  1. I have Apple phone and iPad, have an outdoor account, own my equipment and still can’t use the app. I’m not on pay as you go, but that’s not the reason they gave me. They said it’s because my equipment is a hopper 3 and that is marked as residential equipment and not usable in an RV so my account doesn’t qualify. Sounds like any excuse will do. I keep complaining in every survey about 2 to 3 times a week.

we made to the Escapade!! got here around noon, set up and registered. it was a nice drive from Hollister, Mo. it's 92 out right now but we were able to get into a 50 amp site. there were only a few people in line so we got to choose the site, Dara took a golf cart ride and found the one she liked best, not sure if they do this for everyone but it was a nice for us.

If anyone from our class is here lets plan on getting together one day.

    take care

We are here at Escapade too. No one else from our class has responded though. Have a pretty full schedule but can always find time to meet new friends!!

  3. We just got back from a 9 week stay in Grand Cayman enjoying the ocean and sunshine! Have three different rallies coming up with the Escapade being the last one. After that we are going to head up and travel across the northern part of the US exploring and taking our time. Hope to see and meet some of you at the rally!

  4. If you are already receiving social security you will automatically be enrolled in Medicare when you become eligible. If you are not, then you will need to apply for both Medicare parts A and B about 2-3 months before you turn 65. I think you can do it online. If not drawing SS, you will have to choose how you will pay for the part B premiums until they can start withdrawing it from your SS.

Tricare will automatically switch you to TFL once they receive notice of your enrollment in Medicare. I assume you have Express Scripts for medications so you don’t need a part D. TFL is a great supplement for Medicare!

we will be in Summerdale at the Rainbow Plantation for December

We are currently in Rockport, Texas doing hurricane disaster relief but plan to be in Summerdale at the Rainbow Plantation mid-December until right after Christmas. Maybe we can meet up.

  6. We have the Weber Q1200 and had to remove the regulator on the grill in order to use the quick connect line on our 5W. That was the only way we could get the correct pressures. It can be put back on if we want to use bottled lp but as we fulltime we don’t see that happening often or at all.

  7. We moved into our RV fulltime in August. We are in Texas now until at least the end of the year. We will be staying the month of December at a park near South Padres Island. We may stay there for January and February if we really like it or we may decide to head to Arizona and check out Quartzsite. Just playing it by ear.

  8. Any other Class-of-2016 headed to TX or AZ this winter? We have scheduled RV School driving lessons in Livingston Tx for 11/21-11/22, and Tgiving with family in Dallas. Then some TX RVing for a few weeks, eventually landing in BOOMERVILLE in Quartzsite, then the Newmar rally there - both in January.

After that - who knows? Suggestions appreciated, always!

We are heading out Monday, first south from Indiana to Florida until the end of October and then we are heading west. We will probably spend most of November in Texas meeting up with our daughter and her husband's family for Thanksgiving and then move on to Arizona. We do plan on a little bit of time at Quartzsite in January but other than that have not made any definite plans. Hope we don't have any problems finding parks. We are also open to suggestions. Maybe we will run into you on the road!

  9. We will be moving into our 5W in August. Have camped for years, moving from tents to popups to TT then a couple different MH but knew we wanted a 5W for fulltiming. We started the process last fall buying the RV and truck and also selling the house and downsizing 30 years worth of STUFF! As hubby still had to work, we moved into a small apartment, keeping only a small amount of furniture. And in the meantime making modifications to the RV to get it ready for fulltiming.

Fortunately he has been able to retire earlier than expected in February of this year, so now we are just waiting out our 1 year lease on the apartment plus we are babysitting grandkids this summer. But come August - kids are back in school and we can move out and get rid of the rest of our things. We've spent the last few weeks scanning many pictures and documents that had been stored by not only us but both of our deceased mothers and my grandfather. Really freeing to get rid of all the paper accumulation. Hoping not to have to leave anything in storage.

I think the only hard part will be being away from the grandkids for long periods of time. We see them a lot now and they grow up so fast. But there's always Skype and facetime so hopefully it won't be too bad.
