  1. Congrats Lee on the new rig! Sounds like this place wanted to do business with you not give you the business. Happy Camping. Ed and Linda, sorry about the eye/glasses issue. Got to be annoying but once done all should be good. Waiting for more rain here in Branson. Lake Taneycomo has risen and we may have to move or find pontoons for the rv. Stay cool and dry everyone. Jeff
  2. It was me. Tina said to try Chrome instead of Internet Explorer and bingo there are the pins. My bad. Jeff
  3. Is it just me or can y'all see the pins on the map? Not going to be able to do much outside through Friday unless you want to get wet. The AC's are getting a workout, Tina stepped outside yesterday afternoon and her glass' fogged over. That's humid. Stay cool and dry everyone. Jeff
  4. Same forecast for the Branson area. Occasional showers and T-storms for the rest of the week and 80's. Please Steve turn them off. Jeff
  5. Dave, Coeur D'Alene has great bike trails. We'd park on the west side of town at Riverstone park. You can take the trail to the lake and along the lake front or go to Spokane the other way. Other trails branch off the trail going toward Spokane. Also the Hiawatha Trail is close by. Must have very good headlights for the 1.7 mile long tunnel. http://www.ridethehiawatha.com/ We really liked Coeur D'Alene. Stayed 2 weeks last summer. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  6. We are going to try and slow down some. Plan to do a month at most stops. Currently in Hollister, MO. (Branson) for a month then on to Memphis for a month along the Mississippi. Not sure where after that but it will be east. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  7. Come on over. A change of scenery, you can see the rest of Florida not just Lazy Daze. LOL. Jeff
  8. The lodge is in Tavernier and they recommend reservations. Two years ago we spent 2 nights there at $35 a night. We lucked into 3 nights at Bahia Honda (30+miles from Key West) in early December then also. Made the reservation in June. Tampa RV show is a real RV show. Lots of RV's to look at and the other stuff too. We plan to work our way down the east coast of Florida before Christmas. After that it's still up in the air. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  9. That is where we stayed when we were on the RV tour. They had a tour bus for our trips into the city. Jeri - I'm sure we'll see each other in Florida. Maybe we'll have a class less get together too. LOL. You going to do the Tampa RV show in January? We finally saw the sun today but could have rain in the morning. Yuck. Jeff
  10. Please pass the eraser and chalk. Thought we'd be in Arizona this next winter but we've decide to go to Florida instead. Hear some other are going to Florida also. We have doctor visits in Texas in April and a graduation in Phoenix in May. This time hope to see more of the gulf coast on our way to Texas next spring. We're in Kansas City and haven't seen the sun since last Wednesday. Jeff
  11. We are in the Kansas City area to visit family and friends in my old stomping grounds. We'll be here a week and it's raining. Hey Steve now that both eyes have been done - How many fingers am I holding up? LOL Pretty clear huh? Time to get some cool shades. Are you and Carol going to join the circus? Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  12. Made it to Norman, Ok. yesterday. It rained off and on all the way until we got to the Texas/ Oklahoma border then the sun came out. Suppose to rain all day today. We move on Thursday morning. We are parked by Carol and Steve. Went out for some great BBQ and a lot of talking. Good to see them again. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  13. Lee I know it's only 4 miles but it would be better to make arrangement with some to do the driving the day of your surgery and the next day checkup. They put so much stuff in your eye for the surgery. The next morning it was like my eye was glued shut. Went for my final check today and I have 20/15 in my just fixed eye. With correction (glasses) both eyes will be 20/15. Still need bifocals for reading. We hit the road tomorrow. Going into tornado alley for a graduation in Kansas on Saturday. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  14. Thanks Steve. We are heading that way on Tuesday. Don't let that water damage get to big it's costly. We know. Did you take pictures with your new phone of Carol climbing into the motorhome? She's one heck of a woman. Jeff
  15. We got our motorhome back today. In the shop for 10 days. Solid floors, new flooring and carpet. We'll be leaving Texas on Tuesday after my final trip to the eye doctor. A graduation in Sterling, Ks on the 16th. Been here since March 24 and we are more than ready to get moving again. Steve scare those bad storms away. We have to come through there next week. The eye doctors like to keep you around for a month after the surgery to make sure everything is ok and give you a new prescription for glasses. Lee, You've have made a quick trip. That really sucks about your trailer. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  16. Gees Roger the "ol' Beave" hasn't been very kind to you and Lynn since you rescued it from Florida. Maybe it's homesick and wants to go back. I remember my Dad telling me " if you own an RV you don't need a hobby because it will keep you busy working on it". Hang in there. Jeff
  17. I had my right eye done 4 years ago. Different doctor, different procedure. First time they just gave me a pill to calm me down, no IV. This time I had an IV and they kind of put me under. My old glasses are 4 years old and still work ok but I'm not going to use them. We'll see how the new prescription differs from the old. Jeff
  18. Glad it went well. I went back on 4/22 for my one week check and all is good. My eye got dry over the weekend so I have to use a moisturizing drops too. Can resume normal activities (lifting, leaning over, etc.). I go back on 5/11 for final check and new prescription. I don't like messin' with readers. We take the motorhome in for floor work on Monday and suppose to get it back by 5/8. Should be on the road again 5/12. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  19. Toni and Doug - Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling good. Get well soon. Tina and Jeff
  20. Roger it got cold here last night. Down to 58 degrees. LOL. Cali was 11 lbs. at her first vet visit on 3/9. Today (4/20) she went in to be spade and weighed 17 lbs. Her head is about knee high. Hope she doesn't get much bigger. Levi the cat is tolerating her. Also she has lots of energy too. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  21. A little over a month ago I mentioned that while on our Baja Mexico trip we got a "Mexican surprise". Tina has finally posted on out travel blog about the surprise. http://rvtravelswithjeffandtina.blogspot.com/ Travel safe everyone. Jeff
  22. We've eaten at Paula Deen's a couple of times. Did the buffet both times. OMG. Thanks some good eatin'. Tina really likes Savannah. Suppose to have a couple of days of thunderstorms here in the San Antonio area. It's been cloudy most days for the last week. Later. Jeff
  23. Sounds like you're making progress Lee. I know what you mean about Tra-park. We stayed 1 night there over 3 years ago. Hope it has improved. Got the cataract removed yesterday. What a difference, not looking through a fog with my left eye. This time they put me under somewhat to perform the surgery. I was still awake but didn't realize they were doing anything until they were almost done. I'll still need readers. Another progress check next week then on 5/11 the final. Travel safe everyone. Jeff
