  1. On our way to meet up with some fellow Xscapers we stop off at Truck Haven for some shut eye. The next day we find some free camping near Yuma Arizona, American Girl Mine to be exact.

RVing is more fun with friends! A few weeks ago we met Jill and Curt at the Xscapers annual bash. Instantly being connected through off roading, they invited us down to boondock near American Girl Mine just north west of Yuma Arizona. Over the the next few days we did some exploring, off roading and smoked some delicious meats together. We also go to the valley of the names and drive to the bottom of American Girl mine, this is a fun one! Hope you enjoy!

At the Xscapers annual Bash 2020 we took our full size RAM on a jeep trail. We joined fellow Xscapers to hit Redline jeep trail. The tow rig did pretty well and everyone was glad to have us along.

This was such an amazing way to jump right into meeting new people at the Xscapers Bash. Our tow rig has been highly modified for towing and off road performance, rock sliders, extra shocks and larger all terrain tires. This trail pushed us to the limit though, trying a couple different bonus lines we ended up needing a small tow strap tug! Everyone on the trail was great and happy to watch us give it a try. Looks like we might need new bumpers though.......we received some minor carnage. Hope you enjoy the video!

  3. Let's talk about getting out of your comfort zone! This video is a perfect example and will be empowering to many people. Heading back from the Xscapers Bash Melissa decides to tow our huge 5th wheel.

Imagine doing something COMPLETELY out of your comfort zone. How does that make you feel? How does that make you grow? Well that's exactly what Melissa did, she faced her fears. To be honest it wasn't that bad. Trailer/RV towing can be nerve racking for beginners, take it slow, be methodical and have a great teacher! Seek Discomfort people, it's the only way to grow! Hope you enjoy the video and get value out of it. Please give it a share if you are empowered.

  4. Xscapers is a group within the Escapees RV Club, geared towards newer generations of RVers. Dry camping at Xscapers Annual Bash was amazing. This was our first event and it did not disappoint.

Xscapers is a diverse community with active, adventurous RVers, that work while on the road full or part time! Located in Lake Havasu Arizona the annual bash is the largest event they do all year. Almost 400 RVs and 700 people converge to share laughs, gain knowledge, make friends and memories. This event (our first) is packed with fun activities such a boot camps, hiking, concerts, Olympics and seminars. This is a brief video of what to expect at the event. Hope you enjoy and if you haven't joined the club, you don't know what you are missing.

RV Bike storage solution! Over the past year we have had our fair share of struggles with our bike's, keeping them secure and in good working condition. Obviously it makes sense to store the bikes in the toy box out of the weather. Wrapping them in furniture pads to keep them protected. Removing the front tires saving valuable space. Also showing you my new to me Specialized Camber mountain bike. Mountain biking is a sport that I am trying to get back into after a couple years off. I take the bike out for it's maiden voyage on a local trail in Southern California. Hope you enjoy the video and find some value! Thanks for watching.

  6. This is one of our main reasons for RV living! Renting out our house and going full time saves us a lot of money on a monthly basis, which allows us to do more activities we love!

Heading up to our family cabin in Kernville, California, we get ready to hit the slopes! Just 20 minutes up the road from Wofford Heights is a small ski mountain know as Shirley Meadows or by it's official name, Alta Sierra. It has just two ski lifts and roughly 10 runs. They only open the slopes when they get enough fresh snow, so you'll have to time your skiing experience just right with the winter weather! This is California Snowboarding at it's finest, cheap lift tickets, and bluebird day with no lines!

In this video we explore Santa Barbara, California. Come along as we visit a great Atlas Obscura find, Knapp's Castle, then a giant fig tree, and finally bike along the Pacific Ocean. Our first stop is Knapp's Castle located in the Santa Barbara mountains, is an old ruin site. Rebuilding has started so make sure you get up there soon! We believe it will be a private residence soon. Stopping at the Santa Barbara train station to park the truck, we have a closer look at the Giant Fig tree that was planted many years ago. It's definitely a site to see. The hopping on the bikes after almost 5 months to cruise the boardwalk, is was a great day hope you enjoy the video!

