I could not find a phone number for Visable.  Is there not a way to speak to a person?

You have to start with a chat session. If this does not resolve your problem you can request a call back. The agent may say that this is not possible, but if you persist they will arrange for a call.

  2. I have had Visible since May 2019 and it has been great. I doubt that there is any other service which offers unlimited everything including hotspot use. With their PayPal option total price $25/month. Occasionally I am in an area where there is no Verizon service, so I'm looking for a service for something other than Verizon and came across https://tello.com/. They use TMobile/Sprint towers. Unlimited service is $29/month. I would continue my Visible service and add Tello as a backup plan.

  3. I have used CCleaner for many years but recently came across Glary Utilities. It has everything that CCleaner has and more. It's available here:

I've been using the free version and it will prompt you to activate it. It will gladly upgrade you to the paid version. I've been using the free version for several months with no problems. There is no need to activate it.

Yes - it may cost a little more than your "average" internet.. But to me, finding a truly unlimited, high speed 5G capable internet that WORKS in RURAL

I checked their site and a "little more" turns out to be $149 per month if I'm reading it correctly.

I presently have Visible and am paying a total of $25 per month for unlimited everything which includes hotspot. Hotspot speed is capped at 5Mb/s but that is fast enough for what I need.

  5. For folks using Visible here's a link to a document that explains setting up your phone and using a wireless router. A router will allow you to connect multiple devices to the hotspot. Visible allows only a single connection to the phone's hotspot. The author recommends using a GL.iNet brand router. I'm presently using the GL.iNet Beryl version and it works great. If you scroll down toward the bottom of the page it will explain how to circumvent the 5 Mb/s speed limitation.

dzwiss - glad you agree. Love coffee from a French Press but it takes a lot of water to clean one out. The Aeropress is just slam the plunger and the cake of dregs flies out. Cleaning is just a wipe with a paper towel.

I purchased an AeroPress a couple years ago at Target. The store did not carry the filters for it. About the only redeeming feature was that it was quick. People claimed that the coffee was much better. I was underwhelmed. I use a French press and have no problem cleaning it. When at home I just add some water and pour the grounds down the drain. I don't advise this for an RV. When camped I just add some water and heave the grounds outside.

  7. I have been using Visible service for a couple of years now and am very pleased with it. As far as I know it is about the only service that has truly unlimited hotspot data. Joining a Party Pay plan brings the total price down to $25/month for unlimited everything. Using a wireless router allows you to connect multiple devices. I'm using a GL-MT1300 Beryl Router and there is a fairly simple hack to eliminate the 5 Mb/s speed cap. I did a speed test this morning and am getting 60 Mb/s. This speed varies a lot but I am getting a fairly consistent 30 Mb/s.

Here's a link to a document that covers a lot of info regarding Visible: Unlimited Internet for AS LITTLE AS $25 with Party Pay

Toward the end of the document it tells about the firewall rule hack.

I have tried putting the Visible SIM card into my 6620L JetPack. The only change needed is to change the APN to VSBLINTERNET. It works great but I don't know if Visible can detect this. They could shut down your service if they find out. I did this for a few days when I destroyed my phone and was waiting for a replacement.

  8. If you don't have an oven you might want to consider a combination microwave/convection oven unit. I have a Panasonic inverter type in my motorhome and my house. I hardly use the microwave function in my motorhome but use the convection oven a lot. I've cooked up to a 13 pound turkey in mine.

If you're using your Visible phone for voice as well as data, then buy another Visible plan/phone. Remove the SIM from this phone, buy an 8800 hotspot (sans SIM), and put Visible SIM is the 8800.

Multiple connections, works like a charm.

So you are saying buy another phone for $80 and $200 for an 8800 JetPack plus another $25/month rather than a one-time cost of a travel router? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

  10. I've had Visible since June 2019 and it has worked great for voice and data. It is my only phone and data source. I have traveled out west to Montana and spend winters in Florida with no issues. The app is only required to activate the phone. You do need to connect to WiFi to activate the phone. If you are porting your phone number to Visible your old phone will be de-activated once the change takes affect.
