  1. Well, I moved to a different site this morning. I'm now in Site 1S. I even have some neighbors over here. After I got everything hooked up then unhooked I went into town to get a couple of Hardware store items. One of them was 50 feet of nylon rope to loop around my slide the long way to hold the ends of the slide topper down so it can't pick up as much wind. It sure makes it a lot more quiet in here. I stayed outside playing with the slide topper and such a couple of hours but my lips and eyes were getting so dry from the wind I finally retreated and spent most of the afternoon taking a STEVE. The wind seems to have gone down a bit maybe I'll survive. Congratulations Coldsmoke, On your house closing. I knew you would provide me with another opportunity to toast a good event. I even broke out the good stuff. Maybe that is why I slept all afternoon. Now if DEB won't quit work and come on the road with you tell her you are going to leave her there. Naw, It wouldn't work. She knows you'd get hungry before you got 50 miles and come running back. Tell her that one of the requirements for being a full time RV'er is to be a Homeless, UN-EMPLOYED Drifter
  2. Hey Soos, What section of the grocery store is that parmalat milk in and what type of container am I looking for. I looked in two stores today and didn't fine it. Boy is this place breezy. Late this after noon a pickup truck came so close to my slide out that I thought he was going to hit it. He swung around in back of the trailer and parked so I went out to see what was going on. He said he had paid for this space for yesterday and today. He said he had a job in town and didn't leave his tent here because he was afraid it would be stolen. Then he showed me the ticket he filled out for the space. I told him I have paid for two week on this spot and there was nothing here to indicate that someone already had the site so I'm not moving. He finally came off his high horse when I told him to go get the Ranger and let him settle it. He never came back but I saw him going to a different section of the park. I think I'll move tomorrow just to make him mad. I saw a site that I like a lot better and it isn't beside the road to the lake where the fisherman are running past all day. Plus it's down close the the electric section so it will be a little more sociable.
  3. I'm at Storrie Lake SP in Las Vegas, NM now and boy do I have a Verizon signal. I've got so many bars that I get tipsy when I go on the internet or talk on the phone. The snow has all melted here at the campground but a hill to the west of here is white as it can be. The first thing I did after setting up was go to Wally World. I now have a definite shortage of refrigerator space. I've got the cranberry juice supply built up now waiting for one of you guys to post a bit of good news so I can celebrate. There is a definite lack of trees around this lake. I'll bet I'm going to get some winds that will give Dave some real competition.
  4. We had another 30 degee night but to day warmed up to 59 with very little wind. Just after I finished breakfast and was sitting here wishing the last of the snow would melt off my solar panels so they would start working betting I completely ran out of LP gas. I was all hooked up and ready to hit the road but the place I'm heading is 1000 feet higher than it is here and they got a lot of snow. So, I unhooked the truck and drove the 12 to 15 miles to I-25 and got two tanks filled with LP and drove back to the park. As long as it had me awake for sure. I hooked up again and pulled the trailer to the dump station and dumped my waste tanks then while backing back into my site I stopped at the central water tap and filled the fresh water tank. Now I'm ready to pull out again in the morning and head for Storrie Lake State Park just outside of Las Vegas, NM I'll be there before the truck really gets warmed up. I sure hope I have a good phone and data card signal up there I'm getting tired of fighting this thing every time I need to change pages or post something. I'm also out of everything except refrigerator space so I need a Wally World Bad.
  5. I woke up about 5 this morning looked out the door with the porch light lite and that White Stuff was flying all over the place. There was a rather strong Breeze and the White Stuff was mixed with precipitation. It was way to chilly out to do the Labor of getting ready to move tomorrow morning. So, I ask the ranger if I could stay a extra day over my 14 day limit and leave Tuesday instead. He said OK. There ladies see what a gentleman I am not talking dirty while in your presence. I just hope I don't run out of LP. I'm on my second tank and don't know when it changed over. The high temperature today was 33 only 2 degrees warmer than the low last night of 31. I traded a can of Roast Beef with gravy for a gallon of milk with a couple of young men who had run out of everything except Milk and instant soup. I've run out of everything except refrigerator space. I seem to have more of that every day. I do have a pretty good supply of canned chicken and Salmon so I won't starve. Some people will go to no end to loose a few pounds. It's real easy just go to a campground where there is no store within 40 miles. Hang in there folks Sping will get here we just don't know how many winters we'll have to endure before it gets here.