  8. Continuing to explore the open desert we head over to Burro Schmidt Tunnel in the Mojave Desert. Carved all by hand taking over 33 years, this tunnel goes all the way through a mountain.

We enter the tunnel and show you what it's like on the inside and all the way through. On this adventure I have gotten pretty good at crashing our drone and Melissa finds a unique use for the GoPro. After spending a good amount of time exploring around the tunnel we cut back across the desert. Attempting to find another mine but the road conditions wouldn't cooperate.

Dogs love RV Living also! Traveling with dogs can be difficult. But they get to be with you even more while discovering new sniffs, places and sticks to chew on! There are some things to consider.

We finally introduce you to our two dogs Blue and Zamboni. Going into their back stories, likes and dislikes. Towards the end of the video (Time Stamps)we go over pros and cons of RVing with pets. Boondocking, BLM and general camping with your pets and what to be aware of. Hope you enjoy our super cute pups! We absolutely love them.

We are back in the snow! New Years weekend takes us out into a snowy winter wonderland once again. Come along as we put the tow rig to the test as we hit some slushy 4x4 trails. Out in the California desert once again, to do some offroading in the snow and mud. California RV travel in snowy weather can make for difficult traffic conditions! We meet up with a friend to go exploring but the trail conditions throw us for a loop.

  11. It's finally here, winter wonderland snow camping In California. This past Thanksgiving we went out desert camping with friends. We didn't realize a huge winter storm was rolling in to Southern California. That didn't stop the fun, this video has all sorts of off roading, prerunning, delicious meats and snow mageddon! It was unexpected but we had a great time and made the best of it. This is a memory with friends that we will never forget.

  12. We are in Barstow California for the annual desert clean up and prerunning! this is an amazing event where overlanders, campers and outdoor enthusiasts get together and clean a local desert. It's a great event, the desert community gets together with many sponsors. They provide, all the cleaning supplies, dumpsters, t-shirts and event a huge raffle. We went out with the toy hauler, filled the truck with trash and watched some trucks jump. Hopefully this catches on!

  13.

In this video we are sharing some knowledge. If you like to tow your 5th wheel or travel trailer and still off-road, prerun, or 4x4, this might be helpful! We install Daystar airbag cradles, this cool system allows your truck or SUV to have full suspension travel and still tow heavy loads. We had previously ripped out one of our airbags due to the airbag limiting our droop travel. Now that issue is solved and we can still tow heavy loads. If you have any questiong please let us know!

  14. Well we left our trailer behind! This video is slightly different, as we take a weekend trip with out our trailer. Headed up to Sequoia National Forest and the Trail of 100 Giants. My parents have had a cabin up in Wofford Heights California for quite a while now and we decided it would make for a great get away. What do you do to get out of your trailer? Do you feel the need to change it up?

The Trail of 100 Giants is an absolutely amazing place. There is a small parking lot and in November it was quite busy. For a $5.00 fee you can park, use the toilets and walk the well maintained paved path.

  15.

Here we have a little how to video! I am by no means a mechanic, Ill show you my process for the "preform maintenance" light on my 2016 RAM 2500 Cummins turbo diesel. In my opinion it's a fairly simple job, with the research and information provided you can do this service yourself. Saving you a large sum of money, between $350.00-750.00. This project took me roughly 35 minutes and that's with filming. The filter costs $54.00 (linked below), please let me know in the comments if you have any questions!

  16.

This video is action packed! RV Living at it's finest, boondocking with friends, beautiful California desert and Prerunning. There's a little bit of everything in this one. We even break our truck! This video is about our journey to meet up with friends at their annual desert trip, Desert Palooza 2019. This event has been going strong for 15 years, out in Jawbone Canyon CA.

Along with all of that we show your one of our tips for fueling up with a large rig, give a few more details on our Grill that so many people keep asking about and of course we take you along for the ride while we go desert prerunning. Hope you enjoy the video!

