  1. I went through this a few years back and did not try and re-write our bylaws but bypassed the guy that put the tag on my "motorhome". We can park RV's (Motorhome's) on our private property here in back lane or back yard scenarios. Front drive RV parking is seasonal. So, when I was told I had 48hrs to remove the "commercial vehicle" off my property I called the supervisor of bylaws for parking in the City and said that this was a motorhome and registered as such. I said that if I had to remove my motorhome that they would have to remove anything registered as a motorhome in the city. I then proceeded to send my "motorhome"registration to them and within a day case was closed and I asked them to mark this case to my property address to avoid any future confusion by his bylaw officers. It seem like you have all the rules in place when you get to the right person that will run a license plate no# before issuing citations. IMO

Awesome, good for you. Just talked to Chad and looks like maybe a Razor upgrade👍. I hope things work out and we can see you guys again soon.

    Hi Tim,
I can't wait to visit my all American friends again. Yeah, talked to my Polaris dealer yesterday and will be a bit before I can get a RZR Pro Ultimate but he will get me one.

Have you started the build yet?

Just started the planning stage and got a bunch of paper work from Cole to go over. Hoping to time it right so we can get it in the fall and head south for the winter. Need to be allowed across the border to get the rig. :)

  3. Welcome to the forum. We ordered our 2015 truck new from the factory and went with 500/1850 D-13 / 2.64 / 2-150 gal tanks 236" WB / Bose seats / Magnum inverter / sink / work station/ adaptive cruise with auto braking / disk brakes / air locker. We added a porta potty that fits in lower cabinet out of view. We do get off road occasionally and have been stuck and had to get pulled out. This year will be adding Truck Claws to the tool box collection of tow straps.   We have a heavy Phoenix bed and agree with Randy that it helps ride and traction.  Have fun with the process.

  4. Don't get to see the Rockies until we get closer to Calgary. We go through the Thunder Bay area every few years on our way to Val-d'Or Quebec to visit friends. If the border remains closed this summer we may be heading that way again. Usually stop at the KOA there.

  5. Hi Carl,
We have a monitored system that was installed about a year ago to replace the old system. It is a combo of wired and wireless sensors for alarm, fire, flooding. Can arm/disarm detached garage and house independently from cell phone, tablet or PC. Will email me on breach our entry/exit. Is Alexa enabled so arming is easy by voice. I have a small app (tinyCam Pro) on my cell and tablets for monitoring 9 wireless camera's. Also, tried a new Reolink solar powered battery powered wireless camera on our back driveway and has worked very well at motion alerts and live monitoring away from house. It also notifies me on motion and records to SD card which I can access remotely. The other ones are Foscam  indoor wireless cameras for my house and business which use SD cards for local storage. The camera's do not use cloud storage but can if you want to pay for that. Also, added TP-link Smart home switches, plugs and bulbs to set routines for lights to come on a random times or can turn on/off about 20 lights at once if see suspicious activity. Also, ecobee thermostats all Alexa enabled to control heating and cooling remotely.

I camp with Chad all the time. We will see “ grasshopper”. Looking forward to meeting up.

Tim, I've traveled with Chad and Dave. I just get out of the way and let those big horse power trucks lead the way and maybe catch the draft!  :) Have fun in "Q" wish I could join you guys. I'm just hoping the border is open by WCR time. Locked down in Canada.

  7. The car is well inside the width of the mirrors so it doesn't look that obvious. It seems the trick to loading on angles with the new DCT is to use the hand brake and (not the foot brake) and accelerator petal at the same time.

  8. Carl,
Yes the one I have comes on with motion. Also, if you do the hardwired kit it will stay in parked mode for monitoring when not in vehicle and has a low voltage cutoff setting so if batteries get to low will turn off dashcam.

  9. Hi Carl,
I just changed my 1080P dashcam to this VIOFO A129 Pro new 4K dashcam last trip. I can now make out license plates much better and has really good video. I also bought an extra GPS mount to move to the Smart Car and the the remote Bluetooth button which I mounted on the dash that can trigger the camera to save picture and video quickly since camera is not reachable from seating position. Since this uses a lot of data to record 4K I bought a 256Gb micro SD card. There are a lot less expensive dashcams out there but I have been happy with this one so far. The WiFi app is nice and parking mode records great video when not in truck when sensing movement.
