Lee sorry to hear both about your friends bad luck and your pain. Hope both resolve themselves real soon. Hmmmmm last I heard the cities of Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR called out the National Guard to TRY and control the goings on of 4 Escapees. Also heard that you can now find pictures of them at most Post Offices. Managed to get my pin rescued from the wilds of north central Washington and returned to the ole Homestead. However since I'm gonna move just a bit south later today, and use the Tablet to change the location, I wonder just where it might end up showing me. I'm not gonna get far enough south to get in Jeri, Terry, Steve, and Carol's way though. Joe

OK, while this Tablet is good for keeping up with what's happening it sure sucks for moving pins on the map. Spent several minutes messing with it and all I really managed was to end up somewhere north and east of where I'm actually sitting. Hmmmm on second thought that could really be use full, make it a whole lot easier to "sneak up" on folks. :-) Lee I'm way ahead of you, I already filed with the board for a Sympathy Waiver. Allows me to Whine, etc. for 2 more weeks and can be extended if needed. :-) :-) :-)

Yep I was right, get all you guys together in the same place and there is gonna be trouble. Now I think I'm gonna get to move my pin on the map later today. Going NORTH for another days WORK. Just going to take the Tablet along, so will see how much trouble it is to change locations using it. I will start heading south on Sunday, just won't get any farther than the Ole Home Base. Now starting Tuesday there is just no telling where that pin might end up. Lee I've decided to join you with the pain thing. Been going the the Chiropractor for the last 2 weeks working on my lower back. At least now I can bend over far enough to tie my shoes again. Joe

Well not exactly. This weekend I'll still be here at the old homestead. Don't figure I'll get on the road much before the end of the month. Might make Yuma by the 31st. Hi Dave, I'm using the Toshiba Thrive. When I go to the site, before I get a chance to hit "Log on", a yahoo popup comes on with no way to shut it off. At that point I'm unable to do anything with the map. Joe

Well I'm not real sure if it can leave the state or not.:-) But I do know that the map doesn't work on this Tablet. :-) Hmmmm Beaumont, TX......should only take 3 or 4 days to get that far. Joe

Still sitting at the old homestead. Weather is turning, had rain the last couple of mornings. Right now it is just like a nice summer day but gonna really cool off tonight. Have started packing things into the Doghouse, might actually be moving my pin by the end of the month. Joe

It seems like we finally got summer up here in the Northwest. Weather has just been fantastic for a couple of weeks now. Actually it was a bit to nice over the weekend as a couple of my Spies totally missed Steve and Carol sneaking around Pt. Townsend. Said something about scantily clad people distracting them. Joe

I went over to Pt Townsend today with friends. Went out to the Castle only to find that many changes have been made and new construction is changing the look of the place. Then a trip up to Hurricane Ridge only to be greeted by smoke from a Fire in the Olympics. Checked in with ALL my spies and can report that Bessie Bus was not at the Elks by 2:14 pm. So we went downtown and had pizza at Waterfront Pizza, then caught the ferry back to our side of the water. Just found out that I need to make a trip to "EH" land next Wednesday. Goofy little thing with the border, I have to travel through "EH" land to get to Point Roberts, USA. So I'll get to move my peg for a few days next week, YEEEEHHHAAAAWWWW. Been getting reports of activity from my spies so I'm gonna head over to Pt Townsend today and have a chat with them. Probably go visit the Castle and then check out Hurricane Ridge again while I'm at it. Gotta make sure none of the Out of State visitors have tried to make off with either one of them. Then on the way back I'll have to stop for Pizza at Waterfront Pizza in Pt Townsend. Joe PS Steve the Elks have a good Fish and Chips dinner on Thursday nights. Just not as good as Pizza.

Went to IE and made the changes, funny how it works with one browser and not another one. I'm guessing that something Firefox changed in their last upgrade is the culprit for me. Joe

Jeri, I wonder if that's the problem, I have been using Firefox. It did however use to work with Firefox. I'll have to try it in IE and see if that makes a difference. There are a couple of forums I visit that work better in IE than they do in Firefox also. Joe

Hi Dave, My Log On was successful also, peg turned yellow and I moved it. Then I scrolled down and the location said I was in Carnation, WA, which I was. Then yesterday when I went back to the map to change my position back to Oak Harbor, my pin was already there and my location also said I was in Oak Harbor. Also said that the last change was 7/25/11. Joe

Boy I sure hope that "smell" doesn't reach all the way to southern California. If I'm still on the road in February, that's most likely where I'll be. I will however pass through Texas in November and December. Joe

Hi Dave, Yes I changed my location to Carnation, WA on the date shown. However today when I went to the map to move myself back to Oak Harbor, the pin and the location said I was in Oak Harbor. Before I signed out yesterday both items said I was in Carnation. So today I just left and figured sooner or later it would get figured out. Joe

Well I changed my location the other day and everything worked just fine. However just now I went in to change my location again and it had already moved me back to Oak Harbor. So guess it ain't workin to well after all. Joe

Paul, I'm thinking the board was so surprised that I needed to move my peg that it went into shock. I then got the peg moved before it could recover and lock me onto the Island. I'll see what happens tomorow when I need to move it once again. Joe

I'm thinking that Steve's Ice Cream Machine is malfunctioning. Woke up to Fog the last 2 mornings here. If that's just another ploy to mask his approach, ain't gonna work. I just had the rear leveling jacks replaced on the Doghouse, so am gonna take it out for a couple of days testing. Also to help scratch this case of Hitch Itch I've been developing. I did get an email from a friend on Long Island early this morning saying they had Strong Gusty Winds and TORRENTIAL warm rain. HMMMMMMMM kida sounds like Mexico Beach a couple of years ago. Joe
