  1. How many tour without a toad?

Keep in mind that along with a toad, you'll need a supplemental braking system, a tire monitoring system and with the trending design of new gas stations that are RV unfriendly oriented, some planning will be needed for fuel acquisition. We've used toads in the past, but after many years of finally discovering who we are as Rvers, we decided that using the KISS mindset is the best for us. Breakdowns? We have Good Sam and it's worked for us on three different occasions...including two tows. Need transportation after a breakdown? Car rentals work for that as well as sightseeing situations. The end result will be what you decide what will work for you....as all these fine folks who kindly responded to you have mentioned. JUST.ENJOY.LIFE
  2. The article was originally referenced in a Cnn report. Dr Shulkin was initially supportive of the concept of eliminating some "redundant " compensation for certain disabled veterans in order to make available more services for more veterans...and it's true, he later reversed his thinking once he did additional research on the matter. As an aside, I don't see discussing veterans issues as being particularly political but I take your comment in the spirit it was intended.
  3. Weighing RV/Toad

Just spent a month on the Oregon coast...most KOA's are not only dog friendly but have great fenced dog runs that are well maintained....California KOA's are similar.
  4. But in another matter, President Trumps' proposed budget will eliminate benefits for some quarter million disabled veterans in order that other veterans can have access to choice. Talk about robbing Peter to pay Paul! The rationale that another non veteran (Shulkin) uses is so senseless it's almost laughable if it weren't so damaging to the veterans who rely on their disability checks to make ends meet.
  5. Class C Leveling

Does anybody who has or had a Class C motorhome ever permanently mount levels in ascertaining best level of a campsite? Where did you mount them on the cab chassis where you could visually make adjustments on the fly...so to speak? I realize there are those of you who feel "close enough" is adequate, but I would appreciate hearing from those folks who might be so inclined ,as we are ,to get close to true level for reasons besides refrigerator operation. Thank You
  6. GPS

Anyone recommend a travel worthy GPS we might obtain? Our rig isn`t large but we HATE surprises! Thanks 12 View 24J 12 Honda CRV
