Congrats on selling it. Took 14 months to sell my 2012 Hitchhiker that had LOTS of extras. Had to take a much lower price than I think it was worth.
Now trying to sell my other one, a 2007 Hitchhiker and a Ford F350.

How many miles are on the truck?

Thanks for the comment TXiceman. Maintenance and fixes have been done, EGR for sure and I am pretty sure head bolts. Whatever it needed, my husband did. He maintained all his vehicles extremely well.

"Mrs Seas" here Responding to an earlier ask about his illness. It was very unexpected and quick. My advice to all is to make sure you have all affairs in order. Make sure your spouse knows all the key passwords to accounts and is listed as FULL access to make changes on any account (utility, bills, banks, etc). They should also be well informed on the operation of your truck, trailer, and toys. I was fortunate to have a lot of this but there were still quite a few challenges since we were not prepared for him to be gone so fast.
This came out of nowhere and took us quite by surprise. We went on our last trip in the HDT and RV in January of last year. He drove, and even took a side trip by himself for a few days, which we found out later he should not have done. We discovered in February that he had a very advanced and aggressive brain cancer (glioblastoma). He died in late April.
Life is short and unpredictable. Enjoy it while you can!

They are also concerned about fire wood.....

Sorry we missed ya!
Safe travels!

How's the road in?
Bugs?

As usual size would be helpful.....

Good luck on your hunt for those "pesky" air leaks. Don't get too "consumed" chasing the leaks....it will drive you bonkers!
Some folks have had some great success using one of these......https://www.amazon.com/Inficon-711-202-G1-Whisper-Ultrasonic-Detector/product-reviews/B000TRJA8M

Maybe renting from the different dealers will give you an chance to try out different makes and models of tractors and also "test drive" the dealers. Might make the decision of buying new or used or renting easier to make. We do get so much rain here in SoCal renting might be a better option $$$$ wise.

Part number is in "locked" part of thread..... no can get too!

Larry,
That's good news for folks with newer trucks!
Did you "volunteer" to test out the new model for them?
-
Scott, I have directlink with electric trailer brakes, installed by Gregg at RV Haulers and have put over 12k miles on so far, works great.
That's good news... But I thought you had disc brakes on they beautiful trailer!
-
I did email the company and they did confirm you can use the Direclink and the Direclink NE with electric brakes.I know, that's why I'm asking before I call the company. Knowing that another RV is in our future, I also need to know that the "NE" will work with our electric drums. I like the ability to have the ABS feature on disc brakes in the future.
I guess I'll have to order one and try it out!
-
Does anyone use the Direclink brake controller with electric trailer brakes! It looks like most folks using this controller may have electric over hydraulic trailer brakes.
-
Glad you got it fixed!
Any chance you could share the part number of the sensor that was replaced?
Thanks,
-
Any chance you gals can by and join us in June for the West Coast HDT Rally we would love to meet you!

I had seen that setup before on a different website, but had forgotten about it.
I should have mentioned that this was how the previous manufacturer did the stair thing... I do not know if New Horizons is doing it this way or not.

Here is a picture of another brand that tried the main entry door in the slide and how the steps were stowed for travel.

Awesome job! Hate to put anything on there and scratch it! Your plan seems to be coming together nicely! Keep it up!

I thought that was part of the master plan....