  6. With all the good news lately with Steve and Carol's closing and Mike and Debie about to close and get back down here in the Lower 48 where they belong. It must have broke the log jam. I tried to pay my Phone bill on line again tonight and it went right through no problem at all and the pages loaded fairly fast. Like 5 minutes instead of a half hour. Tomorrow will be my last day here at Villanueva. Monday I'll put in a hard day driving and go about 40 miles or so up to Storrie Lake State Park, NM My 40 miles it like Jerry and Terry's 480 miles I just left out one digit. I ran out of milk yesterday so I made some instant milk. Boy that stuff taste terrible. But I was able to get my cereal wash down me with it. I couldn't use my cranberry juice to put on the cereal. I told Steve I'd use the last 1.5 liter bottle of that to toast his house closing. I'm still toasting. Freddy and Delcie. You guys just stop that getting sick. Get out on the road away from all those germ carrying people and you'll live a lot longer. We need you for the annual get-to-gather down in Yuma. PS. I'm sure glad I'm not going up to Storrie Lake SP tomorrow. I just checked the weather forcast and they are expecting 3 to 5 inches of snow with a high tomorrow of 36 and a low tomorrow night of 26. For Monday morning they are saying snow changing to rail. So I think I'll just drag my feet a bit getting out of here.
  7. Been tring to get a phone call through to my house keeper and no luck. I got as far as the sign in page for Verizon Wireless to pay my bill and then it just quit again. I love the campground but without a good phone signal I don't think I'll be staying here for any length of time again. I think I just saw Millie flying over with her leash trailing behind with Dave holding on for dear life. Yep, Dave that wind even got to us down in the canyon today so I can imagine how it was at your place. The lady that was tent camping in the next site got out of her tent this morning and it took off across the road going end over end. She better take some rocks to bed with her after this.
  8. Hot digity Dog, I only have 1.5 Liters of Cranberry Juice, but I'll just have to make that do. Congradulations Steve and Carol. Now you can get back out here on the road with the rest of us Homeless, Unemployed Drifters. I still haven't been able to get my phone payment made online. I tried a couple more times last night and again this morning and again just now. I can't even get the Verizon web page up now. Oh well, Just two more days and I'll be up at Storrie Lake near Las Vegas, NM. I should have a signal there. It's a nice warm day today but we have a few really strong wind gusts finding their way into the canyon.
  9. Yesterday I didn't have any signal at all. The wilson amplifier just blinked red. Today I have a signal again but boy is it week. I've been trying to pay my phone bill online for the past 3 hours and I get to the company page then it won't go any farther. I'll try one more time after I post this. If it will post. The weather here today was fabulous. A little cool last night (33). But nice and warm today with no wind (76). That storm in Virginia got my Niece and her husband on their way back home after the job closed down in DC. The rain was so strong the couldn't see each other (car and truck) They couldn't see the exits to get off the highway so they just crept along. They did make it home to Charleston, SC safely though, Thank God. Yesterday it was a little cool here and windy. I watch the bunch of teens here play in the water. I think I may have caught Pneumonia just watching them. Yesterday, I sat outside with my coat on and carved an Egg Head Pirate. (I'm not going to say which one of you guys I used for a model.) I call them egg heads because they are character heads carved in a wooden egg. The wooden eggs are available commercially. Today I was sitting outside and picked up a twig from a cottonwood tree about the size of a pencil. I carved a woodspirit face in it with just my jack knife just to see how small I could carve a face and have it look like one. The smaller you get the harder it gets. One slip and you don't just loose a nose you loose the whole head. Well I'd better see if this will post then get back to trying to pay my phone bill.
