  1. It seems warmer here too than Casa Grande. However, we'll have to see what the morning brings. I usually froze the most when I walked Duchess then.

We moved today. It sure lifts the spirits to be in a new location even if it's an old location! I get in a rut staying in one place too long! We'll probably head to "Q" between the 10th and 15th too. We want to spend a little time with Terry's mom and do a few other things before we head that way.

    y

You think your in a rut, a year in one place is wayyyyyyy to long!!!! My rut has turned into a ditch....have fun!

  2. So sad about Dave. We meet him out in quartzite in '09 I know he will be missed and I'm sure Millie with miss him the most. Coldsmoke let us know when you get to Atlanta we will catch up with you all. Heck we'll gang up on Jerry , he needs to be put in his place. I dare he keep me in one place this long!!!!!! Tell Deb hi.

    Janice

  3. I think you may have been away from civilization too long. Talking to the bears is not the same as talking to me. I will try not to use words you don't understand, my grandson started kindergarden this year I will get him to help me to speak at your level..Deb is a superwoman to put up with you. Looking forward to seeing Deb and you again. Go visit Joe, if he can't fix your coach bet he knows some one that can. He might have some bad whiskey to share.

    eh ?

what you mean eh ? eh?

they kinda talkfunny huh , kinda like that jerry guy dont understand ,,janice i can understand but a stretch understanding jerry..

  4. Well I'm all of the above, spitless, stiff and bored! I really miss the RV bunch to, it's just not any fun when you don't have folks to compare notes with. We are sitting at the Elks club in Dalton, Ga and we might as well be on the moon because no one stops here. We've had two overniters that left at daylight and that's it. I agree with you Sandie I would just as soon be in Az. in the heat it would be better than this and I wouldn't have to put up with the humidity. Happy Anniversary Freddie and Delcie we had our 40th in April....we may not make our 41st though if I don't get out of here soon!!!!:angry: Jeri, the Casita is looking better and better, at this point I'll just take a tent.

  5. Thanks all, maybe we can get back on the road soon but I may need a little help from everyone! Seems Dear Hubby has become accustom to "WORK" again and may need a little nudge from" yu'uns" to get him back on the road. My timeline for ending work was Dec. 31, 2012,(that makes 1yr. of work) now that date seems to be waivering a tad bit to extend this contract. "" Under the terrms setforth there was to be NO negociating this date as of the release from the home anchor clause. Release from this contract was to be free from all house responsibilities to include no repair work, no utility bills, no lawn maintance and no honey do's." Ok, so you all get my drift. All work and no play makes Jerry a dull boy ......sic him JERI!!!:D:rolleyes:

All help would be greatly appreciated. The tires on the bus are starting to dry rot!!!

    Thanks,

    Janice

  6. Lee, don't you know you will be in style no matter whether you choose the old pants with holes or the new ones with wrinkles!:P Well, we have signed a contract on the house and we will be outta here on August 1     . We will still be in Ga until the end of the year but, plan on heading to Florida for awhile in Jan. Homeless has a brand new meaning and it sure feels good and what makes it even better the new folks are buying all the furnishings we re-bought for the house! So that means a clean get away.....can you feel the weight lifting??B) Even the excessive heat feels pretty good right now!! Happy Trails All!

  7. Try out that new phone and Give me a call at 678 315-7716 and we will make our plans.

    Jerry and Janice,

If you decide to run up to Crossville let me know before Monday and I'll plan on staying long enough for us to make contact. Otherwise the next stop is the COE at Center Hill Dam. (the COE at the Dam not the one on the East side of the lake.) I like that place and it's only about 6 miles off I-40

  8. Joe/Jeri, We are close to Copper Hill, Tn where they mined copper early in this century. Killed all the vegeation and turned the ground and streams red. looked like a moonscape for about 40 years, We will see what kind of fish we can catch in the streams. Got to be just like the Copper River Salmon you are used to, right? Expect a shipment soon!!!!

I think your right. I do need to add though that the Salmon needs to be Copper River Salmon, for a better finished product  , not any of that NASTY Farm Raised Atlantic stuff  .

    Joe

  9. You do have our address so you can ship some smoked salmon our way, don't you?

Nother day of "Liquid" Sunshine here in the PNW. So I put a batch of Salmon in one Smoker and getting ready to fire up the other one for a run of Smoked Cheese. Mmmmmmmm not much better than fresh smoked salmon with a bit of fresh smoked cheese to go with it. Other than that just gonna bottle a batch of Cranberry Juice and GOOF OFF.

    Joe

  10. Keep us updated on when you get to leave.

Jerry and Janice: I'll probably be at the Bean Pot Campground west of Crossville (I-40 Exit 322) next Monday but I'm not real sure. My Doctor called and said I was anemic and took some more test this morning. I'll get the readings from those test tomorrow afternoon. Then I'll probably know if the Doctor will turn me loose or schedule more appointments.

