  1. 2017 Ford C-Max Energi Titanium (Tow-Ready) Tow-ready, with Roadmaster Invisibrake supplemental brake system! Includes Blue-Ox baseplate, 6-diode (vs 4-diode) turn signal system so turn signals operate separately from brake lights (for added safety), and -- of course -- Roadmaster Invisibrake. A supplemental brake system is required when flat-towing a vehicle in almost all 50 states, and Invisibrake is the (undisputed) easiest to use. Because the car has the Titanium trim level, it has push button start. So preparing to tow requires only pushing the button to start the engine, shifting into neutral, then pushing the button again to stop the engine -- and you're ready to go! The car has only a little under 72k miles currently and was towed just once, about 1,100 miles. The car is worth the asking price on its own, but comes at significant savings when considering the tow equipment included on the vehicle retails for about $4,000 (installed). The car is pretty great on its own, even without the flat-towing equipment. The Titanium package includes leather upholstery, a Sony Sync3 entertainment system -- which employs Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, and gorgeous alloy wheels, among other upgrades. My wife enjoys driving it to work because it will go about 20 miles in EV mode on a single charge, which means that much of the time she uses no gas for her commute! Also, we have it scheduled to charge overnight when electricity rates are highly discounted, so the cost of owning the car is very low. When the battery is depleted or it needs additional power, the 2.0 liter engine engages in regular hybrid mode, which gets about 39 mpg on its own. Whether EV or hybrid mode, the accelerator is amazingly responsive, which many expert reviews of this car will confirm. It has a high profile, so driver and passengers sit a little higher in the seats than a car, as in a crossover or compact SUV. It also has brand new Continental True Contact all-season radials, which is rated best in its class and is especially strong in responding to slick weather. In sum, the C-Max is a pleasure to drive and also travels very nicely when towed behind a motorhome. We love the C-Max and are selling it only because we will be unable to make good use of the premium towing equipment since we recently sold our motorhome. Shame to see all that helpful equipment go to waste, so we hope to find someone who will enjoy using the C-Max as your tow-behind vehicle. Comes with the charger shown in the second-to-last photo (garage wall not included). Email itasca.horizon@yahoo.com or phone 319-435-1729 (call or text) for additional information.
  2. This modest-sized diesel pusher has approximately 72k miles on a Caterpillar 330HP diesel engine and Allison 6-speed automatic transmission on Freightliner Evolution chassis with air-ride suspension. Lots of basement storage and a large pull-out storage tray. Large holding tanks including 80 gal fresh water. Appliances in excellent condition, including washer/dryer in bath, large 4-door refrigerator, microwave/convection oven, and propane range in kitchen. Lots of space including a full-wall slide-out wardrobe in the bedroom and another slide-out in the main living area. Residential-style air conditioning and heat pump in basement and separate propane furnace. Interior is in very good condition with solid oak cabinetry and nice, dry ceiling panels – no leaks or stains. Nice carpet in main living space and bedroom with beautiful ceramic tile in kitchen and bath. Asking $39,900 (negotiable). The asking price is relatively low (and negotiable) because, although the motorhome is usable in its current condition, it requires some reconditioning to take full advantage of its many features. It has extensive clearcoat damage on the driver side, although the paint beneath is good. Also, the Onan 7500 Quiet Diesel generator starts and runs but needs a replacement PMA (rotor/stator assembly p/n A053K355) before it will generate power, although shore power works well. Lastly, the engine has a slight oil leak that appears to come from the oil transfer pump on the front of the fuel pump assembly. On the positive side, it has all-new Toyo M154 tires with balancing beads in the front tires for superior handling on polished aluminum wheels. Any weak storage compartment springs and broken latches were recently replaced. Old seals at roof radius on both sides were recently completely removed and replaced with new ProFlex RV sealant. We bought the motorhome and equipped a 2017 Ford C-Max Energi Titanium (leather interior and fully equipped) – with also approximately 72k miles – to flat-tow behind it so we could sell our home when we retire later this year and live in the motorhome while considering our retirement options. We’re selling the motorhome because we have learned that we need to stay put for awhile longer and cannot afford to keep both it and the house. We would also be willing to sell the car if you need it to flat tow behind the motorhome. The car has the Roadmaster Invisibrake supplemental brake system, which is easiest to use because it requires no setup. It also has a 6-diode (vs 4-diode) tow wiring system, so turn signals operate separately from brake lights for safety when towing, and a Blue Ox tow baseplate. A Blue Ox Ascent BX4370 non-binding tow bar (with protective cover) and all associated towing cables are included, if you purchase the car. The car has brand new Continental True Contact tires and is available (fully equipped) at $18,000. Although the listed price on the motorhome is negotiable, the price on the car is firm. I can be reached via the Offer up app for additional information or to arrange next steps. I have clear titles in-hand for both the motorhome and the car. If you like one or both when you come to inspect, settlement can take place at my local credit union, where a bill of sale can be notarized. A deposit will hold one or both vehicles for a reasonable amount of time until you arrive for inspection and settlement. You can reach me at itasca.horizon@yahoo.com or 319-435-1629 (call or text).
