I don’t remember it having any more power after it was fixed or any difference in fuel economy. Now an egr that is stuck part open will.

Some of the aftermarket housings deteriorate faster than the originals. In my opinion save up your money and call David at https://deepspacelighting.com/ The original lamps were crap even when new (very disappointing in a Volvo). David’s lights are a huge improvement over the original equipment and he is an active member here.

Maybe send Av8r3400 a pm. His business was or still is Auto Glass and may know if there is an alternative to the dealer.

Haven’t sold yet. I did have someone that wanted to see my truck when I got back from Tennessee. I should let him know I’m home but I really don’t want to meet with anyone yet. Would love to meet up at Bill and Joan’s and carry on to the national park.

Sorry I can’t help with the key.
My thought was if you can get it in park and then disconnect the battery for a few minutes maybe the computer will do a reset. If you can find the interlock bypass at least you can drive it until Jim finds out the expensive solution. Please let us know how you make out.

The most common problem for a shifter not moving out of park is a malfunctioning brake switch or blown fuse. I assume this could be the same issue. Step on the brake and check the brake lights. The 451 had a mechanical release under the console but I don’t know where it is on the 453.

Hi Carl
Thanks for checking in. We are doing fine. Fortunately all levels of government here have not contradicted the medical professionals and I think it has made a difference. You won’t find a politician here answering medical questions. Brenda and I live in a neighborhood where it is easy to get out and walk while easily maintaining social distancing. Sure wish there was somewhere to go camping.
Really the biggest problem I have is the dog keeps taking my spot on the couch when I get up.
Hard to believe it was only a month ago you were ahead of the curve and cancelled the ECR.

Here is a link to a British doctor who says the biggest lie about this virus is the people that are dying were going to die anyway.

Hi Al,
96” would work easily and after a quick measurement on mine I think 90 will work and still allow you to use wheel chocks. Since the wheelbase is only about 74 inches anything over that can be made to work.

I saw that but not sure when. Also would need to see if returning rv's by the owner or others would be classified as essential. In the past, there has been more than 1 story of people having issues in this regard.
I resemble that remark. -
That is a very generous offer Roger. Hopefully everyone is already home and well.

Sorry to hear you had to cancel but I understand why. Considering how far it has spread worldwide in three months who knows where it will be in another month.
We will find somewhere closer to home to go even if there is still snow on the ground.Nigel

Well said Carl.
See you next month.

There is a member here who uses his work truck to pull his fifth, cannot remember his handle, he has a red cabover
he would know about weigh stations fuel taxes and logs while on vacation.
only issue is hassle of insurance, logs and registration as a truck, but that would all be part of your business.
beyerjf It’s been a while since I’ve seen him post.

Hi Cory
I found this chart for fault codes. https://truckfaults.com/search-fault-codes
From what I can decipher your first one is a data link error and the second is related to coolant level. If you a retrieving the code through the instrument cluster there should be a date and time set with the code so you know when it was set. Might shed some light on when and why. If they are inactive and the coolant is full I would clear the codes and go for a drive to see if they come back. I’m not a mechanic so take my suggestion at your own risk.Nigel

I'm assuming it won't hurt to drive the RV this way until we get to a bigger town.
It depends on how fast the air is leaking. Actually iirc you aren’t supposed to drive with audible air leaks. The acceptable air loss rate for your unit would be 3 psi in one minute. Checked by bringing pressure to 100 engine off, key on, parking brake released and full application of brake pedal, watch gauge for one minute. Personally as long as the compressor will bring the pressure up full at idle I would be tempted to drive it to the first shop that could fix it.Nigel

Give us directions for a self guided tour and we will do the parade of smart cars. I have no issue being a designated driver and letting my wife pick out something for me to drink when we get back. We are going to be there early and leave late so for us it doesn’t necessarily have to be rally week.

I know there is a shutter in there and maybe it could restrict flow if it fails internally. I don’t know just didn’t happen to me.
