  1. HI, I have a 2019 Thor Aria Diesel Pusher and a 2018 Jeep Wrangler and use a Camco Air Force One brake system. It's a bit more money but found that it works well with air brake systems.
  2. Have a 2019 Aria 3601 with 5K miles on it, it is a Cummins® ISB-XT 6.7L Engine and was looking at the Coolant overflow bin and noticed the level was below the minimum line as denoted on the bin. Should the coolant level be checked via the overflow bin and if so does the engine need to be warm or cold or running when you check it. Second question is how do you add coolant, do you just add it to the overflow bin when engine is cold, any recommendations on type of coolant would be appreciated. There are instructions next to the coolant bin that are quite complicated but believe that is to remove and refill coolant versus topping it off. Appreciate your feedback.
  3. Thanks for all the responses, I adjusted the external water pressure to 45 and all works well. Issue solved.
  4. I have a Girard Model GSWH-2 tankless water heater. It is activated by water flow according to the manual. Works great from bathroom faucet and shower with no problems. When I turn on the hot water from the kitchen sink it does not trigger the water heater, even though its further away from the tank it should still trigger water flow. Even if I turn on shower or bath faucet to get the water heater on and then turn on kitchen faucet it does not always stay on once I turn off the other appliance. Any ideas or thoughts would be helpful.
  5. Thanks for the feedback, does anyone use or have info on the Air Force One brake system for Air Brakes?
  6. Has anyone used the Demco Stay and Play DUO braking system for a Diesel Pusher with air brakes? Service department says it compatible with air brakes but some reviews suggest it is not for diesel rigs. Appreciate any insights.
  7. It’s a 100w solar, came with new rig and it has a controller.
  8. I am sure this question has been asked / answered a 100 times but was unable to find it on the forum. Two questions. Just returned from picking up my Rig, have the RV parked in driveway for a few days to clean it up. I plugged it into the house outlet using a 15amp to 50amp connection. Will this keep my batteries charging and are there any concerns to be aware of. I did turn off the Residential Fridge, lights etc.. Also, I will be keeping the RV in storage for a few weeks until I use it again, was planning on turning off house batteries and the engine batteries. I do have a 100W solar panel that charges the batteries. Is this the right approach, I am not in freezing weather so don't need to winterize. Appreciate any feedback.
  9. Thanks ARGO for your feedback. On the Silicone suggestion, assume you spray inside of door... no shine on weatherstrip indicates gaps that need to be addressed.
  10. This rig has only 1200 miles on it (so no wear and tear), looking for feedback on experiences with a high pitch whistling noise coming from the passenger side of the front cab. We have a Aria 3601 with the coach door in the front cab. I have read situations with front grills, this rig being a Diesel it does not have a front grill. Have also read about removing and reseating the front windshield, open to any other ideas. The rig is with the dealer, they are struggling to find the cause of the noise. They have tried resealing the coach door but had no impact. I have also reach out to Thor support. Appreciate your ideas and suggestions.
  11. Thank you for the quick response, did you make pads (if so what material did you use) or what pads did you purchase?
  12. A couple of additional questions.. Are Wheel Chocks and Stabilizer Pads (like rv snap pads) required for Class A Diesel?
  13. Thanks Kirk, Good idea on the locks, will have to check that out I’m sold on no in-motion TV, was just getting others feedback as validation. Was curious if folks with young kids or grand kids in tow make use of that feature.
  14. Thanks Rod, in-motion is for co-pilot only (vs the driver), but not sure its worth the extra $$. Good points on security.
  15. A quick update and a couple of additional questions. We completed our purchase yesterday (YEAH) and are excited to get out on the road. Plan on picking up the rig before the new year (getting the punch list worked). Have compiled quite a list of essential items to purchase (thank you for your feedback) and have been busy purchasing these items. Would like your feedback on the following. 1: Researching Satellite options. Wanted to see if many of you believe the In-Motion units are worth the extra $$. Do you use the in-motion feature often while traveling. 2- Any security tips for when the RV is in storage, this would be over and above the security that comes with the storage facility itself (locked access, cameras, etc). Researched security systems and options are very limited due to power constraints and lack of wifi.
  16. Thanks for the additional information, I have a bit more homework to do.
  17. Do the sewer hoses typically have to be elevated / supported and off the ground at most campsites? Also looking for feedback on whether or not an RV GPS is a must have as I take delivery and bring the RV home (400 mile trip)? I ordered the truckers atlas as a back-up an have seen the posts and feedback on the most recent GPS's. Do you use one specific for RV's when traveling? The RV has GPS built-in but would be surprised if it has the Height Restrictions & Road Grade information.
  18. Thanks for the feedback, on Coach Net Roadside assistance, is that needed if I have Roadside as part of my RV Insurance, the Insurance has a $2000 cap for towing, is that enough coverage for a Diesel Pusher? How much does Coach net cost typically?
  19. Yes, I expect this to be a learning experience, checklists I have covered. Do you have recommendation on where I can get a good deal on the "Patience"
  20. Thanks for the feedback, The RV is 50 Amp, if the campsite only has 30 Amp Service, how does that impact the running of the RV?
  21. Linda, Thanks for the feedback, what type of fire extinguishers did you buy and how many do you have and what locations in the RV do you keep them.
