That’s semi true haha I actually am a Union electrician so wherever a job is at I travel there and work for a couple months then move. So sometimes travel mode is also work mode. Tyler

I’m not a Jeep person either but I definitely am not a smart car person so I’m willing to make the leap. That’s my biggest concern with a long truck and if we intend to stay somewhere long term we’ll have the hdt, a Jeep, and the girlfriends car most places have a 2 vehicle maximum and either charge for extras, put you in overflow, or you’d have to arrange offsite storage. When we are just traveling it’ll be the hdt and Jeep so we would be within the two vehicle limit but length could be an issue in some parks as far as fitting in the site. Almost every park we’ve been to has had a good size overflow so I think it would be ok.

That could work out I will have to think about that. Do you know off the top of your head if Canada allows double towing? I plan on heading up in the spring that would be nice to tow the Jeep the full distance.

I was looking through there. I contacted Brad about his truck for sale if we don’t make a deal at least I’ll get an idea what he likes and doesn’t like. Thanks for the heads up.

Did you stretch the frame? What’s your overall length? Could you hook a 5th up to it?

I’m currently in Washington and I’ll be in Alaska hunting in October. I would love to make it to one that would definitely make it a lot easier.

Thank you for your time I called RVH lifestyle and he told me everything I was curious about. Price breakdown, exactly what it involves, why they choose Volvo, and it looks like you don’t save a lot with the ramp. You basically are gonna have to stretch the frame regardless of 2dr or 4dr and it takes deep pockets. Along this journey we’ll see how it goes. I’ll let you know how things turn out.

I am trying to go as short as possible just trying to figure out how to go about it. I’m not opposed to anything. I would really prefer a large sleeper so that makes it tricky. Thanks for your reply.

Hello RV community, I have been full timing in a 40’ 5th wheel for about 4 years with my girlfriend and a dog (now 2). We recently acquired a couple 1981 Honda CT 110 trail bikes. I have been pulling it with a 1997 12v Cummins Dually and I’m selling it this week. I’m interested in buying a semi with a sleeper keeping the tandem axles and loading a Jeep in the back. It will just be a 2 door short wheel base. Is this configuration a pain or not? I know most choose single axle and smart car but I enjoy going off-road so it really wouldn’t work. I see some build a ramp on the bed to keep the Jeep at an angle what benefits are there to this? Thank you for any responses and I hope to learn a lot throughout this process.
