When it absolutely, positively has to stay rust free, use POR-15 paint. Just make sure you don't get any on your hands as the only way to get it off is to wear it off. That paint is what most pros use on custom frames to prevent them from rusting.

    👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Thats the second truck to get hit by lightning. I believe Rogers Jones old red Volvo got hit shortly after he sold it. If I remember right the guy got it fixed.

Yes it did and he got it fixed, too out all computers and the new dash I installed.
He was glad I gave him a book of receipts for his insurance company.

Best seat I have ever had. I’m buying on for the freight liner soon!

I got the heat the cool option and the vibrating massager and I’ll do it again! I sure miss that seat don’t miss the Volvo that it was in but I do miss the seat!

I would like to say thanks to all who responded to this thread, it has given me much to think about. This is also what I love about the HDT forum, people are always willing to share with others on the forum who ask questions.

    Sincerely,

Look in to expedited FedEx freight, you can have a real nice truck with a box on the back of it and make a good living. I is one that had several trucks on the road for many years, if I was is to do it over again that’s the way I would go.

  6. I’ve removed the inner lock and threw it in the trash, this will never happen to me again! A very easy job to do after you get the plastic off the column cover, the interlock is mounted underneath the ignition switch and has two wires going to it I did this a year ago.

  7. I mounted mine to the left side of the compartment on the drivers side. Ran the cables down the compartment about 6” in and just behind the divider.
I used 2 7 way junction boxes one into and one out so it was easy to add any connections or do testing.
mounted a 40 amp breaker from batteries, then used smaller breakers as needed for any accessories.
That was on my 99 Volvo 610, not the truck in my post.

  8. Yesterday I lost more that a friend, I lost a family member it hurt so much taking Treasa's calls. Mike suffered for a short time, went to the hospital by ambulance, short stent in the hospital to hospice, and then to the Lords waiting arms. I can only hope that my time is as short.