  10. When I woke up this morning is was sprinkling. Not enough to settle the dust. It just made spots all over everything that had dust on it. At least I thought is was rain but it may have been when Dave was tring to get Millie to fly. It just scared the P out of her. The bunch of teen agers loaded up in the bus this morning and went on some type of trip. They got back about noon and were playing in the river. The wind here in the canyou got pretty bad today. The river her flows from south to north. (we must be on a double bend in the river} Some of the boys were floating in the river on big sky blue tubes that looked like big donuts. The water was trying to take them North but the wind was pushing them back south. When the wind would die down for a few minutes they would come back to where they started. Another mixed bunch of kids were climbing up and down the sand stone ledges on the cliff. Some of them got pretty high up. I went to town and got some lunch meat and tortillas to last me the rest of the week then came back to the park and hooked up my trailer and changed sites. I'm now in 14B. I knew the other site would be hard to get out of and take a little time. I had to back the trailer up an hill with loose gravel and a very sharp curve at the top where it meets the road. I took my time and had no problem at all but I'm sure glad I don't have that staring me in the face the day I have to move. (2 May) This site has a water faucet near where the drive hits the road. I can stop on my way out and fill the fresh water tank. This site is also level. So I put away all the blocking. I haven't even unhooked the truck again. I shouldn't need to before I leave. It has turned a little chilly here. It only got up to 62 today and it has already dropped down to 49 and it just now got dark. I still have a whole tank of LP so with that and a bottle of cranberry juice I should feel just fine.
  11. That wind that Dave is buckling up for must have got lined up with this canyon. This morning the wind down here was popping the canvas on my slid topper. However, later on we were only getting the gusts. The campground is practically empty. A bus load of early teen age kids pulled into the group shelter area and set up camp. I had a free show watching a group of boys trying to set up a rather large tent in swirling winds. about two hours after they arrived a group of about 20 of them took the 2 1/2 mile loop walk up to the top of the cliff then along the cliff's edge and back down at the other end. Boy, they must have been in a hurry they made it in record time and that's a pretty steep climb up to the top. I took my walk up the hill on the other side this morning. It's a pretty nice view from the hill top but only about 3/4 of a mile walk ( but pretty steep). This evening a bunch of girls came into my site with a big plastic bag. They were policing the whole campground. They did a real good job. With all the trash that was blowing around from what the weekend warriors scattered aroung. About all I did other than walk was paint a cane handle I carved the other day. I have to get a long lag screw before I can put the handle on a cane blank I have that I plan to get ready for the raffle next year at the slabs for the area children. If I see any dogs flying over with a long leash dragging I'll grab it and tie it to one of these big cottonwood trees.
  12. I don't blame Dave for going bunny hunting on Easter. This park was a mess all day. I took a walk the length of the park this morning and there was one reserved site with 18 cars parked at or in the road in front of that site. I wonder what happed to the rule I read about only allowing one vehicle and one towed vehicle per site. Most of them have gone now so the place is pretty darn quiet this evening. I checked underground weather for the forcast for this coming week and they had predicted 5 days of snow. That set me back a notch. Then I looked at the altitude and they had the reporting station at 6800 feet. This place is only at 5765 feet. They must have been reporting every town withing 100 miles the same as the reporting weather station. It is supposed to get a little cool hear. It well be getting nights in the low 40's and a few days it will only make it up to about 65. Just nice sleeping weather. Today had a lot of thunder heads forming but they must have been heading for Oklahoma. There were so many of them that the controller on my solar system was going crazy. I'd get 30 amps then a cloud would come over and it would drop to 3 or 4 amps. It might help if I hired Dave to climb up there and wash the mud off the panels. I'd even serve milk and cookies. I spent most of the day sharpening gouges today. Thats a job I don't particularly like. Maybe I can get Steve to do it for me if I comment on his SHARP wit.
  13. Another day of watching the Weekend Warriors. Loud cars and motorcycles going up and down the road all day because there is no other place for them to go except home. Boy the lousy internet connection is realy slow tonight. I've been on the computer for 40 minutes and have just got to this page. So I may be wasting my time and find out that it won't post. Oh Well, My MOM told me every night. "Sleep Tight" so I guess I'd better break out the cramberry juice and get ready for bed.
