  1. There actaully is a second regulator at each appliance. I'll find an adapter and remove those and let y'all know how that works. Thanks a bunch!
  2. My toy hauler has a quick connect fitting for hooking up exterior appliances. I bought a 25 foot hose to go from the quick connect to a gas grill and 2 burner gas camping stove that are designed to run on 1 pound gas cylinders. Each appliance comes on and functions, but the flame is very low. I checked both of my propane tanks. One is full and one is only 1/4 full. Why would the grill and stove not operate correctly when hooked up to the quick connect on the toy hauler?
  3. Thank you all very much for your great ideas! This newbie really appreciates your help. I really like the idea of an inverter generator. There is no way I could lift one in and out of the storage compartment for the generator, so this weekend I'm going to put the four wheeler and Harley in the garage (It's a 10 foot garage) and see if there is enough room for the generator. It would be pretty easy getting it up and down the ramp. Then I can use the front generator bay for storage! I really like the idea of a quiet generator that uses less gas than a standard RV generator. It may take a couple of months before I can afford the generator but once I get it and figure out what I am doing I will post some pictures to this thread. Thanks again!!!!
  4. We bought a toy hauler that did not come with a generator. I know almost everything that we looked at came with one of the big green Onan generators by Cummins. We need a 5500 watt generator and the standard Onan 5500 watt costs about $5500. Would it be possible to get a portable inverter generator and use that instead? We can get a higher wattage portable inverter generator that uses less gas and is much smaller for under $2000 for a quality model. Could we just get one of those and hook it up in the generator cubby hole? Any advice / experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
  5. Thank you we actually decided to go with e bikes. We will be purchasing 2 fucare libre 750 models. We will have room for those, a four wheeler for when we are boon docking, and our Harley softail in the toy hauler. Great solution. Thanks a bunch for the idea.
  6. Thank you both for your input. I'm still thinking but that was some great advice and I really appreciate it.
  7. My wife and I will go to full time living in a toy hauler within the next couple of years. We will spend a lot of time in national campgrounds, state campgrounds, and boondocking. We will spend a very limited amount of time in commercial campgrounds. Due to her mobility issues we will need a way for us to get around the campgrounds and due a bit of exploring. It's my understanding that UTVs are a no go. Is that correct? What about golf carts? Are they allowed by most parks? Do they have to be electric or can they be gas? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!