  11. Dang Lee, that pin can be moved. We have setup our RV in Crossville on some land we own. Let us know when you are coming thru and we will see if we can meet you. We go to Crossville about every weekend anyway.

I tried to look for a number on my amplifier but it just says SOHO Amplifier. It's mounted insided a cupboard right close to the ceiling and it's very hard for me to see it good. I tried to buy another Trucker Antenna last week and was told that Wilson Electronics has gone out of business. He told me to go to Best buy because they might have some Wison stuff left in stock.

I've been at the NPS campground in Linville Falls, NC with no phone signal and no internet. I moved into town to a comercial RV Park ($190 a week) My doctor's nurse called and said I was anemic and to come in tomorrow for some more test. I hoping to get out of here by next Monday and head back west. I don't know where I'll head for, Just West. I was hoping to see Jerry and Janise as I'll be going through Crossville, TN but they are down in GA according to their stick pin. This campground has pretty good WiFi and boy is it fast. It's only a half mile from where I used to live. Glad to be back on the forum.

  12. We made it. Crossed the border at 10:00 am. No problem at all.

We feel so lucky. We found the place we are staying in the Day's End listing attached to Escapees. These people are not Escapees or rv'ers. They are great folks and the place....well. Five acre farm with ponds, blooming trees, ducks, and goats next door. 10 minutes from son Graeme. (He is doing fantastic by the way). All this for $100 a week.

Could someone do me a favor? For some reason, we can only access the neighbor's Wi Fi on Doug's computer and he does not have our peg map. I want to move our peg. Could one of you post the link here, or email it to me.

    Toni-Here is the link.

    happy birthday!!

  13. Just wanted to let all of you know that Jim and I are going to be in AJ for awhile longer than planned. We found out Jim has lung cancer and is going to need surgery. We don't have a date yet for the surgery but hopefully it will be within the next two weeks. Then we'll find out if he needs any additional chemo or radiation. Several people here in our park aren't leaving until the end of May so we are surrounded by people who will take care of us if we need help. Sure is a good feeling.

I'll let you know when we find out something more.

Sorry about the bad news, hope every things turns out great and Jim is back fishing soon.

  14. Don't understand the weather this year. I am back in North Georgie and the weather this week has been in the 80's all week, Next :D week is supposed to be the same, sunny and in the 80's. Today was at least 86. Go figure.

Similar but we can also add SNOW to that list!! And, more of that stuff is expected overnight!

  15. We're going to head over to the Buttercup area of the dunes tomorrow with Freddy and Delcie just to watch them. The places are packed with dune buggies and about everything else you can imagine over this holiday weekend. Did you know it was a holiday weekend?? We should have an awesome view.

Good thing you got the Jeep, now you can drive up on the dunes and watch the dune buggies race. :D You can take Freddy and Delcie over the dunes to the fence now!!!:P

  16. Well, we are due to pull out of the Yuma area on Friday but after the ride we just got off of today on sand dunes, the canal, etc. etc. we're re-thinking whether we should just move out of the hook-ups and down the road a mile to BLM land.

If you go down to the hot springs and head east on the same road, you can go back to the dunes and park at the base of the dunes. You can get on the dunes here and drive 20 miles to Glamis and stay on the sand. Have fun regarless!!!:P

  17. speaking of a wash,, dont do what a fellow did here yesterdAY he tried to cross one of those washes with a dutch star probaly 40footer. well needless to say a couple hours later there was a lot of picture taking of the hung up rig. looked bad but he did get out.

also we have a new name for our GPS.. im not allowed to type that kind of language on the forum,, but i bet you get the drift

we will leave on friday for ca and vegas but be back on the 20th hope to finally meet you guys

    mike and deb

DId you get the POI's loaded on your GPS? If not, see if Jeri will help load them. Not sure if this will help your GPS but makes it friender to use. You have updated to the latest map update, I hope. When Garmin send me a replacement last month the maps had not been updated since 2009.

  18. Dang Jim, I bet that was exciteing for a while. Hope you have all the bad luck out of your system now.

For the members with a diesel motor home here is a good link to a video on how to use the coaches air system to air up your tires.

If anyone in our group has encountered the situation when using our on-board air supply to inflate the RV tires and has had issues of not getting enough pressure from the air compressor to actually inflate the tires.... this short video clip from the "RV Geeks" has a wonderful explanation and solution so you don't ever run into this problem again. I highly recommend taking the time to watch it. It certainly cleared things up for me.

How to Inflate Your Tires using your RV’s Air Compressor

P.S. There are many good "How To" video clips at the RV Geeks web-site on an array of subjects.
