I don't know what your RV is, but the Circuit breakers be for the 120 vac equipment and the LED's would be part of on your 12 vdc circuits which are fused. What is that Circuit breaker servicing?

    Clay with a FW

My RV is a bumper pull toy hauler - the circuit breaker is labeled CONV.  Any more than that is why I'm looking for an RV repair person.  Everything else is above my pay scale....!  Appreciate your help.

BTW - I'm not saying the two problems are connected.  The lights have been bad for a while.  These are just things I need attended to that have happened while I've not been close to a larger area with RV repair.

  2. Near Custer (town) are several nice parks.  I chose Broken Arrow a few miles out of town but all good road.  Lots of choices, something should fit your needs/wants:  http://www.campgroundreviews.com/regions/south-dakota/custer

When you buy a vehicle pass for Custer State Park, it costs $20. but is good for 7 days!  Lots of gravel roads off the main paved 'loop' road with beautiful scenery, more wildlife and less crowds.  From Broken Arrow you can take a back road into the State Park - or visit Wind Cave, on down to Hot Springs for the Mammoth Site and other attractions.  My 10 days did not give me enough time to visit everything, so will head back next year.  Staying a month is not out of the question for my travel style/interests.

    Enjoy your trip!

  3. I bought my toy hauler new and have been full time since.  It's been a very sturdy, well put together rig and I've had several gentlemen stop while passing by my RV spot(s) and comment on how they are 'surprised' to see such a beefy trailer.  Floor plan and kitchen design was important, but that's personal.  I also wanted sturdy axles, bigger wheels/tires.  Mine is a 2017 30WRS Work and Play, bumper to hitch is 36'.

Looked at used but never could find one that was 'gently' used.  Good luck in your search!

  4. You might also check out the Diamond Lake RV park.  It is a commercial park with hook-ups.  There is also a USFS park next to Diamond Lake but not sure you would fit.

Diamond Lake RV park is very close to the North Entrance to Crater Lake National Park.  You can get to it via Hwy. 97/138 or come in on Hwy. 62 from I-5 (Medford, Or).

It's all good road and beautiful country - have a great time.

Yup, I won't get in your way, but I will take video and put it on Youtube.

    That's just plain mean.

I've only been RVing for 3 years and luckily (I guess) have never run into those who are mad/angry/kia.  Have I asked for help?  Yes!  Have people offered - a couple times.  The whole process is pretty cut and dried, I feel it's within my ability but sometimes any one of us can have problems.  That doesn't mean it needs to be posted on Youtube.

Offering a 'you got that?' is kind.  The comments I really like are 'you are pretty good at that' :)  or,  nice truck -or,  that's a  big trailer, the best ones are 'you do that all by yourself????'   Attacking someone who's having a bad time only makes their day worse.  Thanks to all those I've met who have been kind!

  6. For the past 3 years I've filled out the form for General Delivery at the Post Office I use in Eastern Washington.  They also ask for ID when signed and when I pick up USPS mail.  The form is good for 30 days.   FedEx and UPS deliver to my camp site.   Figured it was SOP and wasn't offended.

  7. And now it's April 1st - no foolin'

Left Wickenburg this morning, heading north then east, then north again.  Will have to do my Tucson tour some other time.  Hope everyone is heading out on their journeys for 2019.  We finally got normal weather for most of March and now it's as it should be.

Post when you can and let us know where you are!

Safe and happy travels to all.

Don't know what fixed the problem, but my "No Internet" problem went away sometime in early March.  I guess Verizon fixed the problem.

The issue of 'no internet' got really bad on my Jet Pac, losing signal 2-3 times per day, then 'bingo' - got a notice from Verizon that my auto-pay was now activated (was set-up, but never worked at all) and now everything is as it should be.  Still on my toes waiting for the other shoe to drop, but so far, all is well.  This all happened towards the end of February.

  9. As I mentioned in an earlier post, the first and second months were perfect, no shut downs except when the prepay didn't activate..  Now that I am in my 3rd month, each evening at about 10:00pm Mountain Time (AZ),  the JetPack says all is well, but the computer shows 'limited'  on the connection symbol and I lose internet.  The first two nights, I immediately rebooted the JetPack and all went back to normal.  Last night I waited to see if it would reboot on it's own....nope.  Waited about 15 minutes, then did a manual reboot and all is well....again.  Haven't taken the time to call/chat/drive to the Verizon store but will report what they say when done.

  10. For what it's worth...

I also have been on the 'new' Verizon unlimited plan for 2 monthly cycles.  The first time I can't say which came first, as the auto-pay did not activate, so I was just toast at 10:00 pm until I could get to a Verizon store the next day. Paid in cash and all was well.  The next renewal, I had already paid the day before (at the store in cash) so was watching to be sure it was a smooth transition to the new month.  Nope.  As with others, the jetpack screen showed all was well....my computer didn't.  I had no connection to internet.  Shut it all down figuring another trip to the Verizon store.  Next morning fired it up and it worked just like it should!  Have no idea how long it took to get it's cycle arranged, but I'm thinking it's not a hardware issue.

Will head into the Verizon store next week, but it's just a reseller, so not sure if they'll have any answers.  Might be a couple weeks before I head back where there is a corporate store.  Thanks to all who have given experiences in this thread.

  11. Hi Vicki - I'm at Hospitality for the winter....was just in Pahrump on my way down here.  Stayed at the Escapees park last year, but this year used my Passport America at Preferred RV.  Maybe we could meet up?  Let me know when you get down this way.

Sounds like your headed to Tucson. I'll be there in a few days for the winter. Pima Air Museum is awesome and if you haven't been there before, I'd also suggest the Sonoran Desert Museum https://www.desertmuseum.org/  (stay for the raptor show!),  Gates Pass is beautiful as you drive in to the museum. The Tucson Botanical gardens are very nice and a drive up Mt Lemmon is a must if you haven't been!  There's a very large open mine in Kearny which is about a 90 minute drive from Tucson.  Safe travels.

Wickenburg is my destination for winter, then thought April might still be cool enough to visit the Tucson area....will totally depend on what shows up on the weather.  Thanks for the suggestions - I'll try all of them!

  13. Today (or tomorrow) is my 2 year anniversary into full timing!  Whew - it's been a lot of travel, a lot of new friends, a few mistakes (!) and a really interesting time.  Sitting out some wind in Nevada, then will resume my trek to Arizona for the winter.

Already started a rough draft of my travels for next spring/summer/fall - not as many miles and will try to do longer stays as I go.  BUT, got the trips done that I'd been thinking about for years.  My brother and I visited northern Alberta - a trip we'd been talking about since 1980!  Back then I had NO idea I'd ever travel by RV, let alone live in one - but here I am.

Hope everyone has had a great 2018 and is looking forward, as I am, to next year.  Places on my list are the Pima Air Museum and the Very Large Array, plus hope to spend a month or two in northern AZ.  Enjoy your travels and keep us posted.