  17.

Come along as we explore a few different areas along the 395 HWY in California. Rv living allows us the freedom to travel where ever our hearts, by simply following the weather and maintaining a strong cellular signal.

While camping north of Bishop California we head into town to explore there small shops and grab some coffee. The following day we wake up pretty early to make the trek north up the 395 to Ruby Lake Trail Head. The hike ends up being a perfect day hike in an extremely beautiful area. On our drive back to camp/home we decide to hitch up and head south back to Fossil Falls for the night. They have a small campsite that is VERY primitive, but only $6 a night.

  18. We go through our process to finding a free camping. We have been doing this for many years, so for us this seems like a simple thing but we realize there is a lot of information out there. From selecting your state and region. To different land use, apps, and websites that can help you along the way. The point of this video is so that you can learn the process, learn the rules of the land you are camping on and also learn potential hazards/dangers that you could run into. Like driving a 38 foot Toy hauler down a dirt road! Hopefully this brings a good amount of value to you. Thanks for watching!

  19. After having issues with our 5th wheel contacting our trailer we starting looking into all options. The Andersen Ultimate Connection kept catching our eye, this hitch is lighter and stronger than ever! Weighing in at 35 lbs it makes the removal process simple and helps with our payload.

With this installation I filmed as much detail as I could while also getting the job done. This hitch helps solve the problem short bed truck owners face, the base pushes the hitching point back 4 inches. Then when you install the coupler depending on your setup and configuration you can gain another 4 inches. We gained 8 inches of clearance, and that has been enough for us. Towing has been great! Let us know your thoughts!

  20. In this video we show you how we converted our standard toy hauler ramp door into a patio/porch. Many of these ramp's come like this from the factory but our 2017 Keystone Carbon did not have that option. So we decided to add it ourselves. We are by no means professionals, this is just a simple way we converted our toy hauler ramp into a patio. Now we have a dual purpose ramp, we can load up our toys and then set it into patio mode. Make sure you use hardware strong enough for you exact trailer and configuration.

  21. ✶✶✶IN THIS VIDEO✶✶✶ Well we got a new trailer and it's very large. Our first shake down trip didn't go quite as planned, we had many problems. We don't let that get us down, in Big Bear California for the weekend with friends. We do some boondocking near Big Bear. While we are in the area we head over to the Alpine Zoo! They help rehab injured animals and give homes to orphaned one's. 90% of the animals brought in are released back into their natural habitats. We also take some time to visit with a good friend that moved into the area many years ago. He bought a house and has been living his dream, fishing, hunting and snowboarding. Hope you enjoy the video, let us know your thoughts on the new rig and the problems that we encounter.

  22. We got a new rig! We are so excited, it took us a while to make a decision and we finally pulled the trigger, but we did it! Swapping rigs can be quite overwhelming, it's fairly similar to moving in a sticks and bricks but EVERYTHING eventually needs to find it's exact location!

With this video we are trying to show you our feelings that came with our process. From getting rid of our original trailer and the memories. To the excitement, hard work, and joy!

Please let us know your thoughts, have you switched rigs before?

  23. We are having more fun on the water. Jet skiing, paddle boarding and picking up floating river trash! Pirate Cove Resort is pretty amazing they have everything you could ask for. If you hang around till the end of this video you can see the amazing sunsets the area has to offer. We also give a quick resort summary/ review! Our thoughts on the place, let us know if you have any questions! Hope you enjoy the video!

  24. ✪✪✪In this video✪✪✪ We head to the Colorado River with friends for a long hot weekend. This is a family trip that our friends do every year and we happen to keep getting invited! While we were there the temperatures were ranging from 100-120 degrees! It's safe to say that we had to get a little creative considering that our trailer only has one A/C unit.

This video has so much fun packed in, boating, volleyball, swimming and much more.↩ Also stick around till the very end, we save a Prius! From a sand pit, our friends took a wrong turn at night. We ended up going on a rescue mission! Hope you enjoy the video!