  14. I didn't know there was any roads that long.
  15. Well I got it to work last night but it sure took a while. Oh well, If I wasn't wasting time sitting here waiting for the screen to change of for something to post, I'd probably be snacking. So It's just as well. The weekend warriors are here in force. There isn't a place big enough to stand left in the park. I even had one character ask if I'd move my trailer so he could get into the picnic table behind me. I told him not only NO but Hell NO. That picnic table belongs to this site and it's so crowded back here now I'll have to back out because it isn't big enough for me to make the loop and pull out going forward. I just can't imagine anyone having the nerve to ask someone to hook up and pull out so they can get into a spot then him have to pull back in and re-level ect. Then I would have to do it again when he left Monday morning. The gall of some people. I think I'll resign from the human race. I did lots of walking and lots of carving today. Half the carving was because I did it once and didn't like it so I shaved it off and tried another way. The weather down here in the hole has been peachy Keen. It's probably as windy as the fat lady that sings up on top though.
  16. I don't know if I can get this to post. It took me about half an hour to get the page up. But I'll give it a try and at least I got to read everyone elses post. I'm still down in the hole at Villanueva State Park. I like it down here but do wish there were a few more creature comforts like a good store and a gas station. A Verizon signal would sure help also. Without my Wilson amplifier on I don't get any signal at all. When I turn the Amplifier on I get a connection but it doesn't show any bars on the phone and only one bar on the Data Card. It take about 10 minuted to change pages and half the time it times out and I have to start all over. I took the loop walk yesterday but was warned that the return side of the loop has a lot of loose rock So I went up to the Lookout wandered around on top for a few minutes then came back down the same way I went up. It's a pretty steep trail but I took it real easy. I walk about 50 feet then just stand and look around for a while then walk another 50 feet. The space I'm in is a nice space with a shelter and an extra picnic table outside the shelter with plenty of shade and the roof of my trailer gets sun all day long for my solar panels. There is a drive coming down from the main road and a loop around a couple of trees to drive back out. The only problem is my truck and trailer is longer than the loop is wide so I'll have to back out up the hill. That might be a little tricky. Thank God for 4 wheel drive. I'll tell you all about it in about a week. I notice people are not very open in this park. All the sites are arranged where you are blocked from view of your nearest neighbor. The walking paths are about 75 feet away from the sites. Today I went down and stood in the walking path by the foot bridge that takes you across the river and nailed the first couple to come past just to have some one to talk to. I've be carving then walking then carving then walking. I'm beginning to loose weight. I don't know if it the raw veggie diet or if I've just lost that much blood cutting my fingers. But, since I start to eat all my veggie raw I've gone from 223 pounds to 208 pounds. I can actually get my belt fastened and have about 3 holes left over.
