Thank you for the information. I believe this was prior to the Department of Revenue software/computer upgrade in 2019 and though information is good it seems to be no longer valid. I am sure there are still some people in Georgia that have a HDT and I would like to know if they had this problem after 2019 and how they handled it.

We purchased it from a private party in Canada. It was titled as a motorhome in Canada. The county sheriff in our home county verified the vin and listed it as a MH on that form. It is the Department of Revenue that is the hang up. It sounds like there is no classification for this type of vehicle. Their computer system keeps kicking it out because it is a "tractor truck" (semi).

Hello All: Is there anyone in this forum that has a current Georgia HDT title? The most recent one I am finding in this forum is from 2017. We recently purchased a converted HDT with the standard requirements of to make it a motorhome and we are having difficulties with the State of Ga Department of Revenue to register the truck. The only tag they will issue for this vehicle is a commercial vehicle tag. We have tried to explain to them that is is for personal use to pull our 5th wheel and is not a commercial vehicle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
