  1. Never heard of such. They probably want to make sure the lights work hooked to a tow vehicle.

Have to admit our schedule has been such that we’ve never had ours inspected since buying it. Not against doing it. Just never have been able to when in Texas.

  2. Related to a 5er Montana with Dexter axles. Shortly after we bought a few years ago I replaced the Chinese bearings, races and seals with USA made Timkens. The difference in quality and even weight was obvious.

Annually, I repack by hand the bearings correctly with the specified grease using one of those tools you can connect to a grease gun. This is after properly cleaning and inspecting the bearing, races and hub. Use a new Timken seal each time. Also tighten the hub bolt according to the proper procedure. I learned how to pack a bearing totally by hand years ago but the repacking accessory for a grease gun is easier and I think actually does a better job of pushing all the old grease out.

My question: is it necessary to also apply a grease gun to the hub zert and fill up the inside hub using the EZ Lube system, spin the wheel, until you see grease, etc? I’ve not been doing that.

EZ Lube hubs burned me once years ago so I like the peace of mind of repacking by hand.

  3. I GOAL the site before even trying. Check for any obstructions. I'll form a picture in my mind of exactly what I want to happen and how it will look properly lined up on the side I can see. Happily will circle around if I'm not starting in the most optimal position. DW just watches the side I cannot see and informs me over cell phone if any issues.

Once you get backed in pretty good and straight, small corrections to one side or the other are not complicated. DW keeps an eye on the part I cannot see.

I've had some good help from camp hosts in complex sites. They knew the trick in dealing with a problem tree for example. A campsite neighbor came over and asked if I would like help. Was hot outside for DW. We discussed the plan beforehand. He knew hand signals very well. Aced it right in there the first time.

A few times I've had to politely ignore someone.

You can also politely ask maybe the DW? I like to discuss with the driver, GOAL together, so we are all on the same plan. For me this works better than just running over and start flapping your arms randomly.

Could this be coming to the US eventually? It sure would make the monthly cost more appealing...

"Starlink Imposing High-Speed Data Caps in France (But Monthly Cost Will Drop)"

"Under the new policy, users in France may experience slower speeds once they exceed a 250GB data download limit, according to a message SpaceX sent to customers."

Actually that seems to be workable and not a bad idea.

  5. This seems to be a common theme I’m seeing on the internet. Copy and paste.

“We have a 2018 Montana 3931FB Legacy. We were toying with the idea of downsizing to a smaller 5th wheel or travel trailer. We mainly use our rig for weekend trips and a couple of week long trip each year.  I was amazed how bad the construction was on the new units. We looked a 6 or 7 new models and there was not a single one that looked good.  All had some obvious problems. I was also amazed the price they were asking for these horribly constructed units.

Needless to say we have decided to keep our Montana and continue enjoying it.”

  6. Our 2016 Montana's Dometic 9100 power awnings need a fabric replacement. There's a growing tear and one has begun to come loose from the 5er mount due to stitching worn out.

Any idea on good quality replacement fabrics/providers? So far I've found ShadePRO.

Watched a few videos and may do it myself with some help. Or possibly check with a mobile tech in the DFW area. We are located in the greater DFW area.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

It is interesting to me that to date I have heard nothing of anyone attempting to compete with Starlink? That makes me wonder if it is showing a profit yet? With SpaceX a privately held company it is difficult to know. To date there don't seem to be any efforts to compete with them for business. It has been fun to watch!

Kirk they have an advantage in they can also launch the satellites. Check out the payload. One rocket can carry a whole bunch of Starlink units.

"A single orbital launch of Starship could place up to four hundred Starlink satellites into orbit; for comparison, Falcon 9 flights in 2019 and 2020 have launched a maximum of 60 satellites each."

As of 18 May 2022, SpaceX has over 2,300 functioning Starlink satellites in orbit

RV warranties are at best, problematic. Usually they are worthless.

Eat the cost of the regulator and earn the right to gripe about them in the future, online and in person to everyone who asks.

Its a small price to pay. You get to freely post truthful but negative tweets, scathing facebook posts, and angry forum rants and these will cost that company more than the regulator reimbursement ever would have.

It's time these companies quit screwing their customers. (like that will ever happen).

This is a recall which is completely different and more serious than a warranty claim.