  17. I got this thing to work a little bit on my amplifier. So I'll send what I wrote in MS WORD a couple of days ago. This campground is really sheltered by the cliffs. We get very little wind and I went into town the other day to get some lunch meat and it was blowing like gang busters in there. Well I got off to a good start this morning and was on the road by 7:30 AM. As I past Dave’s place I honked the horn and waved but he must have been sleeping. (Or Millie didn’t like the taste of his ear) There was no wind all the way to Villanueva St Park, NM. In fact there was no nothing. Boy is that lonesome territory out there on US 60. I was able to get gas in Mountainair not too far past Dave’s place. It was so lonesome out there that I saw a shoe laying beside the road. I got out and smelled it to see if it had been recently occupied. Fresh as a daisy. I saw an Antelope (pronghorn) lying beside the road. I’ll swear it raised its right hoof and waved at me. Or maybe it was trying to hitchhike and I just didn’t see any thumb. My GPS was trying to take me down every cow pasture lane it came to and some that it didn’t come to. In no way did it want me to go down Highway US 60 or NM 3 . I tried to talk me into going up to Santa Fe until I got within 20 miles of the park and there were no other roads turning off. The park is a pretty park. It’s on the Pecos River and has tall sandstone cliffs on both side of it. That should keep the wind at bay. I can see branches blowing up on top of the cliffs but it’s calm down here. The area is covered with Juniper trees about 15 to 20 ft tall. I don’t think they will shade my solar panels but the high cliff might make the day a little shorter on both ends. And you guessed it. I’ve been nipping on the vanishing cream again. There is absolutely NO PHONE SIGNAL. So I won’t be doing much posting for the next couple weeks. The ranger said there’s a Grocery store in Town but no gas station. So I’ll be conserving my gasoline while here and attempt that trick of putting 10 cu ft of food in my 6 cu ft frig again. The Stay limit here is two weeks instead of the 3 weeks in most NM State Parks. That should let me get by with one trip to town for food and wait till the day I leave to dump and refill the Fresh water tank. I typed this the first day I got here but I typed it in my word processor. So Lord knows when I’ll get a chance to paste it into the Forum post thingy. I ask the Ranger how I was supposed to contact the outside world with no phones in here. He said do you have a blanket and a match to light a fire. I don’t think smoke signals will work. There is a fire ban on. While setting up I broke the telescoping rod with the magnet on one end and a yellow ball on the other end. I use it to keep from busting my shins on the tow bar that I store in the hitch on my trailer. I was filing the end of the tubing to see if I could get it back in the tube it had been attached to and slipped and cut another finger on the sharp metal I went through the TP and bandaid process again and this time I checked at least 5 times before I was satisfied that I had bandaged the right finger. A few minutes later I was typing and I spotted a drop of blood on the tip of my finger. I was about to run outside and stick my head in the sand but I saw that it was just oozing out the end of the bandage where it wasn’t big enough to cover the whole cut. Wheeeeewww. I just knew the boys in the white coats were going to be knocking on the door any time now.
  18. Well I got the laundry done and emptied and rinsed the holding tanks so I guess I'm resdy to go tomorrow morning. If that wind is as strong as Dave says I won't need to stop at his place and siphon his gas to make it to Villanueva SP, NM. The wind usually comes from the west and I'm heading east most of the way. I think I may have invented a new way to loose weight. I just checked the frig and it is getting low on a lot of things. I checked the towns around Villanueva and the biggest thing I find is Villanueva itself and it only has about 200 residence. I might come up a little short on the vittles. I checked to see how far Las Vegas, NM is from there and the way the roads run what would be about 23 miles the way the crow flies ends up being 45 miles via the roads. I'm beginning to think that you can't get to there from here. The wind has been blowing all day here but not too bad and it has calmed down a lot this evening. The wind usually doesn't kick up around here until afternoon and I should be there by then. It's only about 118 miles via the blue roads. If I went via the interstate it would be about 145 miles and I'd have to go through Albuquerque and Santa Fe. No Thanks I'll wander around in the boonies any old day rather that battle the cities.
  19. I went to Belen this morning and got a tank of LP then went to Wally World and got a prescription filled and found a builders supply to get some clear plastic tubing to make blade guards for all the new knives I got in the mail yesterday. But guess what. I forgot to top of the truck gas tank and that's about the closest gas station. Oh well, I'm only going about 100 miles Monday so maybe I can stop at Daves and siphon his tank to get me there. When I got back to the RV Park I was going to do laundry but it wouldn't do me much good until after I take a shower. I'll do that tonight. (Maybe I can wash my clothes in the shower and kill two birds with one stone.) So I didn't get much done as far as getting ready to go. I did get a lot done on the carving project though. I actually had the carving all done but have been sanding on it for the past two days. I almost got that done now. The Celtic knot in the spone handle is a booger to sand. Soos, For kitchen cabinet room I doubled all the shelves except one for tall boxes etc. then I made sliding trays or boxes to put stuff in so I can get at even the stuff in the back of the shelf. Have Paul take a look and see if he can't put a shelf inbetween each existing shelf. I think I have oldtimers disease. I cut my finger the other day and it started to bleed so I held a piece of TP on it untill it quit. Then I put a bandaid on it. A few minutes later I notice a small spot of blood on my pants. So I got a cloth and used cold water to get it out but while doing so I kept getting more and more spots on my pants. Upon closer examination I found I had put the bandaid on the wrong finger and I had started the cut to bleed again by bumping it or something. So, back to the TP to stop the bleading then a new bandaid. A few minutes later I sat down at the piano and played a tune and here comes the blood again. It was dripping all over the place. More TP. I sat down at the table in discuss and looked at the finger. Guess What, I had taped the wrong finger again. And the piano playing broke the cut open again. I'm beginning to think there is no help for me. Where is it that I was going to go Monday Morning?????
