hilly but good roads. Will post after I check

Talk to Marci in the office, not the workcampers who work the desk. She may be able to help.

Try asking at the office instead of people who are not there.

We have nationwide with agent in rapid city. It’s covered towing or bobtail. Another thing I just found out about yesterday is safelite glass doesn’t do hdt sand I think motor homes. We had an appointment for today and the guy called yesterday and said he doesn’t know how the appointment got made. February 1 they started phasing out the inventory. We just have to go to another company to get it done. Safelite does the glass coverage for nationwide so just some info.

Happy birthday to a guy who’s a little hard to get to know , but after you do and sit around a fire and talk to him he’s a real nice and interesting guy.

Dinners are a little high but you get a lot of food and all the pass arounds. The specials are around 13 and comes with the pass arounds. You can get the pass arounds only for about 7. We did that the last time got one special one pass around and had enough for 3 meals between the two of us, plus a free night stay.

Is that the only light on the side of the truck over the front tire? Where are the faring lights that are came from the factory with? Hope the poor lighting doesn’t cause a problem for people when changing lanes and not seeing a blinker. Good luck with the over hang on some of the rough highways out there. I hope the owner has enough sense to put lights, reflectors or something. Just another thing to draw attention to ourselves on the highway. Glad it’s not mine.

Been to sikeston 2 times in November last year and both were good as far as restaurant food. We will stop there again Friday. We stay in the back lot overnight. It is ok to do that. They also have a campground that they built right next to the restaurant. All full hook ups. I think it’s 40 a night. It is a quiet stay. We’ll see how a Friday night goes.

There are 2 Lamberts in mo. Sikeston and Ozark.

Probably have real close to 40000 on the trailer in the last 3 years. I only repacked the one when you were here Carl and it looked great. That was after a year and a half. I do check for play in the bearings often and they still feel good. Don’t plan on repacking this year

Just talked to our agent in South Dakota the other day, need a new windshield. I asked about some non renewal that I’ve heard of and she said nationwide insurance is cutting back or not taking new policies on converted trucks. They are keeping current policy holders and she hasn’t heard of any non renewal to customers that were not claims related. Truck and trailer went up about 400 combined. I know this is off the topic but just wanted to share the info.

Yes, we were in Site 620 at Benson. It was the only site in that row that had hookups. All of the rest were boondocking sites and each site going away from ours was somewhat shorter than the previous one. There was a building of some sort next to our site (maintenance, maybe?) and I think there was another FHU site on the other side of that building. Again, none of the other sites over there had hookups.
Yes, I do know the difference between Rainbow Parks and Co-ops. We've stayed at both. I was simply reporting on what we experienced at each of the parks.
That building is a full wood shop and the side facing 620 has a drill press and work bench with welders, plasma cutter, torch and most anything else you need to do some small projects. It’s for all to use. The maintenance guys do have there office and supplies in there too.

I did do that with the age. I use this forum but she does Facebook. I won’t do Facebook.
