  1. Good thing you are a full timer or you wouldn't have time to see all the interesting places the GPS takes you. Recalulating!!!!! Try changing to fasted route and see if that helps.
  2. We will still be in Beaumont, Tx when you come thru. Give us a call and maybe we can get together for a meal or a visit. Or maybe you can spend the night at the Elks lodge, water and electric available. Jerry
  3. This is what is so great about being a RVer, friends you make and get to see again. Cheesy Grits is not the only thing Mike likes to Eat!!!!! It has been great visiting with Mike and Deb and Smoky, hope to get together again next year somewhere. We do not plan on attending the get together in Q but we will follow every one else's adventures on the forum. If enough people are in Texas this winter, we may have a get together. Jerry
  4. Check out the TopSail State Park west of Panama City, Very nice! We are going to Rockport,Tx for a week and then returning to Beaumont area, we think. Let us know when you are coming by and we will get together somewhere. Jerry
  5. Sure was nice to see Bandit again, of course he had to bring Joe along. Had a great time visiting with Joe. Jerry

  7. We moved back to Beaumont today to my daughters driveway. I10 is about 600 feet from her house. Let us know when you are going thru and maybe we can get together for lunch or just a visit. Jerry
  8. After 2 weeks with the grandsons, Nana needed a break so yesterday we moved to the Houston Elks Lodge for 2 days. Leaving tomorrow to return to see the grandsons again. Drove by the PPL RV lot about 2 miles from here because we knew the Sands might be there. After looking thru the RV store and walking over most of the RV lot and looking at the coaches we did not see the Sands Rv so started to leave and noticed a section with RV's we had not seen. We drove into this section and noticed a new looking Winnabago Journey setting by itself with a Honda CRV close by. I stopped and when I went to the door Dave come out. We got to visit with Dave and Linda for just a short time as they were pressed for time. It was great to see Dave and Linda again and hope everything goes great for them in the future. PS- Linda has lost so much weight if she was to go to Quartzsite this winter she had better watch the wind because it might blow her away . They both looked great!! Jerry
  9. Well we left your place on Whibey Island at the end of August and we just got here. But there was a lot of country we had not seen before so we took our time. Sooooooo that means you will be here this weekend. Jerry
  10. Are you sure your pin can leave the state? Been stuck there a long time. We should be in Beaumont, Tx tomorrow for several weeks. Let us know when you come this way. Jerry
  11. We are in Bridgeport, Tx tonight, headed to see grandbabies. Last night we spent in Amarillo, Tx and ate at The Big Texan Steakhouse, we had the 21 oz steak and split it and could not eat all the steak. How could someone eat the 72 oz steak? I got to thinking about who in our group could eat a 72 oz steak. If it was crabs, I would bet on Jeri and Joe to eat 72oz's . If it was eggs, I think Jim could come real close. I don't think anyone in our group could eat the 72 oz steak but Lee might after a long walk!!! As we drove across New Mexico and the wind blew the whole way, I am pretty sure Millie passed me once or twice. Jerry
  12. Congratuations!!! Grand babies are fun.. Jerry andjanice

So Paul and Sue we would love to meet ya there. Think we might get Dave and Nancy to join us too! Anyone else going to be in the area?
  15. Janice has a few pictures of the animals on her blog for 2-14-2010. Don't forget you can ride in the sand dunes at Imperial dunes. You can ride over 20 miles in one direction if you want.
  16. We loved Bryce Canyon, Capital Reef and Red Canyon. Spent almost a month there with Mike and Julie, and Dave and Nancy. When you are driving to Bryce from Red Canyon, there is a road on the right a mile or so before the entrance that goes to Tropic Reservoir. Gravel road but beautiful ride and several boondock areas next to small lakes. We are in Monument, Co., come on over

Staying at the Wapita NF campground, electric for $10.00 a night with access pass. Shoshone River is 100 feet away. 30 miles to Cody, Wy. The Buffalo Bill Historical site is amazing, plan on spending at least 2 days to see all of it. I guess this means you are not going to Iowa. Jerry and Janice .
  24. We have arrived in Ennis, Mt after spending several days with Mike and Deb (Coldsmoke). So happy to get to spend time with them after reading of all their bad luck in the past years. Mike took us trout fishing and we caught more than we could eat. I will have to say that Mike has hitch itch after being stuck for so long, we spend 4 days together and moved 4 times. We got to park on the river two nights with campfires often. Thanks for showing us the area. Hope to get together again soon. Sure are a lot of great folks in our Escapee group!!!! Hope to get to know all of you better. Jerry and Janice