  20. Chalk one up for Steve. I thought I owned the whole trailer too. But maybe I just own the hole in the trailer. Now I'm confused. I got all my mail and the things I ordered in. The last package came in about 8:00 PM in one of those big brown trucks with UPS on the side. I had a heck of a time trying to find a place to store it all. I ordered 6 pieces of Cotton wood bark with that order and boy did he send some big pieces. ( I don't need that closet for clothes anyway. I'll just toss all my closes on the bed )( That way I can get dressed without getting out of bed) Now all I have to do to be ready to head out Monday morning is go to Belen tomorrow and get some LP gas and top off the truck tank. Then come back to the RV Park and do my laundry. Where are those cowgirls when you need one. Was a bit breezy today but not bad at all. I sat outside carving most of the day. The lady that lives beside me came over today and introduced herself and talked for a while. I showed her my carving and she had to run and get her husband and when he got here she ran to get another man she said did some carving of walking sticks and such. What started out as a friendly 10 minute chat with a neighbor ended up being an hour long show and tell party.
  21. Well I got part of my mail and one of the orders I am waiting for today. That's two down and two to go. The wind has been blowing most of the day but not too bad down here. I was able to sit outside and carve for a while this afternoon by sitting in the lee of my trailer. However, I had to give that up because the wind blowing the cotton wood tree beside me was causing the lighting to go from sun to shade to sun etc and I couldn't see very good. Looking over towards Dave's place I don't see anything but blowing sand. The mountains have vanished. Maybe Dave put them in his Casita before the wind blows them away too. Well if I get the rest of my mail tomorrow and the UPS delivers I'll be ready to head down the road again Monday. I have to do a laundry before I go anywhere though.
  22. After Breakfast with Dave. I got my saw out and finished the cut out for the carving project that my neighbor was so unhappy about yesterday. Then I went for a walk and stopped by the office to ask where the post office is that my packages would be at if they were to large for delivery. She told me Bosque. The other day the other gal said that Bosque was an area not a town. Anyway I decided to jump in the truck and check it out for myself. It is a town. It does have a Post Office and it is 10 miles up Hwy 116 at the intersection with hwy 134. That Post Office will probably go the way of all the rest of the small towns around here because it is only 5 miles more into Belen. This after noon I sat outside roughing out the carving I started and the wind kicked up a little but my trailer was blocking it. However I think Dave was being well dusted as I could barely see the mountains behind his place. I guess it's just getting cranked up for that 70 mph blast Dave says they are expecting tomorrow. Maybe I'd better pull in the slide when I go to bed tonight. I thought that weather man who was forcasting 10 days of good weather had been nipping a bit. Or maybe all the hot air he was putting out is what is causing all this wind.
