  1. We are now in Hampton, VA set up in the Langley A.F.B. FamCamp. It's not a very nice campground, as there are mostly homesteaders (some for more than 6 years), but it is convienent for visiting friends and family. We plan to be here until early December then down to Charlotte, NC; Savannah, GA; and Florida.
  2. Left Harrisburg, PA this morning and are set up at Fort A. P. Hill, VA for about a week before heading down to Hampton, VA for the month of November.
  3. We will be at the Harrisburg East Campground. Look us up if you come to the show.
  4. Back in Harrisburg, PA after a most enjoyable week in southeastern VA making music with old friends. We plan to be here at the Harrisburg East Campground until early October. Anyone coming to the Hershey RV Show?
  5. We are set up at the FamCamp at Fort Eustis, VA until Monday 12 August, when we will return to Harrisburg, PA. Came down here for an Army Band reunion. Having a ball seeing old friends and playing music!
  6. We are back in Harrisburg, PA at the Harrisburg East Campground for the summer (through September and the Hershey RV Show). After leaving the ECR we stopped at Fort Campbell, Ky and stayed at the FamCamp then on to Rising Sun, IN and the Little Farm on the River to visit with Susan & Rick Pope (Rickeieio). We stayed 4 days at Bob Strohofer's shop (Robert's Quality RV Repair) for some maintenance and upgrades (see thread on Bearing Service & Tire Upgrade). Stop in and say hello if you are in the Harrisburg area or traveling along I-81.
  7. Thank for those kind comments Rick. We have surely enjoyed our visits with you and Miss Susan and are looking forward to the next opportunity to get together with you two. You have been a very gracious host and are a mighty fine cook as well!!
  8. We are in Hampton, VA at the Langley AFB FamCamp. Should be here until leaving for the ECR at the end of March. The Wonderbed is working very well, LOTS of storage and we are becoming more comfortable with loading and unloading the Smart.
  9. We have finally begun our southern migration from Harrisburg, PA. Currently we are at Champs Camp at Fort A. P. Hill, VA between Richmond and Fredericksburg until Thursday, when we will move down to Hampton for a few weeks. The Szmyt Wonderbed is a dream!
  10. Drum roll...Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Davena... Happy birthday to you! I've come to love those significant milestones! GOD bless, cindy
  11. We had a great time at the ECR, then up to see Paul & Kay Cross at Indiana Interstate for some work on the Mobile Suite. Now we are in Harrisburg, PA at the Harrisburg East Campground for the summer. Stop by and say hello as you may pass along I-81!
  12. Finished our summer workamping job in Harrisburg, PA and have begun our migration south. Will be at Buckroe Beach in Hampton, VA for a while visiting family and friends. Looking for a workamping gig in Florida for the winter. Hope everyone has a great time in Hutch!
  13. I've been lurking here for about a year reading all I could about using HDTs. My wife and I have been fulltiming for almost 4 years in a 35' MH until the purchase of our 5er in September at the Hershey RV Show. Jack and Mark's web sites have given me lots to think about, as I began to consider an HDT. We are in Harrisburg, PA and have recently met Phil & Kathy Detweiler who have helped continue my education. We won't need a truck for another 6 months or so, as we will be here in PA due to health concerns. I have begun to search more seriously for a truck with the prices coming down lately. I've seen a post about a singled Volvo that is ready to go and is within our budget and have contacted the owner. Some of what I've recently read about Wayland's auction finds is making me think I need to investigate that avenue. Budget is a major consideration (like it isn't for everyone?!), so I am trying to be patient in the search. Thanks to all who post. This has been so very interesting. Jeff
