We love driving on the Million Dollar highway between Ouray and Silverton. The scariest experience we had was driving on the side of the road without guard rales when a big class A RV was taking up part of our lane coming towards us. Hair raising because we had no place except down off the road to avoid hitting it. They apparently were trying to not drive too close to mountain side. But there and back safe and sound, just be aware of other drivers.
