  1. Thanks for sharing your video. We have had no issues and its easy to just register it in another state as we live full time and travel daily. Sam
  2. One more Article going over most of the upgrades to our van https://gearjunkie.com/camper-rv/1988-mitsubishi-delica-van-life-build
  3. That event looks great! we will be showing our film (https://freshcoastfilm.com/films/2021/road-to-wanderlust) and doing some classes at the overland expo in 2022. it would be fun to add a few more events in 2022. Feel free to connect with us on email. YogaSlackers@gmail.com, we are always excited to share our knowledge and experience with the community.
  4. Hey Kirk, I was part of Technomadia subscription for a year, it was super helpful. Unfortunately I was unable to connect with them directly. I did try to offer som unsolicited feedback and I must have been misunderstood. So I did not bother to renew my membership. They do wonderful work and I’m sure we’re just too busy to hear my intentions through my keyboard strokes. Raquel is 41 and I’m 40. I moved out of my Apartment in May of 2003, by 2009 I was full time on the road. The 1963 is still very much a dream of mine. We unfortunately still don’t have the physical resources to make it happen. Namely a shop. The project and our mechanically minded friend is based in the ID, Falls area. The Delica (SlackerVan) was supposed to be a transition vehicle but the last few years wiped out all our savings and income. So it will be our base of operations until we can rebuild, and by then who knows what the vehicle landscape will look like. Lots of exciting times ahead, but I am holding out for the opportunity to combine new and old tech into the ultimate mobile base camp.
  5. Hopefully I answered everyone's questions. here is more information if you care to learn more about the build https://expeditionportal.com/mitsubishi-delica-l300-4x4-slackervan/
  6. exactly, This 80w panel produces about 200w during the first 3 hours of light where the 700w arry on top barley nets 100w in the first 3 hours of light. We also see a big benefit while driving in winter months.
  7. Exactly. I love that you made it removable! We have an additional 160w foldable panel under the bed, but being able to easily remove your panels would be perfect for extended stays.
  8. We have a 200w immersion heater as well as a heat exchanger from engine coolant to water for heating our onboard water tank. We also have a 600w immersion heater in our cold tank as well as 2x 160w pad heaters in our 18 gal insulated cold tank hooked to a temperature controlled PID unit, so our water stays liquid when all the water around us is solid So the 80w solar panel in question does eventually heat our water.
  9. Hey Wayne & Jinx, this would have been a faster way to get answers I randomly found this while searching for a new article about our #SlackerVan that is supposed to be published on www.GearJunkie.com soon.
  10. IT is an 80 solar panel from Merlin Solar. It is the most robust Panel on the market. https://yogaslackers.com/nomadlife/slackervan/
  11. Unique is in the eye of the beholder for sure. The advice I always share is... be sure to check in with the "why' you are doing what you do and if it doesn't align with your core, then look for ways to realign your lifestyle with your goals. I would never suggest someone live in a 1988 Ford Festiva for 12 years... but it did work for me .
  12. This is our full time home High pressure hoses are for the 12vdc Mini Split Air Conditioner. Side Panel is great when driving east in the winter when the sun is at a lower angle. It also can be tilted when parked. We have a 160 watt panel that slides over the Windshield as well.
  13. There are solar panels mounted everywhere we could fit them. The hoses you see nearby are for the 12vdc Mini Split Air Conditioner. SIX MERLIN SOLAR PANELS (TOTAL 1,065 WATTS) 240-watt semi-flexible panels mounted to Yakima SkyBox 21 Carbonite 240-watt semi-flexible panel mounted to Yakima SkyBox 12 Carbonite 185-watt semi-flexible panel mounted to the Yakima RocketBox Pro 12 160-watt Rigid panel bonded to aluminum honeycomb board, which slides out to cover the windshield 80-watt Rigid panel bonded to aluminum honeycomb board, mounted to the right side custom aluminum pop-out 160-watt flat-folding panel under the bed Most info can be found here, we are continuing to add more details. https://yogaslackers.com/nomadlife/slackervan/
  14. If you think that is small. I lived in the www.PeaceLoveCar.com for 12 years, 6 of those with my Girlfriend. Check out our film on youtube under