  23. I got up an ate my Cheerios then took off for the big metropolis of Belen (Pronounced "Bail in") These people talk funny. After I stopped at the Wal-Mart gas station and started to get gas, it wouldn't accept my credit card. I went to the girl in the Kiosh and she couldn't get it to go through either. So I got out my bank card and paid for the gas with that. As I was driving away I got a text message from the credit card company saying that it appears that an unauthorize charge was attempted with my card but if I authorized it to respond to the message. I don't do Text especially in a gas station. When I got in Wal-mark my phone rang and it was an automated call saying about the same thing. Now if they think I'm going to answer a phone while I'm pumping gas they got another think coming. I think I'll call them and tell them to cancel the card. That has happened twice now. After my morning on the town I came back to the rig and tried to put 10 cubic feet of groceries in a 6 cubic foot frig. Don't try it. It doesn't work. When I finally got the groceries cramed into every available and some not so available cranies. I drove out to Dave's place. I had no trouble at all finding it. And the washboard road he was complaining about is smooth as glass at 40 MPH but boy did I raise a cloud of dust. When I pulled up to his gate. It was locked so I tooted the horn. After a few minutes Dave stuck his head out and said just a minute till I get some clothes on. His girl friend came out and started kissing on me and beging me to rub her belly. (Millie the Mooch) Dave and I talked for an hour or so. He has a nice spread out there but boy is it out there. As I turned into his drive I think I saw a sign saying DANGER THE END OF THE EARTH AHEAD. Nah, actually he's about a 1/4 mile from the End of the Earth. He told me about a couple of little towns near by where I could get gas and minor groceries without having to drive all the way to Belen. So I drove over there to investigate. They are quaint little town. I enjoyed the trip over there. I'll get my bread and milk there just to go back and talk to the store owners again. They even have an official US Post Office. I came back to the RV park and got my tools out to saw out a Celtic Knot design I want to carve. I know more than started to saw with my little hand held jig saw and the lady next door yelled out her window. "JC! I can't even hear my self think with that racket. I thought to myself that's because you are not capable of thinking. Now the Interstate is only about 100 yard away and trucks a coming past day and night and making a lot of racket. The dogs around here are barking at everything that moves and the burros are getting into the act at every oportunity and she yelles at me and I hadn't been sawing for over a minute. Some People. Anyway I came inside and sawed a little more with a coping saw so she could listed real close and see if she could hear herself think. The Coping saw don't work worth a darn so tomorrow I'm going to use the jig saw again and if she hollers I'll have a few choice word all ready for her. I've got a good notion to set off the alarm on my truck when I get up to go pot about 3 AM tonight. I might as well get everyone mad at me instead of just one old fat gal. Any way I'm still enjoying the place.
  24. House Work for an Exercise program. Hummm No wonder I'm in such sad shape. I was tring to clean up some of the dust from yesterdays wind storm with what little water I had left before coming up here to Dave's. All I did was make some might nice looking mud patties. I pulled into Kiva RV Park nears Dave's place today about noon. This place has Current Bushes all over the place. And they have some funny looking pipes that come out of the ground and water runs out of them so I hooked my hose to one and I have running water in my trailer now. I got the water and electric hooked up as fast as I could then went in and took a shower and shaved. I completely ran out of hot water before I shaved so I had to sit here and drink a couple of cups of coffee waiting for hot water to shave with. Tomorrow I'll drive into town to get some Gasoline and Groceries and now that I've showered and shaved maybe they will let me join the Human Race again. I called to have my mail sent here and also ordered some carving stuff to be delivered here by UPS. So, I'll be here at least a week if not more. I called Dave and we talked for about an hour. My phone battery was about to run out of juice so I told Dave I'd see him tomorrow after I got back from town. And the best part of all is: It is a perfectly beautiful day. No wind and in the high 60's. It's a rough life but someone has to live it.
  25. Well my friend arrived yesterday and we had a really long talk last evening. Then today we went to Truth or Consequences to check out the Elephant Butte State Park and the Monticello unit on the north end of the lake. We both like the park we are in better than any of the other parks in the area. After to Parks tour we went to KBOB'S for dinner and had Kbobs. They were good. I haven't had one for a long time now. After returning to the campground I started getting the trailer ready to pull out tomorrow. I'm very short on water so I tried to get the sand from the wind storms cleaned up and about all I accomplished was making so mighty nice looking mud pies. I'll be staying in a commercial Rv Park tomorrow up near Dave's Place so I'll just wait and try to get the thing mucked out up there. The wind was fairly calm this morning and a good share of the Day but it's been Blowing with Vengence for the past 4 hours. It's supposed to be nice for the next 10 days. I sure hope that weather man isn't having pipe dreams. Well back to my job of getting this rig ready to roll again.
